The new government will be formed by the party Smer with the parties Hlas and SNS. Slovakia has been familiar with the names of the new personnel for a few days now. It was the proposal of Rudolf Huliak as Minister of the Environment that aroused opposition among environmentalists, foresters, and part of the public. More than 40,000 people have already signed the petition against his nomination. Zuzana Čaputová also refused to appoint him as a minister.

The Slovak Republic apologized to former Minister of the Interior and future Minister of Defense Robert Kaliňák for the accusations of founding a criminal group and other acts - disclosure of tax secrets and abuse of authority of a public official. His charges were dropped by the General Prosecutor's Office.

Slovakia is only a small step away from progressing to the European football championships. Two rounds before the end of the qualification for advancing to Euro 2024, Slovakia is in second place. To definitively confirm participation in Germany, one point is needed.
