Want to surprise yourself, you're going to surprise
Speaker:yourself with the things that you think of the ideas that you
Speaker:have. And I guarantee that your million dollar idea that you've
Speaker:been waiting for that you've been searching for probably
Speaker:searching for online trying to find through inspiration to
Speaker:other people online, through social media feeds through the
Speaker:content people are writing, you're trying to get inspired by
Speaker:them. You're trying to spark new thoughts and new ideas. That's
Speaker:all great to a certain extent. But
Speaker:for you to get your million dollar idea
Speaker:for you to create the life you want for you to truly step into
Speaker:your purpose for you to truly become the person that you're
Speaker:supposed to be putting needs to come from you.
Speaker:Hello, fellow Earthlings. Welcome to the becoming the big
Speaker:me podcast. I'm your host, Djemilah Birnie. And together,
Speaker:we will be stepping into our highest potential, exploring all
Speaker:things mind, body, and soul. With justice, major business,
Speaker:you're a spiritual badass solopreneur and a warrior for
Speaker:change, you're ready to expand your impact and leave your old
Speaker:self behind in order to raise your vibration so that you can
Speaker:positively influence your business, your community, and
Speaker:ultimately, the world. Without further ado, let's dive right
Speaker:into it.
Speaker:What is a party paid? Hey, hey, hey,
Speaker:I am in such
Speaker:a good mood today. It
Speaker:has been an absolutely fantastic last couple of days, there's
Speaker:just so much awesome shit going on right now. And I can't wait
Speaker:to share with you everything that's going on. Not yet,
Speaker:though, unfortunately, because I want to finalize everything, get
Speaker:everything all packaged up rolled out. So I can actually
Speaker:share the details accurately with you. But the past couple of
Speaker:days have just been a whirlwind of just inspiration, creativity,
Speaker:and just positivity coming into my life. And I am just so
Speaker:excited for what is to come. And what I am creating the
Speaker:inspiration and the ideas that have been coming to me the
Speaker:downloads. And I don't know, you know, there has been just some
Speaker:major, major energetic shifts since that last New Moon, which
Speaker:was the super new black moon, also the end of the retrograde
Speaker:and it's just like,
Speaker:I've just been just hit
Speaker:with so much awesomeness. And I want to just kind of talk about
Speaker:something that I believe plays into that. And that is the magic
Speaker:of creating space. I am talking about physical space, I'm
Speaker:talking about mental space. I'm talking about just space like
Speaker:base to be space to grow space to think space to do. And so one
Speaker:of the things that I have become obsessed with is cleaning things
Speaker:out purging and creating literal, physical space. When my
Speaker:daughter and I came back from Washington a couple of weeks
Speaker:ago, what two weeks ago now, when we came back, we spent
Speaker:several days just purging Marie Kondo in our life, just getting
Speaker:rid of things that were no longer using. Don't bring joy to
Speaker:our lives anymore. just creating space cleaning things out going
Speaker:through those dark corners of junk clothes, junk drawers,
Speaker:those bathroom shelves, those bathroom drawers that are just
Speaker:end up getting piled with all of this old stuff that you don't
Speaker:use went through all of our medicine cabinets just like
Speaker:cleared it out. And
Speaker:now it's like I can breathe in my home again,
Speaker:the things that are here I need the things that are here. I
Speaker:enjoy And it just makes me feel so much more high vibe. And not
Speaker:as part of what I'm talking about in the magic of creating
Speaker:space is in that that physical space going through getting rid
Speaker:of the dirt, getting rid of the old getting rid of the things
Speaker:that don't bring you joy in your home anymore. And this, you
Speaker:know, is a practice that is very, very, very important and
Speaker:talked about in Fung Shui. Now I don't really know much about
Speaker:Fung Shui, I would love to have a Fung Shui specialist on here
Speaker:at some point, because it is something that I'm extremely
Speaker:interested in learning more about, and something that I have
Speaker:been diving into a little bit on my own. And one of the big
Speaker:practices in Fung Shui is having that clear space for energy to
Speaker:flow freely when you allow things to just collect. It's
Speaker:this like stuck energy, that it just gets stagnant, and it's not
Speaker:creative. It's not bringing in the right, you know, feelings
Speaker:and flow into your life. And a practice that I have implemented
Speaker:as of late is in the mornings, I spend five minutes five to 10
Speaker:minutes, that is all and I will clear out one other little
Speaker:corner of my house, whether it's just, you know, one drawer, one
Speaker:shelf, one box, one little area, and I will just clear it out. So
Speaker:it's not overwhelming. So it's not like I'm trying to do
Speaker:everything at the same time.
Speaker:But I'm cleaning it out, I'm
Speaker:getting rid of it. And, you know, I believe that our
Speaker:physical reality is a complete reflection of our internal
Speaker:reality. So how we keep our home, how we keep our spaces, is
Speaker:a reflection of, of our inside of our minds. And not only is it
Speaker:important to create this physical space, and clear out
Speaker:old things pick up the dirt, but it's also very important
Speaker:to
Speaker:clear out that mental space to clear out those old thoughts
Speaker:that are no longer serving you those thoughts that don't bring
Speaker:you joy, those programs that maybe served you at one point in
Speaker:your life, but the season, the chapter, the book that you are
Speaker:currently on in your life is no longer serving you. And so
Speaker:that's a practice that I have now put into my morning, I
Speaker:create space, both mentally and physically, I do five to 10
Speaker:minutes of clearing just a small section, creating space in my
Speaker:physical reality. And then I do my meditations and my intention
Speaker:setting and my journaling is to, to dive into my belief systems
Speaker:and those programs that are running in my head, those deep
Speaker:closets that those junk drawers of your brain where you just
Speaker:kind of throw all your junk and then you just shut it and you
Speaker:think that you forget about it, but you know that it's there,
Speaker:right? So
Speaker:it's,
Speaker:it's so powerful, it's so powerful to just create that
Speaker:space, you know, the saying, when one door closes, another
Speaker:one opens? Well, it's very cliche, it's, you know, maybe
Speaker:overused, but
Speaker:it's, it's
Speaker:true, it's there for a reason. It is the reason why people say
Speaker:that is because when you allow yourself the space when you shut
Speaker:off one area when you take a step back from something that's
Speaker:no longer serving you you're giving yourself and the universe
Speaker:permission to bring in new things to bring in new energy
Speaker:until your life you're getting rid of that old pent up
Speaker:space.
Speaker:Now, the other thing with creating space as a creative as
Speaker:a visionary, as a business owner as a solopreneur a solopreneur.
Speaker:Anyone who is trying to be creative and download new ideas
Speaker:how you know whether you're writing a book, starting a
Speaker:podcast, creating a course coaching, just trying to be more
Speaker:present online, create content, whatever it is, you need to
Speaker:create space for yourself to be creative. And in this day and
Speaker:age, it can be really hard because there's so many
Speaker:distractions going on that we never give ourselves any mental
Speaker:space. There's the social media and all of the notifications
Speaker:happening on our phone on a constant basis. And just so much
Speaker:noise that technology has brought to us. And technology is
Speaker:amazing. I love technology, it gives me the power to
Speaker:communicate with you right now, it gives me the power to have
Speaker:friends all over the entire world like this podcast, they
Speaker:have listeners, all across the United States, I have listeners
Speaker:in Canada, Australia, like, it's just, it's Singapore, like, it's
Speaker:crazy. I love technology, it's so powerful, but we have allowed
Speaker:it to overrun our brains a lot of the time, and especially as
Speaker:business owners, because building our business, like you
Speaker:have to be present online to build your business. So you end
Speaker:up spending so much of your time, with all of these
Speaker:different distractions happening in your life, and we never give
Speaker:ourselves the space to actually think and the space to be
Speaker:ourselves, the space to actually be bored.
Speaker:One of my
Speaker:favorite, favorite favorite things, is to be bored. I
Speaker:absolutely love it.
Speaker:Why because all
Speaker:your best ideas are going to come when you're bored, when you
Speaker:don't have things going on all of these distractions. So when
Speaker:you're creating space, there's, I mean, there's so many levels.
Speaker:So so so so many levels to creating space, we already
Speaker:talked about, you know, creating that physical space by
Speaker:physically cleaning out old things, and physically getting
Speaker:rid of, you know, things that no longer bring you joy, things
Speaker:that are just sitting around and collecting pent up energy, we
Speaker:talked about creating the mental space by going through the junk
Speaker:drawers of your brain and clearing them out, bringing to
Speaker:light those programs, those old ideas and beliefs that have
Speaker:been, you know, running in the background that you just tried
Speaker:to compartmentalize and shove away, but it's still there. So
Speaker:we talked about that. But the other part of this is giving
Speaker:yourself the space to create. So that's where this boredom comes
Speaker:in, you have to give yourself that time, you have to give your
Speaker:brain space to think you have to give your brain space to become
Speaker:bored, so that it can come up with its creative genius. So you
Speaker:can come up with brilliant ideas. So you can download
Speaker:source of knowledge. So you can,
Speaker:you know, just
Speaker:think of new things and not just be constantly bombarded with the
Speaker:noise of the world with the noise of social media with the
Speaker:pressure of the notifications with the having to respond to
Speaker:everyone, all of the time. We're getting all of these different
Speaker:messages from all of these different sources. And so then,
Speaker:like how do we even know what thoughts are coming from us what
Speaker:thoughts are just replaying from things that we've seen. And
Speaker:that's where this next tip is going to tie in.
Speaker:I have
Speaker:a habit that I have implemented in my life that has completely
Speaker:changed everything. I mean, literally everything is giving
Speaker:myself space to be bored. How do I do that? Well, my phone goes
Speaker:off at a certain time at night, all the technology gets put away
Speaker:all of those distractions, all of those notifications, they get
Speaker:shot off they get put into a certain place
Speaker:and and
Speaker:that's it and then I stay up I I probably go to sleep around 10
Speaker:or 11 at night. These days, I only have to sleep about five
Speaker:hours to actually feel fully energized. And I think that part
Speaker:of this is because I now put away technology and all those
Speaker:notifications and that blue light I put it away several
Speaker:hours before I go to bed so I'm able to get a much more deep
Speaker:sleep. And I'm waking up way more energized now than I ever
Speaker:did back then when I would sleep 810 hours and The other thing
Speaker:that is happening is during this hour to two hours, is my brain
Speaker:is on fire. It's just every all of these things are just popping
Speaker:off left and right ideas content flowing through me.
Speaker:Why? Because
Speaker:I gave myself the space for that to happen. Okay, now, the next
Speaker:tip that I have on creating space is another physical tip.
Speaker:So this is one that is a tangible physical tip here. And
Speaker:that is to create a blank space in your room, I would suggest
Speaker:your room, you can do it wherever you want, really. But
Speaker:if it's at nighttime, like I would suggest your room, and
Speaker:that's what I do anyways, he blinks space, that's literally
Speaker:just a blank space. So for me, that is a whiteboard, it is a
Speaker:big whiteboard that I have in my room that is blank, I keep it
Speaker:blank. The reason being is on a subconscious level, our brains
Speaker:don't like whitespace, they don't like blank things,
Speaker:especially if it's something that is typically filled up such
Speaker:as a whiteboard, like, who just has a blank whiteboard all the
Speaker:time you write stuff on whiteboards, right? And our
Speaker:brain.
Speaker:It
Speaker:it's a sub on a subconscious level wants to fill up that
Speaker:white space. It's very similar to how our brains don't
Speaker:like unanswered questions. So when you read a question, your
Speaker:brain is automatically already looking for the answer for it.
Speaker:And that's just one of the ways that it operates. That is the
Speaker:same as space, empty space. So having that empty space in your
Speaker:bro, no technology, you're giving yourself a physical
Speaker:space, and you're giving yourself a mental space to
Speaker:create and to step into your genius, and to receive creative,
Speaker:intuitive downloads. And I'm telling you, if you do those
Speaker:simple things, if you just do those two simple things, put
Speaker:away all technology an hour before bed, and create yourself
Speaker:a blank space in your sacred place. Whether that be your
Speaker:bedroom, I like the bedroom, because at nighttime, I'm always
Speaker:getting ready for bed, putting away clothes like doing that
Speaker:kind of thing. So it's like right there and I have to see it
Speaker:while I'm doing it. Like that's the only thing you want to be
Speaker:able to see it, put it in a place that's visible, where
Speaker:you're going to constantly see it and your brain is just going
Speaker:to start filling it. Now once you fill your whiteboard, you
Speaker:take a picture of your whiteboard, and you race it, and
Speaker:then it just will keep coming because again, it's space, it's
Speaker:empty space, you are having to fill it again, your brain is
Speaker:going flowing, it is going to want to fill up that empty
Speaker:space. And seriously, since I've started doing this, like
Speaker:everything has been flowing, the ideas just keep coming. I am not
Speaker:I'm writing two books like I'm running, you know, several
Speaker:businesses I'm have this podcast and in the works launching a
Speaker:another podcast that is solely going to be focused on
Speaker:marketing, because my my agency is a digital marketing agency
Speaker:and I constantly have people coming to me, asking questions
Speaker:are very specific to the digital marketing realm, that are not
Speaker:people who would care at all about the content that I post on
Speaker:here, the spiritual stuff, definitely more of that, you
Speaker:know,
Speaker:hustle, hustle,
Speaker:energy, male energy, male centered energy. So that podcast
Speaker:is going to have a totally different feel. But all of these
Speaker:things have come to me. All of these ideas have flown to me
Speaker:with ease, since I have created the ritual of creating space for
Speaker:myself. And I think
Speaker:that scratch that.
Speaker:I know, I know that if you implement just those two, I
Speaker:mean, the other two that I started with are going to help
Speaker:you as well. But even if you don't do those at all, if you
Speaker:just put the blank whiteboard in your room, turn off all the
Speaker:technology turn off all the distractions an hour before
Speaker:that, you're going to surprise yourself, you're going to
Speaker:surprise yourself with the things that you think of the
Speaker:ideas that you have. And I guarantee that
Speaker:your million dollar idea
Speaker:that you've been waiting for that you've been searching for
Speaker:probably searching for online training. Find through
Speaker:inspiration to other people online, through social media
Speaker:feeds through the content people are writing, you're trying to
Speaker:get inspired by them, you're trying to spark new thoughts and
Speaker:new ideas. That's all great to a certain extent.
Speaker:But for you to get your million dollar idea
Speaker:for you to create that life, you want for you to truly step into
Speaker:your purpose for you to truly become the person that you're
Speaker:supposed to be that needs to come from you. And how is it
Speaker:going to come from you, if you're constantly being
Speaker:bombarded with other people and other people's opinions? I want
Speaker:you to think about that. And with that, I'm going to close
Speaker:this episode. Because I really don't want to dilute the message
Speaker:here. And I want this to be something that you take action
Speaker:on, I want you to make this sacred time for yourself.
Speaker:If you're a business owner,
Speaker:your entire business is going to transform. If you're a wannabe
Speaker:business owner, that business idea is going to come to if
Speaker:you're just working for another person, if you are an
Speaker:intrapreneur, if you are working in a organization, this is still
Speaker:going to help you because you're going to get more ideas, which
Speaker:is going to make you more valuable to that company, which
Speaker:is going to bring you more abundance, which is going to
Speaker:bring you more money. Or maybe you're working for another
Speaker:company right now. And you've been wanting to start your own
Speaker:business but you're just can't figure out what it is you just
Speaker:don't
Speaker:know.
Speaker:This is going to help you find it. This is magic. It's
Speaker:real life
Speaker:magic.
Speaker:It is a tangible thing that you can do for yourself, to step
Speaker:into your power to become the person that you're supposed to
Speaker:be to channel your inner genius and to just allow yourself the
Speaker:space to think the space to be bored the space to create.
