Shownotes
Steve Emt was paralyzed from the waist down after a near-fatal vehicle accident. Admittedly, Steve faced many dark days and depression as he attempted to cope with this life-changing incident. He ultimately made a choice to survive and thrive.
Steve is a strong believer in taking charge of your life and developing an action plan to save yourself. You have to accept that there will be curveballs in life. Steve points out that sometimes, life just sucks. But if you shift your focus from what happened to how you respond, you'll move forward.
Steve shares that you have the power to impact lives. Smile, wave, say hi to people, and ask how they’re doing. Communication and connection are a large part of the human experience. A simple smile or a few kind words might end up saving someone’s life.
In this episode of Motivational Mondays, Steve discusses how he overcame significant adversity to become a successful educator, author, motivational speaker, and two-time Paralympian wheelchair curler.
