Shownotes
The significance of dealing with burnout at the residency level is what Dr. Tonya Caylor realized when she founded Joy in Family Medicine Coaching. She believes that developing a program with the tools and strategies would help physicians, early on in their career, create and sustain a work-life balance.
With over 20 years of clinical experience and 12 of those in academic medicine, Dr. Caylor continues to wear many hats as a community physician, on-call faculty, and as physician coach with a focus on residents, faculty, and new graduates. Listen as she shares her own burnout story.
“In a residency world, if they can clean up their mindset and pour in some self-care and get rid of the negative self-talk, they're going to be the best change agent they can be.”
- Tonya Caylor, MD
