What if some of the most important opportunities for discipleship happen in the ordinary moments of everyday family life?
In this special CPE Summer 2026 episode of the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast, host T.S. Wright sits down with author Bitsy Kemper to discuss her book, Mommy and Me Micro-Moments: Nurturing Faith and Sharing Laughs. Bitsy explains how her desire to help mothers recognize the importance of small moments with their children led her to create an interactive devotional designed around connection, laughter, prayer, Scripture, and faith.
Bitsy emphasizes that mothers do not need to add another complicated responsibility to an already busy day. Instead, ordinary activities—tying a child's shoes, putting on a coat, opening a door, or simply making eye contact—can become meaningful opportunities to communicate love and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
T.S. and Bitsy also explore the biblical significance of discipleship beginning in the home. Parents have an opportunity to establish a spiritual foundation while their children are young, preparing them to understand prayer, Scripture, faith, and what it means to follow Jesus.
Bitsy's devotional is intentionally accessible even for parents who may not feel confident praying or teaching Scripture. Each entry provides a Bible verse, interactive conversation, shared prayer, and encouragement for the mother—requiring virtually no preparation beyond showing up and spending a few intentional minutes together.
