Your power isn’t found. You own it.

In today’s tea time sesh, Amanda sits down with JJ, founder of The MVMNT Lab, a Pilates and wellness studio in Kissimmee, Florida, to talk about daring to be yourself, choosing yourself as an entrepreneur, and building a community that lifts everyone up.

JJ gets real about the highs, the lows, and the moments of imposter syndrome that come with starting something new—and how trusting the process is part of stepping into your power. They break down why movement is medicine, how Pilates supports your mind, body, and confidence, and why community is one of the most underrated tools for healing.

This episode is your wake-up call to stop shrinking, stop waiting for permission, and start reconnecting with your body, your voice, and your power.

JJ and Amanda also give a sneak peek of the Dare To Move wellness event on Saturday, April 25—a space to break up with the past, fall in love with your future, and step fully into your iconic self through movement, affirmations, and intentional journaling.

:

44

:

Are you ready for your tee time sesh?

45

:

Because it's starting now.

46

:

Jj, it's been a long time coming.

47

:

Welcome to Dare to Be Iconic.

48

:

How are you doing girl?

49

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Doing so good.

50

:

Thank you so much for having me on here.

51

:

I'm just like so excited

to get talking and

52

:

Amanda Paolicelli: do Oh my God.

53

:

Of course.

54

:

Us spilling the tea is something that the

radiant icons I know cannot wait to hear

55

:

about because we have so much to spill.

56

:

But before we get into all

that iconicness, we do have to

57

:

go over some DTBI essentials.

58

:

Which basically is what does dare to

be iconic mean to you, and how do you

59

:

dare to be iconic in your everyday life?

60

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Dare to be

Iconic like that statement right there

61

:

I think is something that everybody can

speak to it differently and it can really

62

:

be something different for everyone.

63

:

And I think to me it means to

like dare to just be yourself.

64

:

Like don't be afraid of that.

65

:

Like really like find who

you are and be proud of it.

66

:

Don't feel any shame towards

the way that you feel.

67

:

The way that you feel is

valid and all of that.

68

:

And I think that that is probably what

dare to be iconic means 'cause every one

69

:

of us is an icon and in our own right.

70

:

And I think we all just

wanna lean into that.

71

:

I think nobody should feel like they

have to reach a certain status to

72

:

be what they can consider an icon.

73

:

You are an icon in your own life.

74

:

And I think that's kind of what

I like to live by with that like

75

:

dare to be iconic every day.

76

:

It's like really just waking

up and just choosing to be me

77

:

and not be afraid of who I am.

78

:

And, um, it's way easier said than done.

79

:

Mm-hmm.

80

:

Amanda Paolicelli:

Retweet girl, preach it.

81

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Uh, not for me

today, but just knowing that that's also

82

:

part of your journey and that it's okay

to feel that way and then you just kick

83

:

it into gear the next day and keep going.

84

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

85

:

And what I love the most about what you

said in your dare to be iconic definition,

86

:

is that part of choosing yourself.

87

:

I am such a big advocate for the Choose

yourself journey, like point blank period.

88

:

'cause I think when you lean

into the magic of daring to be

89

:

yourself, that is when everything

else in your life follows suit.

90

:

Right?

91

:

Yeah.

92

:

And when it comes to that act of choosing

yourself, I specifically think about both

93

:

of us on our entrepreneurial journeys.

94

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

95

:

Amanda Paolicelli: And for the radiant

icons that may not know about your

96

:

business, the movement lab, can you bring

us back to that moment where you decided

97

:

to choose you and create the MVMNT Lab?

98

:

What is the Movement Lab?

99

:

What inspired you to go on this journey

and basically dare to be yourself

100

:

while you are building a business?

101

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah, so

for the Movement Lab, like for anybody

102

:

that doesn't know we are a Matt Pilates

studio located in downtown Kissimmee.

103

:

Um, but like that's just on paper.

104

:

That's what we are.

105

:

But I really do feel that the Movement Lab

is a community of people that just wanna

106

:

promote wealth, health, wellness, fitness,

like we kind of have like this, like

107

:

ongoing saying that if you have a body.

108

:

Like the Movement lab is for you?

109

:

Like it doesn't matter.

110

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Yes.

111

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: What

you look like, where you come from.

112

:

Like we are just like, we wanna be that

welcoming community in the Pilates space

113

:

or just in the wellness space in general.

114

:

Mm-hmm.

115

:

Um, but what kind of like, that moment

in time that I thought of creating

116

:

something like the Movement Lab was

honestly just kind of like, was a.

117

:

Kinda just like a flow of things that

kind of just started sparking this idea.

118

:

So for those who don't know,

I also own a dance studio.

119

:

That's like what I've been doing.

120

:

That's, I've been a dancer

my whole entire life.

121

:

And I am in school right now to get

my doctorate in physical therapy.

122

:

So I've always wanted to tie my

like, love for health and wellness

123

:

with physical therapy into dance.

124

:

Yeah.

125

:

And then I love going to the gym.

126

:

But it was like one of those things

where I was like, I just don't

127

:

feel connected to it like that.

128

:

Like I don't feel connected

to it the way I do with dance.

129

:

So then I found Pilates, started doing

Pilates classes, fell in love with it,

130

:

realized how beneficial it is, not just

as a workout like for rehab from the

131

:

physical therapy mind that I'm having.

132

:

Like just like the, the benefit

of it for your body and the fact

133

:

that literally anybody can do it.

134

:

And then being a dancer, like.

135

:

If there's any dancers out

there, you know, the dancer

136

:

to Pilates pipeline is like,

137

:

Amanda Paolicelli: it's huge.

138

:

It's like literally insane.

139

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

140

:

Kind of fell into that pipeline.

141

:

Right?

142

:

But then already being like an

entrepreneur in that aspect of

143

:

like having a dance studio and

wanting to promote wellness.

144

:

I just thought, well, I looked around

and I would always drive out of

145

:

Kissimmee into any neighboring city, any

neighboring neighborhood to go to Pilates.

146

:

And I'm like, well, why don't

we have this here in Kissimmee?

147

:

Like Kissimmee needs this.

148

:

This is something that would be great.

149

:

Exactly for the people around

here 'cause I know so many

150

:

people that want it, but I'm.

151

:

Orlando is 30 minutes away from Orlando.

152

:

Orlando's 45 minutes.

153

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No, literally for

the Radiant icons who are not in central

154

:

Florida, it like Orlando is huge.

155

:

Yeah.

156

:

You have to drive 30 to 45

minutes to get anywhere.

157

:

Point blank and period.

158

:

Okay, so we did need this in Kissimmee.

159

:

Like we literally were talking about

this before we press record on this tea

160

:

time session is how important it is to

have spaces that not only are inclusive.

161

:

But you know, that are also close

in an area that takes you like

162

:

30 to 45 minutes on a good day

to get to what you need to do.

163

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Correct.

164

:

And so with that, I was like, man,

like I've always loved serving the

165

:

community in any way, shape, or form,

rather than like doing community

166

:

events with the dance studio or like.

167

:

Just getting involved with like the

first responders or getting involved

168

:

with like just neighbor, neighborhood

people, like all, all of that.

169

:

Just like giving back to the community.

170

:

And I thought, what better way to give

back to the community than to provide

171

:

something like fitness or wellness

that we need here just in general.

172

:

And so literally the, the idea

of popped into my head and I've

173

:

always loved the name movement.

174

:

That was like something that

I knew I wanted to use in

175

:

some point in time in my life.

176

:

And then the MVMNT lab came

to be, and then here we are.

177

:

Amanda Paolicelli: How long has the

Movement Lab been up and running?

178

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: The idea

of the Movement Lab started with like

179

:

our first couple Pilates classes.

180

:

Yeah.

181

:

In March of last year.

182

:

So it's been a year of like the idea

of it, but the actual like full on

183

:

having classes since June of last year.

184

:

Like it's been less than

a year of like full on.

185

:

Go, go, go.

186

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Girl.

187

:

Oh my God.

188

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

189

:

Yeah.

190

:

Amanda Paolicelli: You're like killing it.

191

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: It's like such

a little baby, but it's growing so fast.

192

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No, you're

like, wow, I had no idea.

193

:

Holy.

194

:

Okay girl.

195

:

That's one period.

196

:

Like that's boss babe shit right there.

197

:

Like period.

198

:

So speaking of you being so early

then in your entrepreneurial

199

:

journey, right, with the MVMNT lab.

200

:

What have been some of the highest

highs and lowest lows, and what have

201

:

those, both of them, the highest highs

and lowest lows taught you on this

202

:

journey as you think about the future

of MVMNT Lab 'cause as you said, it's

203

:

growing at an unprecedented rate.

204

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

205

:

Amanda Paolicelli: So what has

it taught you about yourself as a

206

:

founder, and how has it impacted

your vision for what's to come?

207

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: For sure.

208

:

Um.

209

:

Some like, obviously like people can

say the highest highs are like the sold

210

:

out classes and the that and like, yes.

211

:

Obviously that's a really high, high.

212

:

Like, to be able to say that

I had a sold out event two

213

:

week, uh, not even a week ago.

214

:

It was like last Saturday, we

had an event completely sold out.

215

:

Honestly kind of oversold out like,

and it was amazing to see that.

216

:

But I think another, like really high,

high that we've had at the movement, love

217

:

has been just seeing the community and

hearing the feedback that are in like

218

:

that come into the studio because I have

people that come in and say like, they

219

:

just feel like they're a part of a family.

220

:

Like they're here to work out.

221

:

But they're also here to like

hang out with their friends.

222

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly, yes.

223

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

They come in alone and they

224

:

leave with a friend like that.

225

:

That to me, because that's what I wanted.

226

:

To create, like warms my heart knowing

that like people feel that way.

227

:

People feel like it's a safe space.

228

:

Mm-hmm.

229

:

And then obviously some of like the

lowest lows have definitely been like

230

:

the times where I'm like, I don't

even know if we can keep this going.

231

:

Like there's times where like before

when we first opened up, it was like

232

:

not a lot of people were hearing about

us, uh, we're in downtown Kissimmee,

233

:

which in and of itself like is an older.

234

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Area of Orlando.

235

:

Yeah.

236

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: So because

it's a little bit older, like the setup

237

:

maybe isn't as like ideal, like storefront

wise and like having little hallways and

238

:

alleyways that most businesses are in.

239

:

So it's like foot traffic and just

thinking that, like exposure to

240

:

the community and just feeling

kind of like it wasn't working.

241

:

And then, you know, we have the

people that walk in and find us.

242

:

And all of that, and that's great.

243

:

But I think some of the lowest lows

were like those days where I was like,

244

:

man, like I don't even know if we're

gonna be able to keep this going.

245

:

Like, this was a cool idea

at first, I'm not sure.

246

:

Definitely also kind of taught me

while I'm like instructing and teaching

247

:

and, and creating this, it's like.

248

:

There's moments in times where

like, I'm sure everybody feels it

249

:

kinda like an imposter syndrome.

250

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Mm.

251

:

Don't retweet.

252

:

Yeah.

253

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: And

it's like I'm teaching the class

254

:

and I'm like, I really hope that

these people like the, the, yeah.

255

:

We have like the class.

256

:

I hope people that

really resonate with it.

257

:

I hope people

258

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

259

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: And then I

see people come back, but then I, some see

260

:

some people don't and I'm like, well I've,

I've had, I've had to learn to think like.

261

:

Everyone will have their path.

262

:

Everyone who's meant to be here

will be here and all of that.

263

:

And I think that's maybe one of the

biggest things that I've learned with the

264

:

Movement Lab as a founder of it, is like

trusting that process and like trusting

265

:

those lows because you know that there's

gonna be a high coming next, you know?

266

:

Mm-hmm.

267

:

And I think already having ran the

dance studio and still running that, um.

268

:

The business side of it kind of just

like flowed right into, I'm not gonna

269

:

say I'm a perfect business person,

I'm not, I promise you every day

270

:

I'm making mistakes and everything.

271

:

But like it's,

272

:

Amanda Paolicelli: well

that's so normal though.

273

:

'Cause we're just learning, you know,

like we're all just learning and

274

:

we're just figuring it out as we go.

275

:

There's no one perfect like road

when it comes to building a business.

276

:

Like,

277

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

and I think we in our own head,

278

:

thinking that there is, and so

279

:

Amanda Paolicelli: exactly.

280

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Building

this from the ground up has definitely

281

:

taught me that in a different way

than the dance studio ever did.

282

:

And I think the dance studio, I mean,

backstory on that, it was a family

283

:

business that I ended up taking over.

284

:

So it was almost kinda like

I, I grew up learning it.

285

:

I grew up knowing, like building

this from literally ground zero,

286

:

from like having to create the name

of it and finding movement and being

287

:

like, how am I gonna make this work?

288

:

Googling cool ways to make this like name.

289

:

You know, make sound like a

Pilate studio, but something

290

:

that can also be so much more.

291

:

Um, so then now having, you know, classes

and, uh, that are full, that are full

292

:

and having like a team behind me and

with me teaching and everything, like,

293

:

it's just been, it's been an awesome

experience to see like, the growth of it

294

:

and just lean into those highs and those

lows, because that's what makes us human.

295

:

That's what makes

everything, you know, real.

296

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

297

:

I wanna just piggyback off of real quick.

298

:

One thing you said, which was the phrase

movement and how community and movement,

299

:

it just like kept popping up, right?

300

:

When you were describing the highs and

lows that you've experienced, right.

301

:

In that trusting yourself process

as you were building the Movement

302

:

lab and you tagline for the Movement

Lab is movement is medicine.

303

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Mm-hmm.

304

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Has there been

a time in your classes, right?

305

:

Or your events where you have seen that

phrase, movement is medicine come to

306

:

life, and can you share that with us?

307

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

308

:

There's been so many times where I've

seen that come to life kind of like.

309

:

You know, again, the physical

therapy mind that I have.

310

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

311

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Having,

like, the movement is, medicine

312

:

is one thing that we use as

physical therapists as a tagline.

313

:

We use like, yes.

314

:

Medicine, like motion is lotion.

315

:

Like we use that like as our like

316

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Yeah.

317

:

It's the, like it's the thing.

318

:

Yeah.

319

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Talk to a physical therapist

320

:

and they're gonna say that.

321

:

Um, but knowing that it's so much more

than just that, you know, and I have

322

:

people come in, like, for example, I have

a client that that'll come into class and

323

:

I can tell that she might not be feeling

the best that day or anything like that.

324

:

And after the class, she's

like, man, I really needed that.

325

:

Like I really needed to move my body.

326

:

And just like I let go of all of

like for 45 minutes, I'm letting

327

:

go of all of the stress from work.

328

:

Mm.

329

:

All the stress from home letting

go of all of the negativity

330

:

and like being able to just.

331

:

Move and be present in the moment

and be in tune with my own body.

332

:

Um, and so it's times like that that

I see, like that tagline come to life.

333

:

And even me, like, I'm sure there's

times where I'm showing up to teach

334

:

and I'm like, man, like I really

don't feel like moving my body today.

335

:

But then when I'm done, I

feel like a brand new woman.

336

:

I'm like, man, I love the

fact that I got to do this.

337

:

And it's also like we get to play fun

music and we have fun lights and the

338

:

whole environment of it and the vibe

and the mood of everything really does.

339

:

Like, like just change.

340

:

And I think movement is, medicine is so

much more than just medicine for your

341

:

body, but it's medicine for your mind.

342

:

And I think it's like, yes, probably

just such a, people don't realize

343

:

that Pilates is not, some people

think Pilates is just stretching.

344

:

Yeah.

345

:

In classes.

346

:

Yeah.

347

:

Or Pilates is so much more

than stretching, like.

348

:

Girl.

349

:

I had a guy come in and take class.

350

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Oh, I was

literally just about to ask you.

351

:

Thank God you brought that up,

because I love watching on TikTok.

352

:

The men struggling doing Pilates.

353

:

Like I am a certified man hater.

354

:

I know everyone knows this about me.

355

:

Like when you play man eater in

your class, I have taken J'S class.

356

:

Okay.

357

:

And you can look on my

Instagram and there's a part.

358

:

She plays man eater and she has

me do the damn arm exercises.

359

:

'cause I hate working out

my arms radiant icons.

360

:

I am so weak.

361

:

But every time that song comes

on, I go, yes, I can do this.

362

:

I can fight a man

because I always want to.

363

:

But

364

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: no,

I said that in my class one day.

365

:

Super unhinged.

366

:

We say crazy things here.

367

:

Okay, we

368

:

Amanda Paolicelli: have some, we should.

369

:

It is therapy.

370

:

Okay.

371

:

Like we're literally in therapy when

we are moving our body in Pilates.

372

:

So of course the emotions that we are

feeling deep down that we don't get

373

:

to say every day are gonna come out.

374

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Exactly.

375

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

376

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

And literally I love it.

377

:

I literally, I was talking like that with

a few of like my regulars and they were

378

:

like, jj, every time you play man eater

or breaking dishes, we know your arm burn.

379

:

Yes,

380

:

Amanda Paolicelli: yes, yes.

381

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah, exactly.

382

:

Um, but yeah, I feel like it's like,

you know, that's probably like the

383

:

best thing when it comes to like

the movement is medicine thing and

384

:

girl, going back to the guy thing.

385

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Oh please.

386

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Hey, if you

don't know both Amanda and I love F1.

387

:

Amanda Paolicelli: We love F1.

388

:

We're both Lando Norris' girly.

389

:

So like, Lord, help us all.

390

:

I

391

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: don't

talk about the past few weeks,

392

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I can't.

393

:

No, please.

394

:

We, we need to like,

395

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: we

can do a whole other episode on

396

:

just the stuff happen before.

397

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No, like literally.

398

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Anyway

before Miami, but um, there was a, did

399

:

you see a video of Carlos doing Pilates?

400

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Oh

yes, of course I did.

401

:

Of course I did.

402

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: I think that,

that video, I see it when I close my eyes,

403

:

'cause I've watched it so many times.

404

:

A professional athlete

like that struggling with

405

:

Pilates made me feel so good.

406

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Not the fact

that you can see it in your mind,

407

:

but like point blanking period.

408

:

You know what I need?

409

:

I need Williams.

410

:

I know someone from the Williams

team listens to Dare to be iconic.

411

:

So I need you to listen to me right now.

412

:

I need you to have JJ teach Carlos

and Alex Pilates and then I will

413

:

come and film it for the podcast.

414

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Call us right now.

415

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No, like literally

James, I know you listen to my podcast.

416

:

Okay.

417

:

I know you listen.

418

:

But any who, anyway.

419

:

I love when men struggle with Pilates.

420

:

It is the funniest thing in the

world because they like, they, I

421

:

think they underestimate how much

strength it takes to be moving like

422

:

your, like the pulsing, when you

say pulse, I know I'm going to die.

423

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Mm-hmm.

424

:

Exactly.

425

:

Exactly.

426

:

Half down.

427

:

That's it.

428

:

The worst movement ever.

429

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I hate it.

430

:

And when you're like with the arm one

and you're like, pulse, I said, jj,

431

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: you are like,

why are you making me do this right now?

432

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No.

433

:

Like literally.

434

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

435

:

Lemme tell you, it's not easy folks.

436

:

It's not easy.

437

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No, it's not.

438

:

I dare you to try it.

439

:

Radiant T icons.

440

:

I know you probably have because of

how many times I have said on this very

441

:

podcast do movement that brings you joy.

442

:

And then I mentioned heels

dancing, and Pilates, and I know

443

:

you guys have probably done it.

444

:

So you know, you feel, you feel the pain.

445

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Okay.

446

:

You feel you're in the same boat as us.

447

:

Okay.

448

:

Exactly.

449

:

We're all together.

450

:

Amanda Paolicelli: We're all

suffering together with the pulsing.

451

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Correct?

452

:

Exactly.

453

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Just like we're

suffering with Lando Norris and McLaren.

454

:

This season,

455

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

I stayed up until 1:00 AM.

456

:

Till,

457

:

Amanda Paolicelli: no, a thousand percent.

458

:

I definitely did too, but it was

honestly lowkey kind of boring.

459

:

In my opinion, because like I

already knew Kimi was gonna win.

460

:

I already knew.

461

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: We

all knew that was gonna happen.

462

:

We all knew it was gonna win.

463

:

We all knew Mercedes was gonna take it.

464

:

And then I know.

465

:

Girl, I can't at least

Oscar got a race though.

466

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No.

467

:

I literally was like, at least

we got a McLaren on the podium,

468

:

like, you know what I'm saying?

469

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

And this was Oscar's first race

470

:

of the season, go off King.

471

:

Like

472

:

Amanda Paolicelli: he

literally said, hold my beer.

473

:

I'm starting a race and

I'm gonna finish it.

474

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: I finish

it and he just podiums on top of it.

475

:

We're good.

476

:

Like girl,

477

:

Amanda Paolicelli: thank God, thank God.

478

:

I mean, at least we are hoping for

something good in Miami, you know, like.

479

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

The vibes have to be set right?

480

:

I'm sorry.

481

:

I, I,

482

:

Amanda Paolicelli: no, they

have to because that is

483

:

like the thing about Miami.

484

:

Is that Miami has some of the best vibes

ever, like Point, plague, and period.

485

:

I love Miami because of the activations.

486

:

The activations really

set you up for success.

487

:

So when you're on the track,

you're like, oh, this is a vibe.

488

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Oh my God.

489

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Right?

490

:

Like the, the, you know how we

were just talking about the, the

491

:

mind, body, soul connection, right?

492

:

When we're moving in Pilates, it's

the same thing when you're on the

493

:

track because you gotta move to the

other side, to, you know, everywhere.

494

:

To see those cars, especially

with those campus passes that

495

:

they haven't dropped yet.

496

:

Miami gp.

497

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Hello?

498

:

I have one Miami,

499

:

Amanda Paolicelli: but

Miami has immaculate vibes.

500

:

Yeah, it's always a party.

501

:

Like genuinely.

502

:

Think of a day club on a track.

503

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: You

sold me there, like I'm sold.

504

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I know, I know.

505

:

It's so good.

506

:

It's so good.

507

:

But, but speaking of

immaculate vibes, yeah.

508

:

Like the Miami Grand Prix and our

event, our iconic wellness experience.

509

:

Dare to move.

510

:

We're talking a lot about this.

511

:

Mind, body and soul connection, right?

512

:

And the importance of healing

out loud through movement.

513

:

And our tagline for this event,

is where healing becomes power.

514

:

So in your opinion, jj, what is

the difference between simply

515

:

healing from something and

stepping into your power afterward?

516

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Ooh, such a good question.

517

:

Um, honestly, I think as simple as

it can be, it's like when you take an

518

:

experience that you've gone through

good, bad, or indifferent, and you heal

519

:

from it in whichever way that it needs

to happen, and then you use that to your

520

:

advantage, not only to grow as a person,

but to help inspire other people to

521

:

grow as their own person like healing.

522

:

Then becoming your own power.

523

:

Like really there's something about

finding who you are and that power, even

524

:

if it's like a sliver of who you are.

525

:

'cause we're always finding

ourselves every single day.

526

:

But even if you find that extra little

sliver that one day, there's something

527

:

so powerful about it, especially as.

528

:

Anybody, but especially like when,

for this event, if we're healing

529

:

through movement and like, it's like

women empowerment and all this stuff.

530

:

Yeah.

531

:

Especially like in that space, there's

something so unique about that.

532

:

Something so some vibe that like

you, that's it's, it's intangible.

533

:

Something you really can't hold onto.

534

:

Like Yes.

535

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Feel that,

536

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: you

know, and I really think that healing

537

:

and then growing into your powers

like using that and like you hold

538

:

onto it, you take over that you.

539

:

Take control of that.

540

:

Again, you don't let that power you.

541

:

You take power over that

542

:

Amanda Paolicelli: exactly.

543

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: With it.

544

:

I think that is like probably

the most important thing when

545

:

it comes to like healing.

546

:

And moving into your own power.

547

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

548

:

And like, like you mentioned,

healing in itself is, it's such an

549

:

individualized personal experience, right?

550

:

We are all healing from so many

different things in life, right?

551

:

Like I'm healing from something

completely different than maybe

552

:

you can be healing from, right?

553

:

But we both won't know it, right?

554

:

We, well, we're just

going through it, right?

555

:

Because it is quiet,

it is intimate, and so.

556

:

Why do you think it's so important

for us as young women who are

557

:

business owners that mainly cater to

a female audience, a female community.

558

:

Why do you think it's so important

for us to create experiences or

559

:

spaces where people can heal in

community and why it is so powerful

560

:

as we learn how to own our power?

561

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

562

:

Um, honestly, like.

563

:

Having community is

something so important.

564

:

Like we don't realize how important

it's to just have people by your side.

565

:

Like you said, you might not even

know what other people are going

566

:

through and they might even tell you,

and even then you still might even

567

:

know, not know the full extent of it.

568

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

569

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Having

those people around to know that you're

570

:

not alone in whatever your healing is.

571

:

For example, if you're healing

from a heartbreak or you're healing

572

:

from, you know, maybe something

happened at your job or maybe like.

573

:

I don't know, you lost your favorite

sweater, whatever it might be like,

574

:

whatever's you need to heal from.

575

:

Knowing that you're not alone in

that, because other people can share a

576

:

similar or adjacent experience to that.

577

:

It might not even be that they're

in the same boat as you, but you're

578

:

all on the same journey together.

579

:

And I think having that sense of

community that you have people to lean

580

:

on, you have somebody that you can

talk to, that you can reach out to.

581

:

Everybody has such a

different outlook on life.

582

:

Yes.

583

:

Everyone has a different perspective,

you know, and being able to hear

584

:

other people's perspectives.

585

:

Will only widen your horizons more.

586

:

Amanda Paolicelli: And so speaking of

that community aspect our event Dare

587

:

to Move, which is now live in the show

notes for you to secure your tickets,

588

:

radiant icons, if you are in the central

Florida area, we want to see you there.

589

:

But our event centers

around the words community.

590

:

Right.

591

:

Because it's so vital to healing.

592

:

Mm-hmm.

593

:

It centers around movement

obviously, and confidence.

594

:

Yeah.

595

:

From your perspective, how do these

three elements work together to

596

:

help someone reconnect with their

power as they're healing out loud?

597

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: I think

they connect more than people think.

598

:

You know, community moving, like

healing, confidence, things like that.

599

:

Like just.

600

:

Especially when you show up to an event.

601

:

Let's just say you show

up alone like any of you.

602

:

radiant icons show up by yourself, right?

603

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Mm-hmm.

604

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: I promise

you that you're gonna feel this

605

:

sense of community and all being

in the same boat together, like we

606

:

were talking about with the pulses.

607

:

You're going to feel the pulse,

you're going to feel the the burn.

608

:

Amanda Paolicelli: We're

all gonna struggle together.

609

:

We're

610

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: all struggling

together, and we're all feeling the

611

:

burn and the pulse together, and feeling

that and being in the same boat with.

612

:

You, even these new people that

you don't know, like you will

613

:

walk away with a friend, you

will walk away with someone new.

614

:

You will walk away following somebody

extra on, on Instagram and tagging

615

:

them in your story like and having

that confidence to even just say hi to

616

:

somebody that you don't know because

617

:

Amanda Paolicelli: or

even come to the event.

618

:

I think that's a big thing too, is like.

619

:

A lot of times we feel scared to

go outside of our comfort zone

620

:

and go to an event by ourselves.

621

:

But honestly, I think that's like the

best thing you can do for yourself.

622

:

Yeah.

623

:

Is force yourself to go

to an event by yourself.

624

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

625

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Because

you're gonna make friends.

626

:

You are,

627

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

I promise you, you will.

628

:

And having the, the confidence even show

up and then knowing that you have a sense

629

:

of community there because everybody

there is searching for something similar.

630

:

Some sort of confidence boost,

some sort of healing, some sort

631

:

of something, as well as getting a

really good burden and moving and

632

:

all being in the same boat together.

633

:

I think that's honestly the best

way that we can combine those

634

:

three things into our event that

we have that I'm so excited for.

635

:

Amanda Paolicelli: And speaking of

this experience that we can't wait to

636

:

share with you guys on April 25th at

the MVMNT Lab, what else do you hope

637

:

attendees take from our event and

what are you most excited for too?

638

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: I'm most

excited to see everybody coming together.

639

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Yeah.

640

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

And being able to like, just

641

:

honestly, just meeting new people.

642

:

That's like the scariest

thing in the world.

643

:

Yes.

644

:

Is meeting new people and honestly,

so excited to fear, to feel that

645

:

little sense of like, oof, I

wonder who I'm gonna meet here.

646

:

I wonder like, yeah.

647

:

Like friends.

648

:

We're gonna make, I'm so excited

to just see everybody coming

649

:

out of their comfort zone

650

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Yes.

651

:

To

652

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: this event.

653

:

Showing up, going through the

workshop that I'm so excited

654

:

that you're gonna lead.

655

:

Like I cannot wait.

656

:

Thank you.

657

:

Um, I'm so excited to hear you like.

658

:

Anything that you have to say?

659

:

'cause I just know that you, like,

I literally am so excited you

660

:

Amanda Paolicelli: say it again.

661

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Um, literally I just, yeah.

662

:

I think that the workshop

is gonna be amazing.

663

:

I think that people are gonna be able

to take away so many things from it.

664

:

And I really hope that people

just take away this sense of self.

665

:

I guess, yes.

666

:

Best way that I can say it is like this

sense of not just the healing power, but

667

:

just being able to feel like you walked

away and you learned something new and

668

:

you think that, and you know your worth,

you know, your strength, um, physically,

669

:

mentally, emotionally, all of the above.

670

:

Yes.

671

:

And I feel like that's probably

one thing that you may go into this

672

:

event not knowing that you will walk

out with and you'll walk out with.

673

:

So much more than you

could have ever expected.

674

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Exactly.

675

:

No, we can guarantee you radiant

icons that you will be walking

676

:

away with radiating inner power.

677

:

Yeah.

678

:

Like you will know how to turn

your pain into power and heal

679

:

out loud, I promise you, when you

show up to dare to move, because

680

:

that's where healing becomes power.

681

:

You know, I had to do already

in icons, but any who, that was

682

:

beautiful and I hope everyone takes

away exactly that from our event.

683

:

'cause there's.

684

:

Again, so much power in daring to be

yourself and coming in community and being

685

:

confident in who you are and not letting

anything or anyone define you because

686

:

you are the only person that can define

yourself at the end of the day, you know?

687

:

Amen.

688

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Say that

louder for the people in the back.

689

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Amen.

690

:

So jj, I can't believe our time to

spill the tea is literally almost done.

691

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Oh my gosh.

692

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I know, I know.

693

:

We've had a, we had a

really good tea time sesh.

694

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: You did.

695

:

I we are, we can keep going.

696

:

Amanda Paolicelli: No.

697

:

Like literally, I do have two

little fun things for you.

698

:

Okay.

699

:

Before, before we, we go.

700

:

Okay.

701

:

For a radiant icon who is listening

to this right now and feels

702

:

disconnected to their power.

703

:

What is one small step that

they can take right now to start

704

:

reconnecting with themselves?

705

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: So something

that you can do, like right now, um, I'm

706

:

gonna give two, two tiny little things.

707

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I love it.

708

:

Give it to us.

709

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Is, it

sounds so silly, but literally just

710

:

look at yourself in the mirror and

literally just say out loud, one

711

:

positive affirmation about yourself.

712

:

Just say it to yourself in the mirror

and you are gonna feel so silly

713

:

doing it, but I promise you there's

something about saying it to yourself

714

:

and hearing your own voice say it.

715

:

Mm-hmm.

716

:

Amanda Paolicelli: And seeing it, like

literally connecting to yourself in

717

:

that mirror, making that eye contact.

718

:

Yes.

719

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: One

positive thing about yourself

720

:

or, and or grabbing a journal.

721

:

And writing something

positive about yourself.

722

:

I think what happens is we so

often only harp on the negatives

723

:

that are going on in our lives.

724

:

Yes.

725

:

And the things that we wish we could

change, that we don't sit there

726

:

and actually create a sense of.

727

:

Of, uh, positivity and confidence in

728

:

Amanda Paolicelli: what we

729

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

do have going for ourselves.

730

:

I promise you, you have so many

more strengths than you can imagine.

731

:

Exactly.

732

:

And I think just grabbing a

journal, writing it down, even

733

:

if it's the, the breakup journal.

734

:

DTBI.

735

:

Sorry, excuse me.

736

:

Amanda Paolicelli: Thank you.

737

:

No, I mean, she's right.

738

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah.

739

:

Amanda Paolicelli: You, you can buy

it in the, the link in the show notes.

740

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Thank you.

741

:

Just grabbing a journal, writing in it.

742

:

Find something positive.

743

:

Pinterest or Google a.

744

:

Yes.

745

:

A positive journal prompt if you

don't know what to write, and then,

746

:

Amanda Paolicelli: or even doing like

three things you're grateful for too.

747

:

Yeah, absolutely.

748

:

Like just living in that gratitude Yeah.

749

:

Can help you with that positive

mindset, so you can have that friendly

750

:

outlook of the world and of yourself.

751

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Yeah, that's it.

752

:

Just really just start writing down a

little things that you're grateful for,

753

:

positive affirmations about yourself,

and you will begin to believe it.

754

:

I promise you exactly like it will start.

755

:

There's something so powerful

about pen to paper and saying

756

:

it to yourself in the mirror.

757

:

Just

758

:

Amanda Paolicelli: exactly.

759

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: You're

760

:

Amanda Paolicelli: switching your mind.

761

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab: Yeah, just

you have to, our minds are so powerful.

762

:

Our words hold such power and if we

only talk down and self-deprecate,

763

:

we're never going to believe otherwise.

764

:

And I think that's the first thing.

765

:

Just get out of that head space and

766

:

Amanda Paolicelli: exactly

767

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

said than done.

768

:

But start with that.

769

:

Start with the application in journaling.

770

:

That's what I would say.

771

:

Amanda Paolicelli: I love it.

772

:

It's a good old mindset Switch radiant

icons and you know, we love that here.

773

:

So lastly, jj, this is new.

774

:

I've actually never done this on the

pod before, so I am very excited.

775

:

I would like you to finish this sentence.

776

:

Power begins with,

777

:

JJ, Owner of The MVMNT Lab:

Ooh, I have to say it.

778

:

Power begins with moving for me,

779

:

Amanda Paolicelli: and that's on period.

this was like a no shoe kind of house,

794

:

so he had to take his shoes off.

795

:

They were playing cards, drinking, and

then all of a sudden he starts rubbing his

796

:

foot on my leg and her co-host Jessica.

797

:

So he leaves me at the table, he gets

his food, he goes back to his car.

798

:

I'm thinking he's

dipping out on this date.

799

:

him and I won't let him kill me.
