This podcast episode delves into the profound themes of Christmas, emphasizing that the celebration of Jesus' birth is not only a joyous occasion but also a poignant reminder of God's desire to connect with humanity. The host explores the significance of loneliness during the holiday season, highlighting that even amidst crowds, individuals can feel isolated. The message of Emmanuel—God with us—serves as a source of comfort, assuring listeners that they are not alone in their struggles. The episode also reflects on Zechariah's prophecy, which underscores the knowledge of salvation and the importance of forgiveness. Through heartfelt discussions and personal anecdotes, the host encourages listeners to embrace the spirit of Christmas by recognizing the transformative power of God's grace and the gift of connection.
Dr. David Spoon begins the podcast with a lively introduction, inviting listeners to join him on a journey through the heart of Christmas. He reflects on the dual nature of the holiday—one that is marked by joy and celebration, but also by the potential for feelings of loneliness and isolation. This duality is particularly poignant as Dr. Spoon discusses the importance of recognizing the celebratory spirit found in scripture, which serves as the foundation for the Christmas message. He emphasizes that the birth of Jesus is a fulfillment of God's promises, a theme that resonates throughout the biblical narrative and underscores the significance of the season.
Transitioning from celebration to the emotional complexities of Christmas, Dr. Spoon delves into the topic of loneliness, a feeling that can be magnified during the holiday season. He poignantly acknowledges that many individuals experience isolation even when surrounded by others. To address this, Dr. Spoon draws on the example of Jesus, who, during His crucifixion, expressed profound feelings of abandonment. Through this lens, he encourages listeners to seek solace in their faith, reminding them that they are not alone; God desires a relationship with each individual. This core message of connection is reinforced as Dr. Spoon explores the prophetic words of Zechariah, highlighting the importance of preparing the way for the Lord and the transformative power of forgiveness.
The episode concludes with a powerful affirmation of hope, as Dr. Spoon calls on listeners to embrace the peace that comes from knowing they are forgiven. He articulates that this understanding of salvation is central to the Christmas message, which is ultimately about love, hope, and the presence of God in our lives. By weaving together scripture, personal reflection, and heartfelt encouragement, Dr. Spoon crafts a compelling narrative that not only celebrates the birth of Christ but also addresses the emotional struggles many face during the holidays, offering a pathway to peace and connection.
Takeaways:
And now for something completely different.
Host:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
Host:It's wild and wonderful.
Host:What's gonna happen?
Host:We have no idea.
Host:Let's sit back and enjoy the ride.
Host:Can I get a Wowzer Bowser Wednesday because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey.
Host:First, while I do not have an issue with other Bible believing, born again Christians who wrestle with the commercialism of the holiday about Christmas, their concerns are not invalid.
Host:However, their perspective does not negate the celebratory spirit woven throughout Scriptures.
Host:From Genesis to Revelation.
Host:The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is where all the promises of God have major initial fulfillment.
Host:So next we're going to talk about loneliness and Christmas.
Host:Because loneliness is a profound human experience.
Host:Jesus himself expressed this connection on the cross, quoting Psalm 22 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Host:People can feel lonely even in the midst of a crowd.
Host:Jesus understood this and desires us to be free from the weight and pain of loneliness.
Host:He stands ready, waiting for us to turn to him for comfort and connection.
Host:Actually, that is the core of Christmas.
Host:Finally, the song of Zechariah provides rich insights into the message of Christmas itself.
Host:Zechariah foretells the forerunning ministry of his son who precedes Jesus both physically and spiritually.
Host:What he declares about Jesus and his impact on humanity, of course, is profoundly significant.
Host:And since his words point to the gospel, they are indeed good news.
Host:This good news is how the truth about Christ Christmas should be understood and celebrated.
David Spoon:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
David Spoon:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
David Spoon:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
David Spoon:The more he studied the Gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
David Spoon:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
David Spoon:He joined KAAM and this radio program began.
David Spoon:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
Host:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
Host:Local, national and heavenly talk.
Host:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
Host:Lessons for Surviving Living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, and so much more.
Host:Now, before we do anything else, we're just going to verify whether it's professional radio or not.
Host:And I'm going to give our very own Jamming Jacob a unique title he's never had before.
Host:Ladies and gentlemen, for the sergeant Schultz of professional radio.
Host:It's a cute dig for the sergeant Schultz of professional Radio.
Host:Our very own Jam and Jacob.
Host:Jam and Jacob is the David Spoon Experience Professional radio.
Jamming Jacob:No, it is not David.
Host:Okay, I see nothing.
Jamming Jacob:That comes from the sergeant.
Host:I see nothing.
Host:I see nothing.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right.
Host:For those that understand that, you know, you're laughing, don't even try.
Host:All right.
Host:Before we get into the breakdown to get in touch with us, we do have somebody that is on the line.
Host:So we want to give them a chance to reach in and see what's taking place.
Host:And so let's send them on through.
Host:Knock, knock.
Host:This is David.
Host:Who am I talking to?
Sergio:David.
Sergio:Good afternoon, Sergio.
Host:Hello, Sergio, my brother.
Host:How are ya?
Sergio:Good, how are you?
Host:I'm doing good, I'm doing good.
Host:I was glad that Dallas won, but I was pretty upset that Detroit lost.
Host:I want to say that from last week.
Host:All right, my brother, how are things going for you?
Host:What can I do for you?
Host:How can I help you?
Sergio:Well, I just.
Sergio:It was.
Sergio:Well, two things, kind of.
Sergio:Now from that last intro of yours, first thing, I wanted to share with everyone a praise report.
Sergio:I don't think I would have ever done that since I've been calling in.
Sergio:But it's something simple.
Sergio:This morning I went to a government office to go take care of a government issued, I guess, subject.
Sergio:And I didn't think that all.
Sergio:Everything was in order.
Sergio:And lo and behold, everything was in order and everything got taken care of.
Host:Praise the Lord.
Host:That's almost a miracle when you're dealing with a government.
Host:That's awesome.
Sergio:And here's the thing though, Dave, that I actually prayed on it.
Sergio:I actually prayed on it last night and this morning in my devotion, starting the day.
Sergio:And I don't know, I just kind of thought, you know, I'll just pray on it.
Sergio:And next thing you know, it happened and I'm like, wow.
Sergio:I mean, it's actually.
Sergio:I guess this works.
Host:Isn't that cool?
Host:Is that not just an awesome experience?
Host:I am so blessed that you share that.
Host:It's like you.
Host:Sometimes you're going, well, I don't know, this is like way out.
Host:But Lord, man, if you can help me in this and just get me through and so on and so forth, it would just be phenomenal.
Host:And then you have it happen and you're like, you know, it's the Lord because it shouldn't have been that easy.
Host:And you're like going, okay, okay, I'll take it.
Sergio:Yeah, exactly.
Sergio:And sorry to interrupt you.
Sergio:Exactly.
Sergio:And you know, there was also some other like divine intervention moments between the whole experience in there that I won't share because I won't take them, take up too much time.
Sergio:I mean, regarding parking, the parking space, regarding a guy who worked there and said, hey, what are you in here for saying, I'm here.
Sergio:I mean, I'm in here for this.
Sergio:He says, oh, here, let me take you to this line.
Sergio:And so I was like, wow.
Sergio:I mean, everything was like falling in place.
Sergio:And it's something that would have taken like maybe half a day.
Sergio:I only took two hours.
Host:Wow.
Host:I mean, what a blessing, brother.
Host:I'm so glad you shared that.
Host:That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Host:Those things, those gracelets, Sergio, are so important because it reminds you that God is with you in every element of your life.
Host:Everything you're going through, everything you have to deal with, doesn't matter how mundane, doesn't matter what.
Host:God is still with you.
Host:And that's what counts, is that you recognize the Lord was with me in that process.
Host:And what's cool is you recognized that was grace.
Host:That was grace that got me through it.
Host:And it's like.
Sergio:And you know what?
Sergio:And you took the words out of my mouth because as you used the word mundane, I wanted to use the word trivial because I really don't think that this was a life or death thing, but I really do think that grace was part of it.
Host:I love it.
Host:I love it.
Host:That's an excellent, excellent praise report.
Host:Let me just say that to you.
Host:So never hesitate.
Host:Never hesitate, my friend, to participate and share.
Host:That's just a huge blessing.
Host:I mean, really is.
Host:Just great.
Host:Great.
Sergio:Thank you, David.
Sergio:And let me end the call with this, with your last segment or your last segue, speaking with Jamming Jam and Jacob.
Sergio:So I'm gonna put you on the spot, David.
Sergio:And I've been thinking about this, and I'll hang up and listen.
Sergio:Thank you for all you do.
Sergio:But when I hang up and listen, you go ahead and answer.
Sergio:So in your opinion, David, how would you rank these?
Host:How would I rank what?
Sergio:How would you rank the following?
Sergio:Okay, the three.
Sergio:The Three Stooges, Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy.
Sergio:Again, the Three Stooges, Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy.
Host:Okay, great question.
Host:Thank you.
Sergio:Thank you for everything.
Sergio:Thank you.
Sergio:Thank you for everything you do, David, if I don't talk to you again, Merry Christmas.
Sergio:But I might.
Sergio:I might call in again, but thank you for all you do.
Sergio:Thank you for being part of my journey.
Host:You got it, brother.
Host:Love it.
Host:Love you in the Lord, brother.
Host:All right.
Host:Excellent, excellent phone call.
Host:I'm telling you.
Host:Great, great phone call.
Host:Great job.
Host:All right, so first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to answer.
Host:You're going to answer?
Host:Oh, yeah.
Host:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host:I'm going to answer.
Host:Here you go.
Host:Ready?
Host:This is mine.
Host:This does not mean it's the Lord's, because I do not speak for the Lord in this.
Host:Even if the Lord hasn't opinion in this.
Host:I don't even know.
Host:But for me, it's going to be Three Stooges, I Love Lucy, and then Leave it to Beaver.
Host:That's how it's going to be.
Host:Three Stooges cannot be.
Host:I mean, it just cannot.
Host:I sometimes watch some of the older clips, the oldest, oldest clips, because I have, like, clips from the older one you can get online.
Host:And Noel just looks at me like I have lost my mind.
Host:I Love Lucy.
Host:We both like.
Host:Okay.
Host:Leave it to Beaver is just not as quite as, you know, I mean, what's the word I'm looking for?
Host:Ridiculous.
Host:As the other two, Three Stooges.
Host:I'm just gonna say that I'm just, I'm just not even gonna have a problem with that.
Jamming Jacob:So, so I've only seen one of those, so I, I can't really rank them.
Jamming Jacob:I've seen I Love Lucy and it's a good show.
Jamming Jacob:So I, I'll just.
Jamming Jacob:That that's my input because I can't rank them.
Jamming Jacob:And I, I, I figured you were gonna have Three Stooges first because you've referenced that one the most.
Host:Yeah, I mean, that's why we use that in Bible Baloney Beatdown.
Host:I'd knock your brains out if you had any.
Host:I mean, that's just like, hilarious.
Host:All right, that's just my take.
Host:I'm just gonna leave it.
Host:Okay.
Host:The thing about Lucy is you gotta remember you can't just, you know, I mean, some of it's a little ridiculous, but there's some other jokes in there, are great.
Host:Leave it to be versus wholesome and, you know, that kind of thing.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right, now let's go back to you reaching out to us and what we're doing because we, we're still gonna stay on track.
Host:I've got this all set up, so I can definitely do it.
Host:And that was an excellent phone call by Sergio, just to let you know.
Host:All right, now you can, you know, reach out to us if you want to, because it's not professional radio.
Host:We just are kind of like, you know, brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Host:Just consider me a big brother who's annoying.
Host:And I won't go away.
Host:Okay?
Host:I'm always.
Host:Well, I'm on the air quite a bit.
Host:And here's the deal.
Host:You can reach us by email.
Host:That's pretty cool.
Host:Davidemustincrease.org that's davidemustincrease.org you can also text, and I like that you can text.
Host:It gives you direct contact.
Host: -: Host: -: Host:Or you can call us just like Sergio did.
Host: -: Host: -: Host: -: Host:All right.
Host:Talking to Jam and Jacob, that's like waking up and feeling like you've got a great night's sleep.
Host:Hello.
Jamming Jacob:Hello.
Jamming Jacob:Here is my official introduction into the show.
Jamming Jacob:Happy Wednesday.
Host:That was an excellent job.
Host:Way to do that.
Jamming Jacob:I've already spoken a few times before this hour, so that's my official introduction right there.
Host:I love it right there.
Host:All right.
Host:Excellent job.
Host:I do want to give a shout out to Steve, who's making mention of Alex Karras being the Mongo player in Blazing Saddles.
Host:Alex Karras was also a linebacker for the Lions.
Host:So if you guys have to understand that, you know, Candy Graham from Ungo, Candy Graham from Ongo, if you know what that line is right there from that movie, you are worse than me.
Host:Candy Graham from Mongo.
Host:All right.
Host:Anyway, let's go to this.
Host:I do have a trivia question.
Host:I'm going to give you a chance to answer it.
Host:It doesn't have to be trivia that you answer.
Host:It could be a praise report, could be a prayer request.
Host:Could be something.
Host:If it's serious, don't worry about that.
Host:Oh, the show is fun.
Host:No, no.
Host:That is not how it goes in life.
Host:There are moments where it's real fun and then there's hard things.
Host:It's all of it.
Host:That's what life is.
Host:Right?
Host:Jesus wept, but there were other elements where he talks about joy.
Host:It's a part of our lives.
Host:Right?
Host:You know that's true.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right.
Host:Here you go.
Host:This is actually kind of a fascinating question and a little tougher.
Host:So you might have to look up.
Host:You might have to look it up.
Host:I will give you a hint, but I will be very careful about how I give you this hint.
Host:All right.
Host:What woman was raised from the dead by Peter through the spirit of God.
Host:According to Acts 9:40.
Host:According to Acts 9:40, what woman was raised from the dead by Peter through the spirit of God?
Host:Now your hint.
Host:Okay, there was a show on and it is not a favorite show of many Christians because it had to do with a family.
Host:And she was, let's just say, worked in the occult realm, a show long ago in the 60s.
Host:But she named her daughter something.
Host:If you can remember these hints, that's all I can give you.
Host:That's the same name as the person that Peter raised from the dead through the spirit of God.
Host:Samantha was her name on the show.
Host:That's all I'm gonna say right there.
Host:What did she name her daughter?
Host:Let's see if you can remember that.
Host:See, these are really, really, really, really, really.
Host:Oh, good guess.
Host:Good guess, Corey.
Host:Good job.
Host:See, that's what I'm saying.
Host:That's it.
Host:That's it.
Host:Everybody's getting it from that one.
Host:See, her name was Samantha and it was her daughter's name.
Host:That's the same name.
Host:It's not who it is, but the same name.
Host:Acts 9:40.
Host:Don't tell me that wasn't a good hint.
Host:That was a really good hint.
Host:All right, we do have somebody on the line, but I'm not sure what's going on yet.
Host:We're gonna wait on that.
Host:Cause Jacob's still getting the information, which is not a problem.
Host:And don't think I'm endorsing the show because I'm using that as a hint.
Host:Don't do that.
Host:That's legalistic.
Host:Just stop that.
Host:Okay, but it's a pretty straightforward question.
Host:What woman was raised from the dead by Peter through the spirit of God?
Host:According to Acts, chapter 9, verse 40?
Host:And that hint is a pretty good hint.
Host:Old show.
Host:Darren was the husband, Samantha was the wife.
Host:What did they name their daughter?
Host:That's going to be the same name.
Host:If you think you know, you can reach out to us at what is our number?
Host:You would think that by now I would know our number.
Host:No comment.
Host: -: Host: -: Host:Davidemustincrease.org so there is something that I do wanna bring up and I'm not sure where we're going on the phone call.
Host:So let me check with Jim and Jacob.
Host:What do we got going on?
Host:Do we have somebody who wants to talk?
Jamming Jacob:Yeah, he just wants to talk.
Host:Not a trivia Question, not a trivia question, but we're gonna have them come through.
Host:All right.
Host:Let's give them that opportunity.
Host:That's what we do on the show.
Host:Let's send them on through.
Host:Knock knock.
Host:This is David.
Host:Who am I talking to?
Ann:Hello?
Ann:Hello, this is Ann.
Host:Hi, how are you?
Ann:About two weeks ago, I remember since I found you on the radio, I've been trying to listen to you when I can.
Ann:And then sometimes at night when I restless and I can't sleep, I'll listen to your repeat program, you know, but we talked and I was talking to you about my worry and my depression and you mentioned to me about reading in Philippians.
Host:Yep.
Host:Yeah.
Ann:And I found it in the New Testament.
Ann:But this New Testament Bible I have is written by a man named Chuck Smith.
Host:Okay.
Ann:It only had one verse of the one that you told me.
Ann:And then he gives his.
Ann:His opinion commentary, you know, about the different verses.
Ann:And so anyway, it didn't help me out very well.
Host:Well, and here's what we're going to do here.
Host:Here's what I wanna do.
Host:I want you.
Host:When you and I are done talking.
Host:Listen, just give me a second.
Host:When you and I are done talking, I want you to stay on the phone.
Host:And then Jacob is gonna get your address and we're gonna send you a Bible that doesn't have any commentary.
Host:It's just a Bible.
Host:And that way you can have the word of God.
Host:You don't have to look it up through commentary, just use the word of God.
Host:And I'll put a little note on there to remind you what the passage is.
Host:Cause I told you to do Philippians chapter four.
Host:And then we were talking about verse six, seven and eight.
Host:And so you'll get that chance.
Host:And so sometimes when you get a commentary, which they're excellent tools, sometimes they focus on other things.
Host:I just want you to use the word of God itself.
Host:I just want you to do the whole word.
Host:So when we're done talking, I want you to give that.
Host:If it's okay with you.
Host:You don't have to do it if you don't want to.
Host:But if you're willing to, I will send a Bible to you.
Host:And that way you can have a Bible that has the information.
Host:You just read it just so you know right where it is.
Host:No commentary or anything.
Host:And that'll just turn out to be a blessing all by itself.
Ann:Can I ask you this?
Ann:Will it be in the broken down English where it would be easy for me to understand?
Host:Yes.
Host:And specifically I have one that I'm looking at.
Host:Although I'm.
Host:Yep.
Host:I actually have a copy of one that's written in what we would call a softer or more simplistic English.
Host:And you will.
Host:I promise you, it'll be the best translation you've read in many, many years.
Host:Okay.
Host:And I've got it.
Host:And I'm moving.
Ann:It was very confusing to me, and it only had one part of a chapter, and then it had all of this.
Ann:This man, you know, was, I guess, trying to.
Ann:I don't know what he was trying to do.
Ann:But I didn't know Chuck Smith.
Host:He was a phenomenal teacher.
Host:But what I want you to do is I want you to do something just a little different.
Host:I want you just to use the scripture and let the Holy Spirit be the one that kind of guides you through it.
Host:I think you'll find that'll really, really help you.
Ann:Sorry.
Ann:Will this be old and New Testament?
Host:Yes, it will be both.
Ann:Okay.
Host:Okay.
Host:So you'll have that opportunity, and I have it here in the studio.
Host:So when we're done, I'm gonna put you over to Jacob, and he's gonna get your address, and we're gonna have it sent out to you.
Host:Okay.
Host:I'm gonna have to send it out tomorrow unless I can talk Jacob into doing it for me.
Host:But I'll send it out to you tomorrow.
Host:You should have it in a day or two.
Host:Okay.
Ann:Can I ask you how it will be sent?
Ann:If it'll be ups?
Ann:Yeah, that's so I can watch Farzan.
Host:That's a good question.
Host:I have to actually think about that.
Host:And if you listen to the rest of the show, I might be able to give you an answer about that.
Host:It will probably be through.
Host:From what I'm thinking, it'll probably be FedEx.
Host:And the reason is they do a ground FedEx, but they're close to my house, so that's why I would do that.
Host:I wouldn't do that to be irritating.
Host:I would do that because it makes it easier.
Ann:The small delivery trucks go up and down my road here.
Host:Yep, yep, yep.
Ann:But I was gonna say it wouldn't be any good to send it by mail, postal mail, because I have such a small mailbox, and it sits out on the side of the curb of the road, and we have thieves out here, and they steal.
Ann:And then if it's too big, they.
Ann:They won't put it in the mailbox.
Host:Gotcha.
Host:We'll take care of that.
Ann:We'll do it FedEx.
Ann:They'll put it on the Ground over the gate in my yard.
Host:Okay?
Ann:They'll put it in my yard and that way they.
Ann:Nobody can pick it up.
Host:You got it?
Host:That's exactly how we'll do it then.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right, so let me do this for you, Ann.
Host:Let me pray over you, and then I'm going to have Jacob take you, take the call back and get your information, okay?
Host:Okay, Let me pray over you.
Host:Let me pray real quickly.
Ann:I appreciate it.
Host:You got it?
Host:You got it.
Host:Father, we come before you right now, we lift up Ann and we just ask you to pour your blessings out upon her, Lord.
Host:She's going to get your word.
Host:There's no teacher like you, Lord.
Host:You're the best teacher of all teachers.
Host:And we ask you by the power of the Holy Spirit, that as and is reading your word, that it would speak to her, encourage her, strengthen her, and occupy her time in her heart and in her mind.
Host:We ask you to use your word to restore and strengthen her mentally, emotionally, psychologically and physically.
Host:And we ask you to bless her.
Host:And we thank you, God, for our sister.
Host:We ask that you would just let her have a wonderful time and experience.
Host:In your Word, we pray this in Jesus name, amen and amen.
Host:So here's what I wanna do.
Host:Okay?
Host:You stay on the line.
Host:Don't hang up.
Host:Then I'm gonna have Jacob, he's gonna take the call and get your address and then I will get that coordinated to get it to you, okay?
Ann:Okay, thank you, sir.
Host:You're welcome.
Host:Hang on the phone and Jacob's gonna take it back right now.
Host:Do you know how to take it back, Jacob?
Host:Okay, go ahead and do that.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right.
Host:See, now that's one of the things you wanna do, is you wanna be able to have people that can know the word.
Host:And then if she said it's not that, what she had is bad.
Host:Jack Smith was a brilliant teacher.
Host:In fact, a couple of his teachings were impactful for my own life to get out of that bad church situation I was in.
Host:So that's how important that is to me.
Host:And I just have just a ton, a ton of respect for him.
Host:Now, we do have a trivia question that's out there.
Host:We're going to get to that.
Host:But I'm probably not going to take a break.
Host:So you guys are not going to get a chance to breathe.
Host:Isn't that nice of me?
Host:So while Jacob is doing that thing, I'm going to go back to the trivia question.
Host:Just to remind you, there was a woman that was raised from the dead by Peter through the spirit of God in Acts 9:40.
Host:The only hint I can give you is there was an old show on in the 60s, I think initially it was black and white.
Host:The husband was named Darren and the wife was Samantha.
Host:What they named their daughter.
Host:That's the same name of the woman that Peter raised from the dead through the spirit of God.
Host:So if you know that, you're welcome to reach out.
Host:And right now the phone's tied up, but you're welcome to reach out by email or by text.
Host:In the meantime, before I answer that question, I want to go into this very important point portion of teaching, and that is simply this Christmas, Christmas, Christmas.
Host:I'm going to tell you two major scriptures for Christmas that won't be on the normal Christmas list.
Host:Don't you love the Lord?
Host:I mean, isn't he kind?
Host:Oh, listen to what Sergio said, too.
Host:How marvelous was that?
Host:It was phenomenal.
Host:Still, the Three Stooges not changing.
Host:All right, here we go.
Host:Here's your first and foremost scripture about Christmas.
Host:Ready?
Host:Okay, great.
Host:Genesis 3:15.
Host:And I will put enmity, open hostility between you and the woman and between your seed offspring and her seed.
Host:He shall fatally bruise your head, and you shall only bruise his heel.
Host:Genesis 3:15.
Host:Dave, how was that Christmas?
Host:I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed.
Host:And he shall bruise your head, and you shall only bruise his heel.
Host:How is that Christmas?
Host:Because it's the first prophecy of Jesus, that's how.
Host:And wait not to be undone.
Host:Wait, wait, wait, wait not to be undone.
Host:The next scripture for Christmas could be and should be this one as well.
Host:Hebrews, chapter one, verse one through three.
Host:Long ago, in many ways and at many times, God's prophets spoke his message to our ancestors.
Host:But now, at last, God has sent His Son to bring his message to us.
Host:God created the universe by His Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son.
Host:God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every every way.
Host:By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together.
Host:Genesis 3:15 is the first mention of Christmas.
Host:Hebrews 1:1:3 is a fulfillment of that mention.
Host:Jesus Christ is the exact representation of God the Father.
Host:What exact representation?
Host:What Christmas should be starting off with.
Host:And we know what it is, and we know what they've made it.
Host:We know the holiday on nobody's.
Host:You know, if you don't get caught up in it and you want to have fun with it, it's fine.
Host:You heard My clip where I talk about a Jewish guy being into Christmas.
Host:You know how that goes?
Host:That's about how it goes for me.
Host:But listen, anything that points us to Jesus at any point is an awesome thing.
Host:And so Genesis 3:15, that's your first Christmas verse.
Host:And I just like Hebrews 1:1:3 because why?
Host:It's very simple, because it just explains so clearly what's going on.
Host:I will have to borrow it.
Host:Got to do it, Got to do it, Got to do it.
Host:The Billy Graham story.
Host:I know you know it.
Host:I don't care.
Host:It just seems appropriate for now.
Host:Father and son are walking across a lot.
Host:Come across an anthill.
Host:Somebody stepped on the ant hills.
Host:Dead ants.
Host:There's wounded ants.
Host:There's ants running all around.
Host:Nobody knows what to do.
Host:The father says to the son, how can you help them?
Host:He says, I don't know.
Host:How do I help them?
Host:He says, you become an ant.
Host:That's what Jesus did.
Host:Come on.
Host:That is how much love and concern and compassion exists with our creator.
Host:Jesus prophesied about in Genesis and fulfilled, of course, throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Host:Just like the Hebrews 1:1:3, specifically, the exact representation.
Host:That's what Christmas is.
Host:It's like, praise the Lord.
Host:Praise the Lord.
Host:Somebody cared for us so that when we were going in about running around in circles like chickens with our heads cut off and didn't know what we were doing and going about wounded, somebody cared so much for us to do something.
Host:And he did something, didn't he?
Host:All right, the trivia answer.
Host:What woman was raised from the dead by Peter through the spirit of God?
Host:Acts, chapter 9, verse 40.
Host:Her name was Tabitha.
Host:Tabitha was her name.
Host:That's just classic, if you remember the show.
Host:All right, we'll take our break and then come back.
Host:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Host:Short break, we'll be back.
Host:Don't go anywhere.
Caller:What is the David Spoon Experience?
Caller:You say, I'll put it to you like this.
Caller:Do you love a good joke?
Caller:That's pretty bad.
Host:What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?
Host:A hippocrypotamus.
Host:Come on.
Caller:Do you love being able to ask questions?
Caller:Questions, comments, or having someone to pray for you?
Host:Do you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question?
Host:We don't want it to die of loneliness.
Host:We want it to have a chance.
Caller:And last but not least, do you love some trivia?
Host:All right, we got our Trivia question.
Host:Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?
Host:Somebody want to answer the trivia question?
Host:Okay, hold on, hold on.
Host:Here I go.
Host:This is David.
Host:Who am I talking to?
Host:Talking to Mary.
Host:This is Al, this is Brother Ace, this is Eric, this is Deborah.
Caller:Now, if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.
Host:Think of me as the big brother that won't go away.
Host:That's me.
Caller:Tune in to the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1:30pm on 7.70K.
Caller:AAM.
Host:JOB.
Host:I want to read job 3.25.
Host:I don't want anybody.
Host:Look, I know that the teachings in the church and being a Baptist, somebody who's got a Baptist ordination, a Pentecost ordination, somebody who understands what Kalmanian means, understands what the manifold millennial list is.
Host:I get it.
Host:I really do.
Host:I've been around for a little while.
Host:When you're hearing scripture, you don't have to put all the scriptures you hear in certain boxes so they fit your motif of a theology.
Host:Sometimes you can just look at it and observe it and go right for it and review it.
Host:And Job, chapter 3, verse 25.
Host:One of the things that Job said is what I feared has come upon me, what I dreaded has happened to me.
Host:There's a whole teaching on.
Host:It's because your confession wasn't good.
Host:I don't think that had anything to do with it.
Host:I think God was bragging about Job to Satan.
Host:Job didn't know that was going on.
Host:That's obvious.
Host:But there he is.
Host:God's bragging about him.
Host:And what Job is like going is like, this is the worst thing that I could think of.
Host:And that happens to people.
Host:Believers, good believers, great believers, fantastic believers, lousy believers and everybody else.
Host:It's something that takes place.
Host:Sometimes bad things come about in the process.
Host:That doesn't mean that God hates you.
Host:That doesn't.
Host:First of all, the world has rebelled against God and lies in wickedness.
Host:So it's not God's fault that the world said, we'll run this planet without you.
Host:We'll let you know.
Host:I mean, that's not God's fault.
Host:He's not the one that did that.
Host:People did that.
Host:And so the idea to understand is sometimes these tough things happen.
Host:The great thing to know is that God has not left and went to Pluto while you're going through these things.
Host:In this particular case, in Job, it was completely the opposite of what Job thought, because God was bragging about him.
Host:And Job thought he was in some kind of trouble or.
Host:Or some kind of judgment.
Host:Hey, guess what?
Host:Job was wrong.
Host:Something else was going on altogether, which is often the case.
Host:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Host:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Host:This Ka Man 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Host:Getting ready for your next trivia question.
Host:Boy, I hope you guys are ready for this one.
Host:I hope you're ready for this one.
Host:Okay, true or false?
Host:Now right there, that means 50.
Host:50, right?
Host:I mean, isn't that nice?
Host:50, 50.
Host:Got it.
Host:Okay.
Host:True or false?
Host:False.
Host:Philip was instructed by an angel to go south from Jerusalem along a road which led to Gaza.
Host:True or false?
Host:Acts 8.
Host:26.
Host:Philip was instructed by an angel to go south from Jerusalem along a road that led to Gaza.
Host:Is that true or false?
Host:Acts 8.
Host:26.
Host:Yes.
Host:I know that you have to actually think about it and look it up, but it also is true or false.
Host:So you can roll the dice.
Host:That's kind of what I could just say.
Host:I'll leave that there.
Host:If you think you know the answer.
Host: -: Host: -: Host: -: Host: -: Host:Or you can send an email.
Host:Davidemustincrease.org that is the question.
Host:I'm leaving it there.
Host:Philip was instructed by an angel to go south from Jerusalem along a road that led to the city of Gaza.
Host:True or false, Acts 8.
Host:26.
Host:If you think you know, reach out.
Host:In the meantime, I'm going to send you up to the website.
Host:I don't know how you send people up to the website other than the Internet's like up.
Host:You know what I'm saying?
Host:Because when it's not up, we say it's down.
Host:I mean, I think that's how that goes.
Host:I'm going to send you to the website.
Host:Look, if the ministry that we do is a blessing, then we want you to consider giving.
Host:How about that?
Host:Okay, that's a pretty good way to say if this ministry is a blessing for you, consider giving.
Host:Ha.
Host:Right there.
Host:If you already give, don't give beyond what you're supposed to.
Host:Never give.
Host:Never.
Host:I mean, I don't care it's us.
Host:I don't care who it is.
Host:I don't care what's going on.
Host:Never give by manipulation.
Host:Never give because you're being forced to or put on the spot.
Host:Never, ever, ever do that.
Host:Ministry shouldn't do that.
Host:They should give you the opportunity to give and let you know, hey, it's great and the Lord loves that.
Host:But if you don't give, it doesn't.
Host:God's not going to come down and rain on you.
Host:It's like, that's just ridiculous.
Host:You can give, give if you can't.
Host:Great, pray.
Host:And that's how it should be, all the way across, all the way along.
Host:Okay, check it out on our website Forgiving.
Host:Plus there's a lot of other cool stuff on there.
Host:Check out the website hemustincrease.org prayer request hemostincrease.org praise report hemustincreased.org looking to give to this ministry.
Host:He mustincrease.org confused by what's happening right now.
Host:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org they're moving in herds.
Host:They do move in herds.
Host:That's what we need.
Host:We need more movie clips.
Host:I'm working on, by the way, new fills in case people don't know that.
Host:I've already done 17 new fills.
Host:I'll have eight more done by the end of this weekend, plus 10, 10 other goofy, goofy sounds.
Host:You can count on movies coming into that.
Jamming Jacob: dd some more for the new year: Host:Yeah, we gotta get it going.
Host:I mean, look, dude, I know you guys think I just go home and just sit around and do nothing, but that would be wrong.
Host:Anyway, bottom line, your trivia question.
Host:True or false.
Host:Philip was instructed by the angel to go south from Jerusalem along a road that led to Gaza.
Host:True or false?
Host:Acts 8:26 in the meantime, guess what we have to do?
Host:We have to do our DNA.
Host:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Host:And that is no joke.
Host:Every day that you spend with the Lord, every day that you spend with the Lord makes your life better.
Host:Period.
Host:You want a better life?
Host:That's it.
Host:The D and the D is the most important thing.
Host:I don't care what anybody says.
Host:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Host:Get that time in with the Lord.
Host:It changes your life and it makes it better because there's more of God connected to you.
Host:That's just it.
Host:D.
Host:Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Host:As you know, other countries are getting worse and worse in some of their pursuit.
Host:We are telling people now, stand firm in the word of God.
Host:And to know the word of God, you've got to read the word of God.
Host:If you've got a photographic memory, then read the whole thing once, and then you'll always remember.
Host:But until then, keep reading and you'll never read it enough, no matter what anybody tells you.
Host:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Host:That's the end.
Host:So D of DNA.
Host:Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Host:A Always be ready.
Jamming Jacob:To serve.
Host:Just ready, man.
Host:Ready right here.
Host:This is a great way for me to illustrate this to people.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right.
Host:Are you ready for a little time off?
Host:People are like, yep, I am ready.
Host:Okay.
Host:See how that ready thing you're thinking right there?
Host:That's what we're talking about.
Host:Only doing that for the Lord.
Host:Always be ready.
Host:Ready to serve, ready for whatever the Lord wants.
Host:Ready to be used as a vehicle for people for purpose, for whatever.
Host:To be a blessing, to be called into prayer.
Host:You know what you should be ready for?
Host:To serve.
Host:Maybe the Lord just wants to commune with you.
Host:You should be ready for that, too.
Host:Maybe he just wants you to intercede for somebody or something or a nation or whatever.
Host:Don't know, don't know, don't know.
Host:But if you're connected, that's what counts.
Host:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Host:A.
Host:Always be ready to serve.
Host:Going right into the message, because we can't afford to wait on the time.
Host:Let me say this real quickly, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, huge component to Christmas is this.
Host:Listen to what I say.
Host:Number one, on Christmas, the birth of Christ is obviously huge, right?
Host:First prophesied in Genesis 3:15.
Host:Number two, and this is right in Christmas, loneliness is hard.
Host:You think, how is that Christmas?
Host:It is exactly Christmas?
Host:What are you talking about?
Host:Even in a group of people, it's easy to feel alone because nobody knows your thoughts the way that you know your thoughts or your feelings the way you do.
Host:Yet here we find out something amazing.
Host:God in Christmas wants us to be aware that he doesn't want us to, quote, unquote, feel alone.
Host:Matthew 1:23.
Host:Look, the virgin will conceive a child.
Host:She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, which means God is with us.
Host:Do you perhaps think it's an accident that Immanuel is the name, that God is with us is the declaration.
Host:It is not an accident.
Host:It is specific and purposeful.
Host:Because people don't always connect at every level with other people, but they can with their Creator.
Host:God knows every thought and nuance you have.
Host:Let's Use Sergio's example, thinking it was a minor thing to go and deal with what he had to deal with.
Host:Yet God was with him in that process.
Host:That is Emmanuel.
Host:And when you're alone, it is important to use not against, but to answer your feelings.
Host:It is important to use the truth to answer your feelings, because you can't just ignore it.
Host:Don't just ignore it.
Host:Okay.
Host:I feel like I'm.
Host:You know, I feel like I'm falling apart.
Host:Just ignore it.
Host:That doesn't.
Host:I need an answer.
Host:I need something that can be done with that.
Host:I need something constructive.
Host:Cool.
Host:Here it is.
Host:God doesn't want you to feel alone.
Host:God has made his commitment for you not to be alone.
Host:God even calls his revelation of you not being alone, Immanuel, which means God is with us.
Host:And just so you can understand.
Host:Revelation 3:20.
Host:Isn't it amazing?
Host:You go to all these different passages.
Host:Listen.
Host:Revelation 3:20.
Host:The Scripture says, listen, I am standing at the door and knocking.
Host:If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his home and share a meal with him and he with me.
Host:God is knocking on the door of our heart.
Host:He's knocking.
Host:Jesus is going, let me in.
Host:You don't have to be alone.
Host:You can be with me.
Host:I can be with you.
Host:You can never.
Host:You can get past that lonely experience and have that defeated.
Host:That is a big part of Christmas because his name is Emmanuel, and his purpose is to break the power of the loneliness.
Host:And it's a passionate plea, by the way, that Jesus makes in Revelation 3:20.
Host:Listen, I'm standing at the door and knocking.
Host:In almost every translation, it has exclamation points there.
Host:Listen, I'm standing at the door and I'm knocking.
Host:I'm trying to get in.
Host:Let me in so I can be with you.
Host:So you cannot be alone.
Host:That's Christmas.
Host:Like, wow, right?
Host:I mean, I know all the cool stories and all the stuff, and I know I get it all so many times.
Host:That is Christmas, the birth of Christ.
Host:And that loneliness is hard.
Host:But Jesus is the answer.
Host:Get it?
Host:Okay, take a deep breath.
Host:Let me answer the trivia question.
Host:Philip was instructed by an angel to go south from Jerusalem along a road that led to the city of Gaza.
Host:True or false?
Host:The answer is true.
Host:Acts, chapter 8, verse 26.
Host:We will take a short break and then come back.
Host:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here.
Host:I'm Kaam770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Host:Short break.
Host:We'll be back.
Host:Don't go Anywhere.
Narrator:The Christian faith is being attacked.
Narrator:Fifty years ago, people would disagree with Christianity, but with a sense of respect, those days are over.
Narrator:The rage, the flesh, the enemy, and the atmosphere of sin is growing and growing.
Narrator:Jesus said in Matthew 24, the love of many will grow cold.
Narrator:And if it's not the end now, it's certainly a lot closer than it was yesterday.
Narrator:You may be from a Baptist background.
Narrator:David Spoon has that.
Narrator:You may have a Pentecostal background.
Narrator:He has that too.
Narrator:You may have a non denominational background.
Narrator:Yep, he's got that as well.
Narrator:You may be from the Church of Christ Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination, but if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, give David a listen for a while.

Contest Announcer:It's incredible.
Contest Announcer:It's unbelievable.
Contest Announcer:But it's only for a limited time.
Contest Announcer:Enter.
Contest Announcer:Now here's a taste.
Contest Announcer:Thank you for listening to the David Spoon Experience.
Narrator:What is the David Spoon Experience, by the way?
Host:I found out just the other day.
Host:I know you don't know this, but I found out that I am one of the most hated people in the United States of America and in the world.
Host:Did you know that?
Host:Because you're a middle aged white guy.
Host:Let me help you out here, son.
Host:Let me help you out.
Host:Not only am I a middle aged white guy, by the way, thanks for the middle age line.
Host:Thanks, pal.
Host:I appreciate that.
Host:Not that far behind.
Host:Okay, well, that's not the point.
Host:The point is I'm also ready.
Host:Ready.
Host:I'm also Jewish, okay?
Host:So I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
Host:I'm Christian, so I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
Host:I'm conservative.
Host:I have a lot of people that don't like me right there.
Host:I'm an American.
Host:Got a lot of people that don't like me right there.
Host:I mean, you see where we're going with this?
Host:And I have a talk show, so that's just.
Host:You put all those together on my team.
Host:You got me left.
Host:I love you, buddy.
Host:I mean, come on.
Host:You know, just because they love me doesn't mean that they're right.
Host:And just because they hate me doesn't mean they're wrong.
Host:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Host:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Host:That's Ka, Man 770, the truth station here in texas, or TE.
Host:Time is tight.
Host:Let me give you this last trivia question.
Host:We will do our best.
Host:Name a certain disciple at Damascus who was told to find Saul of Tarsus and to lay his hands on him so he might regain his sight.
Host:Okay.
Host:Acts 9, 10, 13.
Host:There was a disciple that the Lord said, hey, go find Saul of Tarsus.
Host:Lay your hands on him.
Host:He's waiting for you to get there.
Host:Go lay your hands on him.
Host:And then this disciple went, that guy?
Host:I heard that guy's not good news.
Host:I'm concerned about that.
Host:And God said, go.
Host:He's like, okay.
Host:So he did go, okay.
Host:What I'm trying to say is, who is this guy?
Host:Name the certain disciple of Damascus who was told to find Saul of Tarsus.
Host:Now, you got to be in Acts, chapter 9, Acts 9, 10, 13.
Host:So to lay his hands on him so he might see who was that guy?
Host:I was told to do that.
Host:If you think, you know, you can reach out to us.
Host:If not, I'll tell you.
Host:You know that.
Host: -: Host: -: Host:Excellent job, Eric.
Host: -: Host: -: Host:Or send an email davidemustincrease.org wow.
Host:Okay, so that's a tuffy.
Host:I want to make sure you're aware of that.
Host:Again, I want to remind people if you're able to give.
Host:That's awesome.
Host:We don't have time to do everything we want to do today because that's just the way the show went.
Host:But we do have somebody on the line.
Host:Is it trivia or is it just.
Host:It is trivia.
Host:All right, let's go ahead and send them on through.
Host:Knock, knock.
Host:This is David, who am I talking to?
Samson:Hey, this is your little brother.
Host:Hey, what's going on, bro?
Samson:Hey.
Samson:Not much.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right, let's set up the trivia question.
Host:Let's get it nailed down.
Host:Name a certain disciple at Damascus who was told to go find Saul of Tarsus and then lay his hands on him so he might regain his sight.
Host:Who was that disciple?
Host:Ananias is correct.
Host:You are right.
Host:That is correct.
Host:And he's like going, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Host:God.
Host:I know you're talking to me.
Host:You're telling me to go see this guy, go see him.
Host:Okay.
Host:That's how it goes.
Host:What's happening with you, brother?
Samson:Yeah, I need your help.
Host:Okay, what do you got?
Samson:I'm reading a book about anti gravity, so I can't put it down.
Host:Oh, you're killing me here.
Host:You're killing me.
Samson:All right.
Samson:Thank you for your help.
Host:All right.
Samson:Love you, brother.
Samson:I know your time is tight, so love you and shalom.
Host:All right.
Host:Shalom, everybody.
Host:Be praying for our brother Samson.
Host:We love you, bro.
Host:All right.
Host:Bye.
Host:Bye.
Host:Okay.
Host:All right, let's get to it.
Host:I gotta get to this last little bit.
Host:Nice job.
Host:Excellent call by Samson.
Host:See, that's very nice.
Host:Very kind of him to be alert of the timing and everything.
Host:Here's this last little bit.
Host:I wanna just do this thing.
Host:It's called Zachariah's song or Zechariah.
Host:It's called the Song of Zechariah or Zechariah's prophecy.
Host:It's in Luke, chapter one.
Host:I'm just going to be reading verses 76, 77, 78 and part of 79.
Host:Listen to this.
Host:This is really good.
Host:So the first part of Christmas, just so you can understand, is the birth of Jesus Christ.
Host:The second part is that loneliness is hard and Jesus is the answer.
Host:The third is Zechariah's song or his prophecy.
Host:Listen to what he says.
Host:He says.
Host:And this is his prophecy.
Host:Remember?
Host:Couldn't talk.
Host:Then God lets him open his mouth.
Host:Afterwards, he says, he gives this prophecy.
Host:Right?
Host:You know the story, but let's get into what he says.
Host:He says, and you, my little son, will be called the Prophet of the Most High because you will prepare the way of the Lord.
Host:Listen to this verse 77 of Luke 1.
Host:To give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins.
Host:Because of God's tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us.
Host:To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.
Host:And to guide us to the Path of peace.
Host:You just got to look at this.
Host:This is phenomenal.
Host:First and foremost, he talks about this and he's saying, look, my little son, you're going to be the forerunner.
Host:You're going to prepare the way.
Host:And what you're going to prepare the way for is for people to gain this knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins.
Host:Everything else you can do, you can just drop right now and think about this.
Host:You being saved connects to your forgiveness of sins.
Host:Not you earning it, because you can't earn it, but the forgiveness of sins, the redemption from your sin.
Host:That's your knowledge of salvation, that you are forgiven.
Host:And when people struggle to recognize.
Host:Remember the three things I said to remember.
Host:The love of God, just as consistent as always, to recognize that you're forgiven and to recognize that God's timing is perfect.
Host:This is a perfect example of that.
Host:Because people struggle to stay in the forgiveness that God has granted them.
Host:And that staying power which comes from the Lord, from the word of God, from the affirmation of the Holy Spirit, that staying power is the knowledge of your salvation.
Host:Because when you recognize you're forgiven, you're saved.
Host:And you know you didn't die, it.
Host:It was given to you.
Host:And verse 78 says, why?
Host:Because of God's tender mercy.
Host:Why did God do it?
Host:Because he's full of tender mercy.
Host:He's showing his heart.
Host:That's why you're saved.
Host:Stop trying to.
Host:You can't earn it.
Host:In fact, if you're really saved, you want to do right for the Lord because your heart is so moved by his commitment, compassion for you.
Host:Not so that you can be one up, but so you can be one of.
Host:And in verse 79, we got a little bit of time, but listen to what he says.
Host:To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us into the path of peace.
Host:He wants there to be light in the darkness of our minds.
Host:And he wants the shadow of death to be broken through the power of light so he can guide us into the path of peace.
Host:Tell me everything you want in the world.
Host:I've been alive long enough to know there's not a person in the world that would disagree with this.
Host:We're all looking for peace of mind.
Host:We're just looking for the calm between the left and right ear.
Host:We're looking for it to be settled.
Host:We're looking for it to be less waves and less wind.
Host:And what Zechariah's song does is teaches us about forgiveness being the key seizing and hanging onto that forgiveness, giving us the understanding of salvation.
Host:And that's given to us.
Host:Verse 78.
Host:Because God is showing his heart.
Host:And then he closes with, there's a light.
Host:Giving light to those who sit in darkness.
Host:That's in the darkness of their thinking and in the shadow of death underneath that darkness, darkness of that thinking to guide us to the path of peace.
Host:That's peace in our hearts and minds.
Host:So it doesn't have the turbulence.
Host:That's what Christmas is.
Host:To breach the darkness, to break that shadow of death and that impending fear, and to speak unto us, a pathway into peace.
Host:And we can have that peace because we are forgiven.
Host:And we are forgiven because that salvation that God has poured upon us is a gift.
Host:And it's the forgiveness of our sins.
Host:And knowing that we are forgiven gives us all of these things.
Host:That's what Christmas is.
Host:The birth of Christ.
Host:The baby born to die, to be reborn for our sake and our wellness and our eternity as a gift from God.
Host:Wow.
Host:How about Merry Christmas, right?
Host:Okay.
