We turned a to-do list into a bingo card... a 5x5 “single life” bingo that makes adulting and being single feel weirdly fun and actually doable. I walk you through why this isn’t about perfection but momentum: fill any square in any order, celebrate small wins, and stop rewriting the same miserable list every night. I give tons of square ideas... everything from “ignored bad dating advice” and “took a break from dating apps” to “bought myself flowers,” “made myself laugh” (my personal favorite), and a free center of “my life is not on hold.” You can make yours productivity-focused (because running a one-person household is a full-time job) or purely single-joy themed, with dating-app mini-challenges, anti-cliché reminders, and social-confidence moves like starting a convo or going to an event solo. I even tell you to send me your card so I can feature it, steal your best ideas, and maybe send you a little something for joining the bingo fun. Bottom line: this card is a playful way to remind ourselves that our lives are happening now... relationships are a bonus, not a deadline. And yes, we’re right on time.

We turned the blah of to-do lists into something actually fun: a single-person bingo card you can use for a month. I walk us through making a 5x5 grid (25 squares, free center) and give a whole buffet of prompts you can drop into the squares... everything from “ignored bad dating advice” and “took a break from dating apps” to “bought myself flowers” and “did something future-me will thank me for.” The idea isn’t perfection; it’s momentum. I riff a bit on ADHD brains (and on being human in general), so instead of rewriting your list every dang day you celebrate wins as you fill squares in any order. I even suggest turning it into a productivity card if you live alone and need accountability for chores, bills, or creative work. Practical examples: put “made plans for myself,” “ordered what I actually wanted,” “went somewhere alone,” and “didn’t doom-scroll before bed” into your grid. I also invite you to share your card... I’ll feature favorites and swap ideas. And remind us that progress beats pressure every time.
Takeaways:
What if we turned a to do list into a bingo card?
Hi, welcome.
Or welcome back if you're.
If you've been around.
I'm your host, Wioleta, and this is all about single.
All about being single.
I can't talk today.
Clearly that's how this day is going to get going.
Just kidding.
It's going to be a good day.
Anyhow, it is Tuesday, which is my favorite day of the week.
And no, it's not.
Tuesdays are my least favorite days of day of the week, which was actually why I picked Tuesdays to for my podcast episodes to come out, because it is my least favorite day of the week.
I just feel like I work a Monday through Friday.
I work a Monday through Friday schedule.
So Mondays, I'm like, I know everybody hates Mondays, but I actually like Mondays because it's like, okay, I had two days of like unstructured stuff.
Well, I'm still pretty structured because I do so many things, but for the most part it's unstructured as far as work.
And then Monday, it's okay, let's get back to work.
So Mondays are fine.
And then Tuesdays, it's like, well, there's still like basically all of the week left.
So Tuesdays are my least favorite, which is why I think that extra entertainment and extra things to lift me up or extra things to help validate me, such as, like what I try to do with my podcast.
I like those coming out on Tuesdays.
So anyhow, talking about to do lists.
I want to talk about kind of a to do list, but also just like a single people to do list today.
So recently I came across something called like, I don't know if it's called this, but it's like an ADHD productivity bingo.
So what they do is instead of like a trip traditional to do list where you have to complete everything that you just write down on a list, you put a bunch of small tasks into or big tasks into a big, into a bingo card, you know, and you just kind of go off each square and it makes it more fun.
And you know, for those of us who do have some adhd.
Adhd, like brains, whatever you want to call it.
I mean, I think it's just being human and it's just your version of being human and a lot of just trauma related, but anyhow, just your version of being human.
Okay?
Because we're all human.
And I'm so over all these stupid fucking labels.
The goal really isn't even perfection here.
It's just kind of momentum.
So like you can complete the squares in any order and celebrate progress instead of focusing on what you didn't get done or you know, leaving those things that you didn't get done still on the list.
Instead of like looking at your list and then having to rewrite it for the following day.
It's just kind of like one big list.
So it got me thinking and I figured we could actually do like a little fun slash, maybe not even fun whatever, but just like a bingo card just for single people.
So not like a dating bingo card, not like a relationship find a relationship being bingo card, just more of like a life bingo card.
So as a way to either keep ourselves accountable to doing things, so you could make yours with actual things that you got to do throughout the month.
Cuz we're going to talk about a month one so.
So like a 25 square one today.
And again, we don't have built in accountability partners, you know, people that we're dating.
So it is much harder to find like the motivation, the time, the energy to do all the things we gotta do.
So maybe like a bingo card might make it more fun or and this is the one I'm gonna talk about during this episodemake a bingo card as kind of a way to remind ourselves that our lives are happening right now, not after we meet someone and just kind of remind us of the silliness of this world and the things that people say to us.
They're stupid fucking things unless they've been single and they know what it's like to be single.
Or just things we maybe deserve to tell ourselves and remind ourselves throughout the month, whatever the case might be.
But.
So I just figured this would be like a fun little task.
So this is really.
So the whole we, the whole episode is going to talk about some things we can put on this bingo card.
So again we'll have 25 squares with one being the free one.
So that brings us down really to 24.
To 20.
I cannot talk today to 24 that we fill in.
But anyhow, you can make yours about again, like I mentioned, just productivity as a single person.
Since we know getting things done as just one person in a household is a lot and motivating yourself by yourself is a lot.
Or again, you can make it about just being single.
Or again, kind of comical.
Before I give you some ideas, I'm going to give you a bunch of ideas that you can put on this bingo card.
But before I do that, feel free to send me your bingo card.
I would love to feature it either on my one of my websites.
So either all about being single.com or on single on social.com or you know, we can talk about yours.
If you send me yours, I can at least talk about it on a future episode because I love to have another bingo episode.
Anyhow, if you want to do that, email me at all about being single gmail.com or I mean send me, you know, send me a message on any of my Instagram accounts and they're all linked if you're listening on Apple or Spotify on any of the podcast platforms.
So here we are.
Let's talk about some things you can put on yours.
Okay, ignore bait.
I really cannot talk.
This is a.
This is going to be an interesting day.
Okay, so one is ignored bad dating advice.
Another could be romanticized my life today.
Another could be took a break from dating apps today.
Another or this month.
Or went somewhere alone or did something just for fun or did something just for me or sent the text first or did something brave or planned a future trip or maybe even bought myself flowers or snack or coffee.
Your free space could be my life is not on hold.
Another one could be tried something new or maybe even celebrated a small win or didn't compare myself to a couple today.
Or enjoyed my own company today or made plans for myself or tried a new place.
Another one could be said no without guilt.
Another one could be made myself laugh and that one's my favorite one.
That one's definitely going on my bingo card or reached out to a friend or went to bed without doom scrolling.
Another one could be ignored relationship advice from someone who settled.
Another one could be didn't wait for someone else to make plans.
Another one could be ordered what I actually wanted.
Another could be said yes to something fun that I normally wouldn't say yes to.
Another one.
And I think this is another good one that could just be let myself enjoy being where I am today.
Or a silly one could be didn't stalk a crash online or took a walk without a destination.
Or maybe left the house even though I didn't feel like it because I didn't want to see all those couples.
Or maybe did something that future me will appreciate.
Or maybe talk to a stranger.
Or maybe just remember that peace is underrated.
Or maybe didn't take mixed signals personally.
Or maybe remembered that a relationship is a bonus, not a must.
Since I'm having a hard time speaking today, let's go ahead and take a little dance break.
So I'm gonna dance for about 30 seconds.
Sometimes I give you guys like a little self thought reflection?
Not today.
Just dance with me or just enjoy the music and then we'll come back and resume the episode.
Sam okay, I'll give you a few more so maybe some dating app themed ones opened a dating app and closed it a minute later or didn't swipe while watching TV or unmatch someone who was wasting my time or maybe things we do but won't admit so this you could put a Imagine the whole future with someone I barely know or rehearse the conversation that never happened or looked up flights somewhere random or considered moving to another city or laughed at myself for overthinking.
Here's some anti cliche Ignored pressure to have a five year relationship plan or remembered happiness isn't reserved for couples social confidence squares so you could pick one from here or again make your own Started a conversation first or ask someone a follow up question or simply just made eye contact and smiled at somebody I found attractive or went to an event without knowing anyone I know scary or maybe even introduced myself before someone introduced me.
And then the last few I'm going to give you Took myself on a date or wore something that made me feel confident or tried a new place by myself or did something spontaneous by myself or took a picture because I wanted the memory or even ask somebody for a picture actually.
But yeah.
So I just gave you some examples of like what you could put on here.
So like your glow up for this week and you know it's my favorite part of every episode.
My glow up for this week is just create your bingo card.
There's plenty of like free bingo card makers online so just find one of those and just create a bingo card for with you know, five by five squares.
So 25 squares total.
Make a free one in the middle.
Middle.
And then since it's the end of September, you could maybe start working on it sometime in October.
And again if you need one that's more like productivity based because again it is very hard for us to get stuff done.
Maybe make one that's productivity based and then just work on it.
And if you do send in any of these again at all about being single gmail.com I will send you something for sending me one.
So I would love, I would love to get you guys to do this and I would love to see what you guys put on your bingo cards because I'm sure I'm probably going to be able to steal some ideas from yours too.
Thanks so much for listening.
I always want you to remember that even if we're late, we're right on time.
We are living the lives that we're living right now.
And I hope that you're enjoying your time.
Some days are better.
Some days are better than others.
I mean, again, today, clearly, I can barely speak.
But that's okay.
It is what it is.
I will talk to you next Tuesday, Sam.
