Shownotes

Student loan debt is a crisis in America. President Biden is expected to decide if he will provide some amount of student loan forgiveness. Many say forgiveness isn't fair, and many others say forgiveness is necessary to close the wealth gap between those with student debt and those without. Regardless of President Biden's decision, the student loan system needs to be fixed immediately. There are many solutions to be discussed, and for once, we need Congress to finally take action.

There is $1.74 Trillion of student loan debt in America. There are 43.4 million student loan borrowers. Since 1980, the cost of college tuition & fees has outgrown inflation by 5 to 1. Homeownership declines as student loan debt increases, and the difference in net worth of homeowners and renters is 40 to 1.
