The Trump administration has proposed regulations that would effectively upend the current asylum system. A group of asylees discuss the devastating impact these proposed changes would have on the outcome of their asylum cases. 

Dayana is a transgender Afro-Cuban woman and political dissident who won asylum while detained in Louisiana; Jay is a young, gay Jamaican student, actor and aspiring civil rights attorney living in New York as an asylee; and Ali is an Iranian asylee who fled his country due to religious persecution after converting to Christianity, which is a capital crime in that country.
