About the Guest – Pamela Jones of Soundswrite

The founders of Soundswrite, Pamela Jones and Bill Lawrie, met while playing a couple in a local theatre production. What is that expression? "Life imitates art"? Well, that's what happened...

They formed Soundswrite more than fifteen years ago and have been making beautiful music, voiceovers, commercials, demos, and coaching together ever since!

PAM is Soundswrite's Creative Director

With a B.A. in theatre and an honours degree in broadcasting from BCIT (where she is currently on the Advisory Council), Pam has been the promo voice of all of Knowledge Network's pledge campaigns for the past several years. She voices descriptive video for features and series and casts and runs the WALLA group out of North Shore Film Studios. She has worked for Virgin Radio, Jack FM, STAR FM and other major market stations, in addition to several ad agencies. She has co-written several award-winning film and TV scripts, one of which won the Tribal Film Festival and placed in the "Top 10" at the Cannes International Screenplay Contest". Pam is an active board member of Women in Film and continues to voice and write for clients around the world.

About the Host:

Susan has worked with people all her life. As a human resource professional, she has specialized in all aspects of employment, from hiring to retirement. She got her start as a national representative for a large Canadian union. After pursuing an undergrad degree in business administration, Susan transitioned to HR management, where she aspired to bring both employee and management perspectives to her work. She retired from her multi-decade career in HR to pursue writing and consulting, and to be able, in her words, to “colour outside the lines.” She promises some fun and lots of learning through this podcast series.

Susan is also the author of Leadership Inside Out: Effecting Change from Within. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Training.
