Welcome to 12 Minute Converse with Jesus Believers.
Speaker:God chose first to have a conversation with us, his creation.
Speaker:Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.
Speaker:Praise God for you, Pastor Sam.
Speaker:It's a great pleasure to connect with you.
Speaker:What part of the world are you in today?
Speaker:Yeah, I'm in Nigeria.
Speaker:If I went with only the meanings of your name, I think we could have an entire hour-long conversation.
Speaker:For those that aren't aware, would you tell us the meaning of your other names?
Speaker:Not Sam, but what I would imagine is pronounced as Amalarin Adigoke.
Speaker:Did I do that correctly?
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:So, aside from the fact that I guess Sam, I'll also be Amalarin, which means God makes me laugh.
Speaker:God has made me laugh.
Speaker:We can also say that, you know.
Speaker:It's a name that actually means that, you know.
Speaker:I can say, literally speaking, that the same name in the Bible called Isaac is actually the Yoruba pronunciation of Pamelarin.
Speaker:You know, God makes me laugh.
Speaker:I think that's also the Hebrew meaning of Isaac.
Speaker:You know, so that's the meaning of Pamelarin.
Speaker:God has made me laugh.
Speaker:And the other name, pronounce the other name so I can see if I did it correctly or not.
Speaker:Adigoke.
Speaker:Adigoke.
Speaker:Adigoke.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:That's an exalted proud.
Speaker:Yes, exalted proud.
Speaker:Do you believe that the name you're given ultimately defines the life you live?
Speaker:Definitely so.
Speaker:Definitely so.
Speaker:I personally believe that names are not just nomenclatures.
Speaker:Names are not just, you know, just to identify as something or as someone.
Speaker:Name actually is a revelation of one's identity.
Speaker:It's also a revelation of one's destiny.
Speaker:That's why it's very important that we are careful of the kind of name that we bear or that we answer to.
Speaker:So I believe that my name, Pamelarin, is actually my present experience.
Speaker:You know, I believe that, you know, God has made many lives happy through my life.
Speaker:And I believe that God is still doing so.
Speaker:You know, so I believe that my name is actually a revelation of my current experience.
Speaker:How did you come to meet Jesus?
Speaker:Amazing question.
Speaker:So I must say that my parents are, you know, people that love the Lord.
Speaker:So I grew up in a Christian home.
Speaker:You know, I grew up seeing my parents serve the Lord.
Speaker:In fact, before my dad responded to the call of God, there was a man of God that always come to our house.
Speaker:And at that time, that man of God traveled from another city to our city.
Speaker:So he had been looking for how to start up his ministry.
Speaker:I remember that my parents gave him all the support that he needed.
Speaker:In fact, he started the church ministry from our house.
Speaker:So I grew up in that environment, you know, learning the things of God.
Speaker:But I remember leading the choir at the age of 12.
Speaker:You know, the mass choir at the age of 12 in a town meeting.
Speaker:I also remember joining a drama group, right?
Speaker:Just a bit after that, you know, in my teenage age.
Speaker:So I grew up knowing the Lord, you know.
Speaker:But, you know, there's that point whereby you get to know God for yourself.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:You know, you might know church, but you don't know the God of the church.
Speaker:You know, you might be singing hymns, but you don't know him.
Speaker:So I grew up in that church environment.
Speaker:But for a long time, I didn't have a personal encounter or a personal revelation of who God is until during my teenage age.
Speaker:It was during my teenage age that I can say, OK, I had a personal encounter with the Lord for myself.
Speaker:Tell me about the evolution that brought you to Mobile Fire Mentorship Network.
Speaker:So, like I said, since that time, there has been this hunger.
Speaker:I just knew that there is more in God.
Speaker:I wanted to press into more of God and I wanted to see many others also pressing into more of God.
Speaker:So I remember getting admitted into a university, right?
Speaker:The university where I did my degree.
Speaker:So when I got into, when I got on campus, I remember going to one of those prayer grounds to go and pray.
Speaker:And while I was praying there, I just wanted to be a blessing to people.
Speaker:I just wanted to show people that there is more in God than the nominal level of Christianity.
Speaker:I knew that there was something deeper in God that we all can press into.
Speaker:So I just went there that day to pray.
Speaker:I was praying alone.
Speaker:But while I was praying, I was asking God, I was telling God what I want.
Speaker:Lord, I want the anointing.
Speaker:Lord, I want more of your presence.
Speaker:I want more of your glory.
Speaker:And you know, while I was praying, God asked me a question.
Speaker:He said, you have been asking for what you want, but do you ever ask me what I want?
Speaker:And I was like, whoa.
Speaker:So God told me clearly that day that I've always been asking him, God, this is what I want from you.
Speaker:God, this is what I want you to do for me.
Speaker:Oh, Lord, this is what I want.
Speaker:And God told me specifically that day that, have you ever paused to actually ask me what I want?
Speaker:So then I changed my prayers.
Speaker:Lord, what do you want?
Speaker:What do you want me to do?
Speaker:Then God told me, he said, ensure that the fire I give to you, the hunger I give to you, the passion I put on the inside of you, ensure that you spread it upon as many people as you can.
Speaker:And that was the day I was called Mobile Fire.
Speaker:That was the day that revelation of that name called Mobile Fire came to me.
Speaker:You know, so eventually later, as I began to pray, as I began to, you know, bring people in, you know, that's where the mentorship network began.
Speaker:Because a lot of people wanted to just have an experience of God through my ministry.
Speaker:Many of them wanted to be mentored.
Speaker:Many of them, as they pray, God will lead them to me to be their spiritual father, to be their mentor.
Speaker:And so when I realized that their number is increasing, so I decided to just have a network for them where I can consistently teach them the word of God.
Speaker:And that's how Mobile Fire mentorship network came.
Speaker:Absolutely amazing.
Speaker:The Elijah Generation Church, the name again, if we're tapping into the power of names, why call it Elijah Generation Church?
Speaker:Also, so Elijah Generation Church, I remember God telling me that Elijah is more than a human being.
Speaker:Elijah is actually a prophetic symbol.
Speaker:Because God told me, he said that even John was, he said, the Bible says John came in the spirit and power of Elijah.
Speaker:So Elijah did not end with that man in the Old Testament.
Speaker:Elijah's spirit, the Elijah mandate continued even in that man called John.
Speaker:Just like Jezebel also did not end, right, with Jezebel.
Speaker:Jezebel continued with Herodias.
Speaker:I remember it was through Herodias that the prophet John, you know, his life was taken.
Speaker:So God told me, said Elijah is not just a man.
Speaker:Elijah is actually a prophetic symbol in the spirit.
Speaker:That's why the Bible says John came in the spirit and power of Elijah.
Speaker:So God told me, said that he wants to raise the voices of God, prophetic people, not just in church, but in the secular space.
Speaker:God wants Elijah to arise in politics.
Speaker:God wants Elijah to arise in fashion.
Speaker:God wants Elijah to arise in the media.
Speaker:So God told me, said Elijah is not just a man that should sit down in church.
Speaker:We want to see the spirit of Elijah, find expression in other sectors.
Speaker:So that the glory of God can cover the earth, just like the waters cover the sea.
Speaker:So that's the vision behind the Elijah Generation Church.
Speaker:What is the biggest challenge in your ministry?
Speaker:The biggest challenge I must say in my ministry, that's a very deep question.
Speaker:I would say that, you know, anywhere things are working, it's people making it work.
Speaker:You know, the Bible says the work is plenty, but the laborers are few.
Speaker:So I would say that as much as we have many men on ground, I still feel like we need more yielded men.
Speaker:You know, you can have a whole number of men, but you have a little number of yielded men.
Speaker:So I believe that the gospel thrives on men.
Speaker:So I would say that, you know, men, men, men.
Speaker:I believe that our own challenge as a ministry is not just about finances.
Speaker:Okay, you know, I know that many churches, many ministries, we have financial issues, you know, in the sense of, okay, they want to do more things.
Speaker:But, you know, the finances is not there to push the work and all of that.
Speaker:But I believe that even if you have money on ground, you still need men.
Speaker:God is a God of people.
Speaker:God used men to get men.
Speaker:God used men to save men.
Speaker:It is saved men that save others.
Speaker:So I would say that the greatest challenge is, you know, the greatest challenge I can say is, you know, men, you know, having more men.
Speaker:Yielded men, people that are sold out to God.
Speaker:You know, such persons are not easy to find upon the landscape, you know.
Speaker:So that's what I would call the greatest challenge.
Speaker:Alright, five years from today, you're listening to this conversation.
Speaker:You would have heard the evolution in your voice here.
Speaker:You would have heard Sam five years younger and his passion, his conversation about mobile fire, coming through drama, coming through worship leading the team at 12.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:What would you say as or leave as a message to future you?
Speaker:I would say whether you get the applaud or not, just keep pleasing Jesus.
Speaker:Don't allow the destruction of your generation to delude you.
Speaker:Don't be don't submit to the distractions in your generation.
Speaker:Never allow your voice to be silenced.
Speaker:And never allow your public life be stronger than your private life.
Speaker:So I would say I would say that to my younger self.
Speaker:In closing, is there anything else you'd like to share?
Speaker:Personally, I would like to just share this, that there is a difference between walking for God and walking with God.
Speaker:You can get so lost in walking for God that you will lose touch on walking with God.
Speaker:So no matter what we do for God, our primary goal must be to please our master.
Speaker:Our primary goal must be to be intimate.
Speaker:We must not be lost in activities to a point whereby we will lose touch on intimacy.
Speaker:God is much more concerned about our intimacy with him than in our activities for him.
Speaker:So that's the word I'm going to put out.
Speaker:I'm going to say Christians should become more intimacy minded than activity minded.
Speaker:Pastor Sam, this has been a great honor.
Speaker:I definitely want to make mention of your first name and the meaning of it as well.
Speaker:More than likely being a shortened version of Samuel.
Speaker:And it would represent God as heard.
Speaker:I thank you for the power of your voice.
Speaker:The words that you're speaking in ministry.
Speaker:So that God is heard.
Speaker:Again, a pleasure.
Speaker:I treasure.
Speaker:Thank you for being on what is Inspired.
