Shownotes

Life in Singapore is really busy. Parents struggle to just find time for themselves, and it is a challenge sometimes to spend dedicated, committed and intentional time with our children, especially as they get older.

As new parents, it is easy and natural to be caught up in the cuteness of our babies, even though we may be sleep deprived or exhausted. But as our child gets older, sometimes the sense of delight can start to dwindle as we have to deal with poor behaviour, tantrums and quarrels.

In this special Children's Day episode, our host Joanna Koh-Hoe chats with Alicia and Ember on their mother-daughter relationship, how Alicia relates with her other children, and how parents can capture the wonder and unique moments of their child's growing years.

Alicia Boo is a working mother and the Principal Counsellor at Focus on the Family Singapore. She is also a speaker and trainer who engages with youth, young adults and parents, equipping and inspiring them for significant living and to build strong families.

Alicia is a mother of 4 children aged 5-11 years old, including a pair of twins. Ember is her second child and she is a dynamic and positive girl who is passionate about sports and loves horses. Ember also enjoys hugs from her parents!
