Shownotes

Most Uni students dream of working at one of the big four accounting firms – PwC, Deloitte, EY and KPMG. Fraser McConnell is definitely not “most uni students”. Having joined Pricewaterhouse Coopers in the management consulting team – arguably one of the more sought-after divisions – he left after a year to see whether he could live in Wanaka all while saving New Zealand’s native birds. Over 25 million native NZ birds are killed every year by pests.

Through his social entries, Squawk Squad, Kiwis (the people not the birds) can crowdfund pest-traps – pitching in to save the birds we see every day on the back of our dollar bills. In this episode Fraser talks to podcast host, Ed McKnight about everything from life in PwC, right through to quitting and starting this social venture, and his other venture, Upstream Daily.
