“When the boundaries between work and life totally went away, I think we were all forced to reconstruct them.” – Kate Torgersen
Kate Torgersen had a demanding job that required her to travel consistently. This created a nightmare scenario as a nursing mother on the road. Unable to find a solution to get her breastmilk home to her infants, she created one instead.
This week on Rock Your Joy, Kate Torgersen joined Aine to discuss her company, Milk Stork, a courier service for working women that gets their breastmilk home on demand. She talked about how women are communicating their worth and have helped get employers to offer Milk Stork as a benefit. She also discussed why she had a reckoning with her stress levels. Take a listen!
