Hello there, beautiful women. This is podcasting for Spiritual Women, and I am Kim Parkinson, and today it's gonna be a short one. This is a compassionate and loving episode. This is the episode where we're gonna name some fears and shift some energy, and we're just gonna really dive into. How we are feeling about podcasting because this isn't just for people getting started.
This is also for the people that are getting going, that are moving forward. This is about maintaining your authority in your podcast, in your business. just naming some of those fears and kind of getting over that hump, getting over those, those feelings really deep inside of maybe, maybe I'm not the right person to be doing this.
Maybe there's somebody else out there that's better.
So if you are listening and you're feeling the pull to launch, or maybe you're feeling that being dragged down because you're just not sure what you're doing, let's talk about what's holding you back. The most common mindset fears around podcasting is that we don't have anything unique to say. And I did touch on this in the previous episode, so if you haven't listened to that one, I do encourage you to go back and listen to that.
But basically, you have lived a life and you have. Different experiences than everyone around you, the way you were raised, the way you were taught, the way that you have just had your life unfold in front of you for all of these years. Even if you are learning the same thing as the person sitting next to you, your life experiences are going to move that trajectory in a different path than the person sitting next to you, they could be your twin.
And they're still going to have different feelings than you, different thoughts than you, and different ways of saying it than you do. And so the idea that you don't have anything unique to say is actually just a mindset that is not the truth. We can reframe that. Because your wisdom is enough. People are out there and they're waiting for you to deliver your magic, your message to them.
if you're thinking that, no one will listen. You know, maybe you've been on this podcasting journey for a while and you've actually been recording dozens of episodes, and you're saying, I'm talking to crickets. Look at your stats. Look at who is showing up. Those are your ideal people. Those are the ones.
And even if you're saying to yourself, you know what, I am only getting my mom and my sister and uh, my niece to listen. You are making an impact on at least those three people and continue to nail down your message, continue to bring it and birth it forth to the world. And you're going to find that more and more people will follow you because more and more people are waiting for your voice, your wisdom, your knowledge.
Make your voice be powerful and share it. Share it in all the different ways that you can on your thank you pages, in your email signature, on your social media. When you are speaking in front of people, make sure people know you're a podcaster, you are a podcast host, right? All of those, it's an easy, easy way to just start to really nail it down and get in front of people.
Now if your fear is that you don't have the time for it, let me tell you, I am on my fourth episode of the day. even though this is episode three, I, had other things to record too. So this is my fourth episode of the day, and I have only been doing this for a couple hours and.
And I know you're like a couple hours again, fourth episode, couple hours. They are only about 15 minutes long. I edited in between so you can nail it down and. It can be done really simple and really done in your own way. It doesn't need to be full of fluff.
It doesn't need to be full of meditations that take 20 minutes. You can really just nail down who you are, what you're about, and deliver your value in each episode in one topic at a time. Right? Today we're talking about mindset, fears, and reframing those, you could really get four or five episodes out and that's a month's worth of content if you think about it.
and then some of the other people might even say things like, I'm not tech savvy. Use your phone. If that is, if that is what's stopping you sit in your car and use your phone. I would not have the Bluetooth on. But otherwise just get out there.
Just get your voice. I. Out there. That's really all that matters. And here's another like little tip that maybe could also help you if you are like, you know what? I go live in my group every week and I talk about stuff. So why do I need a podcast? Well, you know what, you're only reaching those people that are in your group.
Whereas a podcast. Is global and could reach more people. So take that live, download it, and turn that into your podcast. And those people that have already listened, maybe they'll glean some more information out of it, and or you'll reach more people, right?
And then here's a couple of others. What if I fail or if I sound silly? And you know what? It's okay. You're human, you'll improve. We all improve with practice. No one starts and is perfect right away, right? Even those people that are actors, how many times do you think they say, cut and let's try that again.
You know, I, I've never been an actor, but I'm imagining it's probably a lot, and I'm thinking that this is similar and you don't have to worry about it. Especially the very first couple are really just getting out those kinks. You are really just trying to get it going.
Get that train chugging along, right? I think I can. I think I can. I think I can, I think I can. Anybody remember that? Yeah. Let's you, you know what? Don't think you can just, just do it. You can do it. I know you can do it and you're not gonna sound silly. You're gonna bring value. You're gonna bring truth, you're gonna bring emotion, and you're going to find those right people that are going to just hang on your every word and say, I absolutely adore this person and the wisdom and the knowledge that they are bringing to me.
I'm so happy that they are here for me today. And then the last one that I'm thinking is that maybe you just don't know how to get started, and I do have a resource that I can give you.
