Speaker:Hello there, Modern Man. What if I tell you this tiny gas
Speaker:molecule that your body make can dictate your ability to get and
Speaker:maintain an erection? Sounds wild, right? But the science is
Speaker:clear, nitric oxide is critical for your erection, and that you
Speaker:if don't have enough of it, it will contribute to ED. I'm Dr
Speaker:Anne Trull. I'm a sexual health specialist. I've treated over
Speaker:7000 men with ED. And in today's episode, we're gonna go over
Speaker:what is nitric oxide, and what does it do, and how you can
Speaker:increase it.
Speaker:So nitric oxide, or NO, is really a colorless, odorless gas
Speaker:composed of one nitrogen and one oxygen. It's actually classified
Speaker:as a free radical due to its unpair electron. However, due to
Speaker:its high reactivity, it can actually be involved in very
Speaker:critical function of the body. So in the human body, it serves
Speaker:as a crucial signaling molecule with wide ranging roles. So
Speaker:number one, it cause open blood vessels or vasodilatation. So it
Speaker:causes you to have more blood flow everywhere, not just down
Speaker:below. So it's essential for cardiovascular health.
Speaker:Number two, it has facilitated communication between nerve and
Speaker:also muscle. So therefore, it's involved in memory and learning.
Speaker:It's also involved in increasing immunity as well, too. It
Speaker:actually improve the immunity cells to respond to pathogen or
Speaker:infection, and also it will help with inflammation. Other things
Speaker:that it can do, it helps with respiratory, digestion and also
Speaker:the kidney, by influencing the smooth muscle function and
Speaker:increasing blood flow to these organs. So when you have low
Speaker:nitric oxide, it can cause conditions such as high blood
Speaker:pressure, inflammation of the blood vessel called endothelial
Speaker:dysfunction, ED, and also cognitive decline or memory
Speaker:loss, and impair wound healing as well.
Speaker:So, and, naturally, your body make nitric oxide. But as you
Speaker:get older, around 40 years old, you make less nitric oxide.
Speaker:Around 40 years old, you make 50% less nitric oxide than you
Speaker:would normally would be. So, you know, said, "Okay, well, I can't
Speaker:do anything about my age," but you can do something to actually
Speaker:increase your nitric oxide. Well, you can start with number
Speaker:one, eating nitrate rich food. So this food, when you eat it,
Speaker:it is nitrate, and in your mouth, and then in your stomach,
Speaker:it will turn into nitric oxide. Well, these foods are leafy
Speaker:greens, such as spinach, arugula, kale, swiss chard,
Speaker:lettuce, bok choy, mustard greens. All my favorite. You can
Speaker:also eat beets and beet root juice. Other vegetables are
Speaker:celery, carrot, radishes, cabbage, broccoi, and parsley.
Speaker:These foods are high in dietary nitrate, so your body can
Speaker:convert it to nitric oxide. And it will also help in lowering
Speaker:your blood pressure, as well too. Other food are garlic. I
Speaker:love garlic. So garlic increased nitric oxide, watermelon,
Speaker:cucumber, nuts and seeds such as sunflower seed, pumpkin seed and
Speaker:almond, all precursors of nitric oxide. This is one of my
Speaker:favorite pomegranate and citrus fruit, and dark chocolate all
Speaker:contains antioxidant and these help protect the nitric oxide
Speaker:production as well. Now lean meat, such as chicken and fish
Speaker:like salmon and mackerel are high in omega-3 fatty acid which
Speaker:will increase nitric oxide synthesis.

Speaker:Now, believe it or not, regular exercise, such as weight
Speaker:training or high intensity interval training called HIIT,
Speaker:can stimulate more nitric oxide. I know, exercise sometimes can
Speaker:be a little hard, but it will increase your nitric oxide, and
Speaker:therefore help with your erection. And the key is
Speaker:consistency. In my last episode, I talked about fluoride
Speaker:mouthwash and fluoride toothpaste and antacid can
Speaker:decrease the nitric oxide. So you want to make sure you don't
Speaker:use those. And you can always take nitric oxide supplement to
Speaker:increase your nitric oxide. Check out the link right here.
Speaker:Other things that you can do is deep breathing, deep breathing
Speaker:that I talk about my other episode, five minutes of deep
Speaker:breathing will actually enhance your nitric oxide production.
Speaker:And another thing that you will love is sunlight exposure. When
Speaker:you're out in the sunlight, it will actually help you release
Speaker:more nitric oxide. And you know that you can measure your nitric
Speaker:oxide? Well, you can measure it by using a strip. These are the
Speaker:strips right here. You just put it top of your tongue like that,
Speaker:and in a few minutes, it comes out. So I did that for today's
Speaker:episode. And guess what? I'm a little bit deficient in nitric
Speaker:oxide, because it's not bright pink. And so if you go to link

Speaker:can actually measure your nitric oxide, you can go to our store

Speaker:before I recorded this session. So the reason why mine is low is
Speaker:that I take antacid for my gastric ulcer, so it's
Speaker:decreasing that, but I will work towards like you. Eating more
Speaker:nitrate-rich food, as well as measuring my nitric oxide
Speaker:content. You do this, you measure about, I would say, once
Speaker:a week, and you will see an improvement in your nitric oxide
Speaker:content. And you can also take this, two capsule every day,
Speaker:nitric oxide, which is made from arugula extract, which is the
Speaker:best, low oxalate content for nitric oxide. Check it out.
