Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All right, now today I want us to look at how you can incorporate your faith as part of the foundation of your business.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let me go ahead and share this screen here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We'll go ahead and get started today.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, it should not be all business or all faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

To be successful, there needs to be a balance in all things.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

To be successful, everyone, your employees, your customers, they need to see and understand that you are a professional who holds fast to your faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, choosing scripture that aligns with your message will help to reinforce the truth that you try sharing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, select verses that in your presentations that, that will naturally connect to the stories theme.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Adding spiritual depth without overpowering the narrative of the story and the scripture should feel like a natural extension of your message and has enhancing the meaning for your, your listeners, not, you know, something that you just added in there because that was the time to put it there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No, it needs to flow, it needs to connect, it needs to, to be real.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, scripture can serve as a guiding light in your story, grounding the lesson in some type of timeless truth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A reference, specific verses as, as a moral anchor of your narrative.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Showing your audience how your faith provides reliable guidance and strengthens the message with spiritual authority, all while sharing the information that you want them to receive concerning your products, your services, whatever it is the, the point of your presentation is about.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now the important part to remember is you are not preaching during these presentations, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is not a church service.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I, I'll usually, personally, I'll usually insert a scripture reference as a gentle way to, to make a point and, and help reinforce that I'm, you know, looking at this situation through my faith as well as through the business lens.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, to accomplish this type of balance, all scripture should flow with your story to avoid disrupting the pace.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And when integrated thoughtfully, purposefully, the scripture will add value without overshading your message.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Aim for that natural fit.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay, let me say that again.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Aim for a natural fit that the.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

How can I say this, Lord?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A natural fit that will let the verse support the story's meaning.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's what I'm trying to get to.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It'll create that harmonious blend that feels genuine and powerful if Your intended audience thinks you're simply inserting the scripture reference as a way of making them feel good, or, you know, if they follow you or you're trying to condemn them if they don't follow you, that they don't fall in line with your storytelling, then you're doing it for the wrong purpose because it's all about how they feel about it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Your storytelling, as we've already said, becomes more meaningful when it is linked to real life situations, real life applications, real life experiences.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Share how the tips and the techniques that you're sharing have helped you in difficult times, difficult situations.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It is during these examples that you will also be able to make reference to your faith and giving a scripture reference that, that you may have held on to in tough times.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Do not, folks, do not try to emphasize the importance of the scripture reference as if you're preaching on a Sunday morning.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No, no, no, no.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's simply a way to help your audience understand the importance of your faith in your business and that you're not afraid to, to.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

To share and bear it all, the good, the bad, the ugly with them.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And encourage your listeners to ponder how your story applies to them.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When you share stories that resonate to someone personally, it will open up a space for them to reflect on their own experiences.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It makes the story more interactive, more meaningful.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When you share brief glimpses of your faith while telling these stories, it adds the element of credibility to your stories as well.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's not something they'll be able to tell.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's not something you just made up because you wanted to do this presentation.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It helps to bring your audience emotionally into the story and tying them emotionally to the product or service that you're discussing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's what you're trying to get to.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When you can engage someone's emotions into their purchasing decisions.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You've covered about 80% of the buying decision making process right there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's where I'm going to leave it at for today.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.
