Love Not the World

Greetings, brethren, and happy Sabbath. Good evening to all those in the United States, the United Kingdom, and those of us down under. 

From a young age, many of us would've been familiar with the story of Joseph and how it all worked out according to God's plan. The purpose of this message is to relate to you some of the lessons that Joseph learned and relate them to us so that we can learn from them ourselves, for our growth, and to know what's in store for us in the future.

Today's subject will be the Armor of God and do we need it? But first, let's go to I John 1:1 because this has to do with fellowship, the fellowship we are enjoying today as part of the body of Christ. And I wanted to look at this because there have been problems in the past with the Fellowship of God. Many of us will remember what happened to the organization that God called us into in the beginning: the worldwide Church of God.

Greetings, everyone from the Southern Hemisphere, on this God’s Sabbath Day.

Today I would like to touch on a very important subject for us. We are living, as we know, in the end times. This subject has to do with the world in which we live. It also concerns what we should do now that Christ has called us out of this world. God the Father and Jesus Christ deal with us as their sons and daughters. How are we walking in this world?

One of God’s servants, the Apostle John, gives very specific instructions, very clear. What does John mean when he says:

1-John 2:15: “Do not love the world… [Is he talking about cleanliness or something else?] …nor the things that are in the world.… [he narrows it down a little, and we need to find out what those things are] …If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

That’s a very important statement!
