Signs in the Heavens – Tom Donnan pt 1
There is something going on right – and actually has been accelerating for the past 60 years or so, that the Bible says will usher in what is referred to as “The End Times.”
That is the fascination with space. With the study of the stars, planets, moons, asteroids, comets, etc.
Even back in ancient days, people were tracking the movement of the planets and star constellations. That is how the wise men discerned that a new king had been born among the Jews. They were watching the heavens and seen His sign.
The bible is full of scripture references about signs in the Heavens. From Genesis to Revelation. But, for the sake of time, I’m only going to quote one here today.
"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (Luke 21:25-26)
Now, to open this discussion on signs of the Heavens and more, is our good friend Tom Donnan. Tom is back today to discuss things going on recently in mankinds quest to understand the stars, the moon, etc.

Ok, let’s start with this one. We will talk about the Moon. 240,000 miles, give or take, from earth. We first went to the moon 51 years ago. That fulfilled President Kennedy’s goal of “landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.” But, even after the Apollo space program ended, we never really finished with the exploration of the moon. I think I seen somewhere there are, at this time, something like 18 different nations trying to return to the moon. Have you seen anything about that?

But WHY would they want to go back to the moon? Isn’t just a void, desolate place?

I have seen recently that SpaceX is trying to commercialize space travel. They are working on cutting the costs of space travel down enough where private citizens will be able to go into space, at least on a short trip, right?
All that is good, for the moon. But we are also looking farther out, past the moon. We even landed a spacecraft ON an asteroid, right?

A satellite surveyed the asteroid first, before entering into its orbit. Smallest body ever to be orbited by a spacecraft.
It was looking for the best place to land and take a sample.

Normally, Florida or the southeastern area of the United States is the area dealing with these hurricanes. But Florida has, basically, escaped natures wrath this year. Right?

Then, to top all of that off, we are now seeing another surge in the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been a weird year all around. Businesses are being shut down again after finally being allowed to open. In some places, here in Maryland as well, they are rolling back occupancy rates from 75% to 25% in restaurants, businesses and even churches.
