The Vision is a prayerfully compiled exploration of David Wilkerson's prophecies about the world and church’s future. While the American church has received very little persecution historically, David foresees a coming time when believers in the US will no longer be immune, and he discusses some of the following signs:

• The church embraces homosexuality and occult practices

• Major media companies and leaders will mock belief in God

• The government will begin to tax churches and Christian organizations

However, David also predicts that the church will rise in Asia and Eastern Europe, and many Christians there will experience freedom from persecution at long last. God’s Word will spread like fire through those nations at the beginning of a new spiritual awakening.
