Beth Hewitt:

Good morning, Mel. Good morning, Beth. How are you today? I'm good,

Beth Hewitt:

thank you. What does it say on your cup? It says, the future is in

Melissa Amos:

your hands. Oh, the future is tea.

Beth Hewitt:

I love that. I don't. What's my mug? My mug just says, world's best

Beth Hewitt:

nephew. So there's nothing profound going on in that. In that cup. Well, maybe you're

Melissa Amos:

tapping into a past life thing

Melissa Amos:

somewhere. So what's been going on with you? You've been busy with your

Beth Hewitt:

challenge last week. Yes, I've been busy. It was

Melissa Amos:

incredible just being with all of these people

Melissa Amos:

who are on various stages of their spiritual

Melissa Amos:

journey and helping them really understand

Melissa Amos:

how and why. And what about tapping into the intuition

Melissa Amos:

and keeping the energy clear and understanding that we

Melissa Amos:

do have this higher force or higher power or

Melissa Amos:

higher knowing and it is available to all of us and we don't need, like,

Melissa Amos:

special. We all have the special gifts and special talents. And it was one of

Melissa Amos:

those weeks that every single day the same card came

Melissa Amos:

up. Oh, I love it when that happens. What was the card? It's

Melissa Amos:

such a good card and it's still here. I kept it out. It

Melissa Amos:

is safe for you to shine. Oh, that's a nice card. And

Beth Hewitt:

that's a message I think everybody needs to hear. Yeah. More

Beth Hewitt:

than once. So I'm glad that it came out every single day. Yeah. Interesting.

Melissa Amos:

Maybe we can dive into that today because I think it's an important topic. But

Melissa Amos:

before we do, how have you been safely shining

Melissa Amos:

just going through the. Throes of being on top of

Beth Hewitt:

business. Really? Yeah. Nothing to

Beth Hewitt:

massively report back on. Shining my light, doing my thing.

Melissa Amos:

And, you know, this is what happens when we find that level of

Melissa Amos:

safety that we can just go and be and don't feel that we

Melissa Amos:

have to control everything and have

Melissa Amos:

everything, all of our ducks in a row and make sure that everything is good.

Melissa Amos:

Because I know for me, when I so say

Melissa Amos:

this, this five day practice, it's the 6th time I've run it

Melissa Amos:

now. And I remember the first two, three

Melissa Amos:

times just being like, oh, my God, I've got so

Melissa Amos:

much I need to do. And, like, just being really in my head.

Melissa Amos:

And every morning I made myself go to yoga. Like, every time I'm like,

Melissa Amos:

every day I'm going to go and I would go in there and I'd just

Melissa Amos:

be there with my hands on my head just going, just calm down. Just get

Melissa Amos:

in your body. Just get in your body. Just get in your body. Because those

Melissa Amos:

first few times, I suppose there was an unknown.

Beth Hewitt:

Yeah. This has been over the last three years or so. And this time it

Melissa Amos:

was very different. This time it was like, yep, it's

Melissa Amos:

all okay. It's all going to be all right. If some weird tech

Melissa Amos:

thing, like the wrong task went up one day, it's fine,

Melissa Amos:

doesn't matter. Right? Yeah, right. It's perfect.

Melissa Amos:

Trusting that things are as they are and being organized, you've got to be. I

Melissa Amos:

didn't just wake up in the morning, like, what, today, you've still got to be

Melissa Amos:

organized. But this message of feeling

Melissa Amos:

safe in order to come out and do your thing is so important. I

Melissa Amos:

think it's something that we don't cover all the time

Melissa Amos:

in, whether that's psychic work, intuitive work,

Melissa Amos:

mediumship work, or even setting up your own

Melissa Amos:

business work. Yeah, I absolutely agree

Beth Hewitt:

that we don't really talk about not just

Beth Hewitt:

being safe, but just that it's okay to be ourselves and

Beth Hewitt:

that in us just shining our light, we are paving the way for other

Beth Hewitt:

people to do the same. So I definitely think it's something

Beth Hewitt:

that we need to talk more and more about, and I wonder

Beth Hewitt:

why that is. I think we're brought up as stay humble, don't brag,

Beth Hewitt:

that's big headed, that kind of thing. And so we forget to pat ourselves on

Beth Hewitt:

the back, but we do these amazing things and we might do them

Beth Hewitt:

just a one time thing. It could be like, graduate from university or whatever that

Beth Hewitt:

thing is, and then we never celebrate that again. You know, we have a picture

Beth Hewitt:

taken with a scroll and as family, and then it's on the mantelpiece, but then

Beth Hewitt:

we never really, unless you're in a job interview or something or somebody's reading it

Beth Hewitt:

on your cv, we're not really reliving that achievement. And I

Beth Hewitt:

think we should remember how amazing we

Beth Hewitt:

are often, and we should continue to shine our light and share our

Beth Hewitt:

message and repeat our message for new people to hear and new people to

Beth Hewitt:

be inspired by. So I love that card. Came out lots of times last

Beth Hewitt:

week. It was a theme. So for me,

Melissa Amos:

when I'm talking about intuition and connecting with these higher

Melissa Amos:

powers, one of the days, one of the subjects we talk about

Melissa Amos:

is energy, hygiene and energy management and having this, knowing that

Melissa Amos:

we are grounded, we are connected and we're protected.

Melissa Amos:

And as long as we're those things, we can start to feel open. And

Melissa Amos:

one of the, one of the members of the group, she'd been in the practice

Melissa Amos:

a few times, got various information,

Melissa Amos:

but she said, I'm coming again. And it's not necessarily worked for me. In the

Melissa Amos:

past and I don't know. And she joined the vip group, so we had some

Melissa Amos:

conversations and when I dug into it with

Melissa Amos:

her, it's because she didn't feel safe. Something happened and

Melissa Amos:

I can't go back there. And so we just went into that and found another

Melissa Amos:

way that we can safely find

Melissa Amos:

that connection. And how we did it was

Melissa Amos:

rather than sitting and waiting for an intuitive. So we work

Melissa Amos:

on the spirit guides rather than sitting and waiting for this.

Melissa Amos:

I don't know what voice in our. Head, come in, do

Beth Hewitt:

this. Rather than that. We spoke about. What about,

Melissa Amos:

if you tell your guide, don't expect to listen. Don't

Melissa Amos:

bring them into your space straight away. Just call on them.

Melissa Amos:

Say, thank you for being here. I know that you're here to help me.

Melissa Amos:

What I would love for you to do is, or what I'd really like from

Melissa Amos:

you is. And so that we can start to set the parameters. Cause our

Melissa Amos:

guidance team isn't here, tell us what to do, but if we

Melissa Amos:

say to the guidance team, tell us what to do, we're giving it an

Melissa Amos:

instruction that it may, you know, they

Melissa Amos:

want to reply and they want to help us, but I think we've been asking

Melissa Amos:

them the wrong questions. So by really pouring our energy

Melissa Amos:

into, well, actually, what is it? Why do I want this relationship with you?

Melissa Amos:

How is it that you're going to help me? And in what way

Melissa Amos:

do I want you to help me? I don't want an

Melissa Amos:

apparition to come and appear in my room

Melissa Amos:

or something to fly off the wall. That's not what I want. Although

Melissa Amos:

that would be quite.

Melissa Amos:

Oh, okay, you're here. Thank you. And so we began to set

Melissa Amos:

that energy, I said, and then just get your pen and paper out and start

Melissa Amos:

writing. And she received the most beautiful message from her higher

Melissa Amos:

self because that's who she felt safe with, her higher self, rather than a spirit

Melissa Amos:

guide. My higher self is part of our guidance team.

Melissa Amos:

And it was, it was incredible because I know for me, in

Melissa Amos:

therapy work, that's number one. You could have the

Melissa Amos:

best techniques in the whole wide world, but if your client doesn't feel safe, nothing's

Melissa Amos:

going to happen. It's the same with this work.

Beth Hewitt:

Yeah. And do you think we often put

Beth Hewitt:

intuition or spirit guides or higher

Beth Hewitt:

power almost like above us, like it's a.

Beth Hewitt:

Almost like it's a. Better than us, it knows more than us, it's more than

Beth Hewitt:

we are without realizing that it's just part

Beth Hewitt:

of us. It's part of the whole. And I

Beth Hewitt:

think maybe that's sometimes why it feels a little bit

Beth Hewitt:

out of reach. Like I'm almost like, not good enough to receive that.

Beth Hewitt:

Or instead of, I love that you approached

Beth Hewitt:

it from setting that intention of, I want you to come in and I want

Beth Hewitt:

to work with you. And this is what we can be working on, rather than

Beth Hewitt:

expecting that higher power to be the thing

Beth Hewitt:

that gives you the answer to everything because

Beth Hewitt:

it's external to us or because we view it as external or separate or

Beth Hewitt:

whatever, when actually it's us. If we set the intention, if

Beth Hewitt:

we decide how we want the day to go or the life to

Beth Hewitt:

go or the message that we receive, then

Beth Hewitt:

we're loosely taking back the reins. We're picking up those reins and

Beth Hewitt:

saying, I'm in control. Not in a control freak way, but

Beth Hewitt:

in a, I'm here for it. I'm ready to create my life, my

Beth Hewitt:

reality, my, my version of joy, bliss, whatever

Beth Hewitt:

that is that you're trying to bring in exactly. For

Melissa Amos:

me, I don't think the universe has a plan for us. I think that the

Melissa Amos:

universe supports our plans, and many of us walk around

Melissa Amos:

without really a clear plan. And even the whole manifestation

Melissa Amos:

conversation is often about, well, what can you manifest? Go and get

Melissa Amos:

the things. And it's not for me. And it was about that in the beginning.

Melissa Amos:

I was like, oh, this is cool, and this is brilliant. And then actually what

Melissa Amos:

happened with me is I didn't feel safe. I started on the manifestation route, and

Melissa Amos:

then I didn't feel safe from my own thoughts. I thought my own thoughts

Melissa Amos:

are tripping me up. And because, you know, we all have those

Melissa Amos:

things going on. We all have the, what if this

Melissa Amos:

happens? Or the Brenda, I don't know. I call it Brenda. The

Melissa Amos:

Brenda voice sitting in my head telling me,

Melissa Amos:

like, what are you doing? You don't want to do this? And what if this

Melissa Amos:

happens? And, oh, blah. And I started to become afraid of

Melissa Amos:

that because as I begin to realize my own power,

Melissa Amos:

that I could manifest actual, real things, physical

Melissa Amos:

things, which didn't have an explanation to that. Then

Melissa Amos:

when intrusive thought came in,

Melissa Amos:

like being underground in San Francisco and

Melissa Amos:

wondering, oh, what if there was an earthquake now? And I genuinely thought

Melissa Amos:

I was about to, like, everyone around me was all going to

Melissa Amos:

drown in a thing because I had that thought. That's not feeling

Melissa Amos:

safe. And so it led me on this journey

Melissa Amos:

of discovery of, okay, what does it mean? And how does vibration work

Melissa Amos:

and how does energetics work? And then later on, how does

Melissa Amos:

this spirit connection work? So I started then getting into

Melissa Amos:

mediumship and I was like, this is amazing. I can contact the dead.

Melissa Amos:

I am having information, this is amazing. And it was great.

Melissa Amos:

And then one day I had that thought of, oh, but what if the

Melissa Amos:

man comes in and he's not very nice? And somebody said to me, oh, aren't

Melissa Amos:

you protecting yourself? And aren't you doing this? And I was like, and then the

Melissa Amos:

experience began to change. And so

Melissa Amos:

I think that this new wave of healers, readers,

Melissa Amos:

spiritually conscious, opening up, we are all

Melissa Amos:

energetic, whether we're aware of it or not, as we come into our

Melissa Amos:

awareness of it, I think our job is, okay, how can I create the

Melissa Amos:

best parameters? Again, not in a controlly way,

Melissa Amos:

but in an empowering way, how do I create those best parameters so

Melissa Amos:

that I know that what I am attracting into me, I

Melissa Amos:

know what I'm receiving into me, I know what guidance that's coming into me is

Melissa Amos:

actually leading me into my highest and greatest good.

Melissa Amos:

And I can't give you a simple answer,

Melissa Amos:

but that's what my work is about. So I think it's important

Beth Hewitt:

to have that idea of what you do want,

Beth Hewitt:

rather than just receiving or wanting

Beth Hewitt:

messages to land to support you on your path.

Beth Hewitt:

What is it that you actually want? Are you clear on that? And then this

Melissa Amos:

comes back into the know thyself. And this is why your

Melissa Amos:

work's so powerful, because you're not just saying, oh, what do you want? Oh, I

Melissa Amos:

want the job, or the car, or the bananas or whatever. You're

Melissa Amos:

really getting them to feel into it. And sometimes when we're in that.

Melissa Amos:

I was speaking about this at an event I was at the other day. We

Melissa Amos:

might think we want the Ferrari and we think that I'm going to manifest the

Melissa Amos:

Ferrari. And I believe that you could manifest the Ferrari and the universe will

Melissa Amos:

start to bring it to you. However, if you like, if I

Melissa Amos:

went into, okay, do I want a Ferrari? How would I

Melissa Amos:

feel having a Ferrari? Yeah, I might feel like I'm in my lovely

Melissa Amos:

car, but also I wouldn't feel safe. I'd be like, everyone's looking

Melissa Amos:

at me, people are making comments when I park the car. I'm going to

Melissa Amos:

want to get the biggest space in the world, and that's really stressful. I can't

Melissa Amos:

just nip it in every time there's a, I don't know,

Melissa Amos:

a lorry in front of me, I might think that something's going to drop in

Melissa Amos:

it or someone's going to ding my car or someone might come and key it.

Melissa Amos:

And that isn't the life I want to live. For me, it's about ease and

Melissa Amos:

flow and safety and being. Feeling this

Melissa Amos:

grounded, connected, protected. And the Ferrari, however much I

Melissa Amos:

would want it, which I don't really, but if I did,

Melissa Amos:

if it doesn't fit in with that. Yeah. If it doesn't fit in with that

Melissa Amos:

lifestyle, the universe now has two things going

Melissa Amos:

on. Yeah. Now could I do the work on myself? So I do feel safe

Melissa Amos:

having the Ferrari, probably. But right now, where I am, those two

Melissa Amos:

things are so disjointed

Melissa Amos:

that I'm glad that one never appeared on my driveway.

Beth Hewitt:

Yeah. And I think this happens all the time, isn't it? This is

Beth Hewitt:

misalignment. There's something going on in the subconscious that is

Beth Hewitt:

counter to the thing that we think we want. I want to be a

Beth Hewitt:

successful businesswoman. My family might not like me anymore, whatever that is.

Beth Hewitt:

There's all of these things. I want to be in a loving relationship. I always

Beth Hewitt:

get hurt. There's always these mixed messages going on all the time.

Beth Hewitt:

And I think sitting down and thinking about what it is that

Beth Hewitt:

you want. And then also knowing

Beth Hewitt:

these beliefs that we hold is a really powerful thing to

Beth Hewitt:

go through. But we have to set that time. We have to do that. We

Beth Hewitt:

have to identify what that is. And sometimes we might

Beth Hewitt:

realize during that process that the Ferrari isn't the thing

Beth Hewitt:

that we actually do want. I've been thinking more and more. I've always seen myself

Beth Hewitt:

as somebody who's been quite ambitious, but lately I've been like, I just think I'll

Beth Hewitt:

enjoy being a mum. And I just think I want to be a grandma

Beth Hewitt:

and just knit. And these are the things now I'm thinking. I'm

Beth Hewitt:

thinking, like, I'm really happy with my life now. And

Beth Hewitt:

that's. I feel like that's enough right now. And these

Beth Hewitt:

ambitious feelings and thoughts that I had in my twenties, I'm now

Beth Hewitt:

thinking I can still have all of these nice things, but I'm more

Beth Hewitt:

comfortable and happy. I just love being family is more

Beth Hewitt:

important to me than a mansion. And I think we. I

Beth Hewitt:

don't know, sometimes I think I feel like people are striving for things and is

Beth Hewitt:

it actually what they want? If you thought about. I heard

Melissa Amos:

this once, I can't remember what I was listening to. Some podcast or another,

Melissa Amos:

probably, and they said something like, if there was no people left in the world,

Melissa Amos:

would you still want the car that you drive

Melissa Amos:

and the house that you think no people, if there was no one

Melissa Amos:

judging, you wouldn't want the big mansion, would you? Or would

Melissa Amos:

you like, just go and pick the nice, perfectly

Melissa Amos:

sized. This is just a manageable garden and

Beth Hewitt:

the nice neighbors and a clean that. You don't have to pay

Melissa Amos:

500 pounds a week for because she's got so many things.

Melissa Amos:

And it is really interesting. And I was thinking, still drive the car

Melissa Amos:

I want. Because the car I love is I'm a car

Melissa Amos:

person. I've grown up with it. It's comfy and it's safe and it's. And it's

Melissa Amos:

a little bit sexy too. But there's a lot of things. It put things in

Melissa Amos:

perspective. Would I. Do I need all of these things? Why are we making this

Melissa Amos:

choice? And this doesn't mean you can't have nice

Melissa Amos:

things. It doesn't. And sometimes we want nice things

Melissa Amos:

and I think that we deserve to have nice things. And

Melissa Amos:

I think part of the human experience is so that we can

Melissa Amos:

feel luxury and the sensuality and all of

Melissa Amos:

these emotions and sensations. But

Melissa Amos:

if we really get honest with ourselves about maybe I

Melissa Amos:

don't want more. And in the business world, it's a real trap.

Melissa Amos:

In the business world we can be like, oh, okay, I'm here. I was

Melissa Amos:

talking to my coach about this the other day. I said I am where

Melissa Amos:

I wanted to be. I'm actually further along where I wanted to be. And then

Melissa Amos:

the year before, I was further along than where I wanted to be. Does that

Melissa Amos:

mean that I need to want more now? Yeah. No,

Melissa Amos:

it doesn't. Especially in the business world. It's all

Beth Hewitt:

scaling and six k years, seven k years, how to

Beth Hewitt:

do this, how to do that and. Yeah, is it actually what you want? Because

Beth Hewitt:

with that comes lots of other things. Responsibilities and builds and

Beth Hewitt:

teams and automations and all of that. I actually think that when we

Beth Hewitt:

stop striving, I'm not saying don't have a vision because

Beth Hewitt:

obviously that's the world that I'm in. Don't have something that you want to go

Beth Hewitt:

for. But I think when you take the pressure off, the need to

Beth Hewitt:

strive, you actually make it easier to have more nice things because you're

Beth Hewitt:

no longer in that energy of, I need to reach

Beth Hewitt:

this next milestone. I need to do all of the things, oh, it's not happening.

Beth Hewitt:

So now I need to work even harder to get this. When we take the

Beth Hewitt:

pressure off and go, actually, I'm really happy right now with where I'm at, with

Beth Hewitt:

my life, with the balance, with the income, with my family,

Beth Hewitt:

with the things that bring me joy. I'm really happy. I can just experience

Beth Hewitt:

and experience more of this and being in that space

Beth Hewitt:

of just having full gratitude and appreciation for all of that.

Beth Hewitt:

Where you are right now in the present, you attract more of that nice stuff,

Beth Hewitt:

and sometimes that's an upgrade, just naturally the new car

Beth Hewitt:

or the new house, but it's not. I need

Beth Hewitt:

to reach a million pounds before I can have the mansion. It's a

Beth Hewitt:

different energy, it's a different space, and

Beth Hewitt:

I don't know where it is. I think we're just raised on this

Beth Hewitt:

energy of, you have to do your best, you have to get good

Beth Hewitt:

grades, you have to go to university, you have to have the nice house. You

Beth Hewitt:

need to keep up with the Joneses that we forget to

Beth Hewitt:

check in with us. What do we want? Yes,

Beth Hewitt:

what do we want? It's an

Melissa Amos:

interesting concept. If we start to think about, am I

Melissa Amos:

manifesting from the space of fear? I want to have this

Melissa Amos:

because that's what they do. I need to have this so that I am

Melissa Amos:

comfortable in my retirement, because I don't want to run out of money. I need

Melissa Amos:

to have this so that I can pay my bills if something happens,

Melissa Amos:

or blah, blah, blah, I need to make more, because what if this

Melissa Amos:

stops? What if there's tomorrow? What if nobody wants to

Melissa Amos:

buy my things or my employer tells me I'm not employed anymore or whatever?

Melissa Amos:

I need to have this car because then people

Melissa Amos:

will respect me. All of that is really coming from this

Melissa Amos:

fear based. It's coming from lack,

Melissa Amos:

right? Which is fine, and it

Melissa Amos:

works. But if we're feeling that sense of lack and

Melissa Amos:

even lack of connection to my spirit team, I'm feeling that sense of lack in

Melissa Amos:

any way. It's important to notice that and go, okay, that's interesting, that this

Melissa Amos:

fearsome happening. Because if I believe in the law of attraction,

Melissa Amos:

then I do believe that we live in an abundant world and that there's everything

Melissa Amos:

available to us. And now we've identified this discord.

Melissa Amos:

Okay, I believe that, but I don't really believe that because I'm manifesting

Melissa Amos:

from this. And so then our job is to begin to bring the

Melissa Amos:

healing and the understanding, and where did that programming come from and where

Melissa Amos:

did I find that belief? What makes me think that I can't have this and

Melissa Amos:

this, or it has to be this or this, and we can start

Melissa Amos:

this self inquiry. This is that. Know thyself again. Because

Melissa Amos:

when we manifest from a sense of

Melissa Amos:

abundance, of joy, of what's possible,

Melissa Amos:

of sense of safety, from a sense of

Melissa Amos:

inspired thought, then nothing's going to stop us.

Melissa Amos:

I think what happens for many of us now I want to say this, the

Melissa Amos:

fear is a good thing because I think what happens for many of us, we

Melissa Amos:

get this inspired thought and we're like, oh,

Melissa Amos:

look at what is possible. I can go and do that. And we start

Melissa Amos:

to take the steps forward and then suddenly all the things that are stopping you

Melissa Amos:

moving there, the law of attraction is working with you going, you do not feel

Melissa Amos:

safe to do that. You can't do that. If you get here without

Melissa Amos:

sorting this out, then you're just not bad things going to happen.

Melissa Amos:

But you're going to have to deal with this at some point. And now you're

Melissa Amos:

moving forward. If you're in your comfort zone, the fear thing will

Melissa Amos:

never have come up. I move two, three steps forward, bang.

Melissa Amos:

Oh, my God. What if everyone comes and takes your money away from you? Or

Melissa Amos:

what if. Or, well, I need to make sure that, blah, blah, blah. I

Melissa Amos:

need to now scale from six k months to ten k months to

Melissa Amos:

20k months to 6 million months. I need to do that. When that

Melissa Amos:

comes up, then it's our job, okay? How do I regulate? How do I understand

Melissa Amos:

myself? What's really going on here? What are my intentions? What is it that

Melissa Amos:

I want to really receive? And then you're in

Melissa Amos:

this path of least resistance. Then you don't have the bungee rope

Melissa Amos:

all knotted up behind you going, you can

Melissa Amos:

go this far, but not too far because your family will

Melissa Amos:

reject you or you'll be too big for your boots or everyone

Melissa Amos:

will come and expect things from you or your partner will

Melissa Amos:

leave you or whatever it is. Don't ignore it.

Melissa Amos:

By ignoring it, you're not high vibing your way out of it, you're just

Melissa Amos:

keeping the bungee rope tight. Yeah,

Beth Hewitt:

I think as well, consistency with that. I think

Beth Hewitt:

sometimes we're onto a good thing, especially in business. You

Beth Hewitt:

might achieve something, you might have a, you know, massive success,

Beth Hewitt:

and then all of a sudden you think, right now I need the next thing,

Beth Hewitt:

a new thing. I need to evolve into something else,

Beth Hewitt:

3.0 version of what I've just done, when

Beth Hewitt:

it's actually just enjoy what has just

Beth Hewitt:

happened and create some level of consistency around it.

Beth Hewitt:

If it worked and you enjoyed it and it was easy and there wasn't any

Beth Hewitt:

resistance, then why would you not want to do

Beth Hewitt:

more of that? And you can still tweak it. We naturally evolve

Beth Hewitt:

anyway, like you were saying right at the beginning, the first time you did your

Beth Hewitt:

challenge, it was a very, even though it was the same challenge, I'm

Beth Hewitt:

sure you've changed it as you've been going along, but even though the premise of

Beth Hewitt:

it is the same, we have naturally

Beth Hewitt:

evolved. You have naturally evolved just by going

Beth Hewitt:

through the motions a number of times and having that level of consistency. You're better

Beth Hewitt:

at what you do today because you've gone through those different

Beth Hewitt:

iterations, but you've stuck to the same message. And I think sometimes we're

Beth Hewitt:

so keen to just throw the baby out with the bathwater

Beth Hewitt:

and start something completely new

Beth Hewitt:

when actually we don't always need to

Beth Hewitt:

be striving for something so

Beth Hewitt:

different we can use and take

Beth Hewitt:

the same messages again. It's good to change, it's good

Beth Hewitt:

to shake things up. But there's also something that comes with a level of

Beth Hewitt:

consistency. When you look at anything that we do consistently,

Beth Hewitt:

we have that snowball compound

Beth Hewitt:

effect and it is by its very nature

Beth Hewitt:

different because we're different. We've evolved, the practice has evolved. We've got

Beth Hewitt:

better at what we're doing. This works. So now I'm just going to keep on

Melissa Amos:

doing this and I can't change anything. And that is coming from this.

Melissa Amos:

Control energy. Control energy

Melissa Amos:

isn't. It comes from lack. I need to do everything because

Melissa Amos:

I don't trust that the universe is going to help me grow and help me

Melissa Amos:

expand. And if something comes and throws

Melissa Amos:

itself in my way, it means

Melissa Amos:

I shouldn't be doing this or I'm not good enough or there we go. It

Melissa Amos:

proved my point. My feeling is the universe doesn't work this

Melissa Amos:

way. And this comes back to how safe do I feel in my

Melissa Amos:

connection and my growth and my evolution. I'm never going to evolve if you don't

Melissa Amos:

feel safe in who you are or who you're

Melissa Amos:

becoming. And so there's a huge conversation around that.

Melissa Amos:

But if we start with this, this is what I was saying in the practice

Melissa Amos:

group, we've done a lot of work this week and they're like, they're very intense

Melissa Amos:

because we're there every day and we're doing these tasks and we're growing and we're

Melissa Amos:

growing and it's. You didn't get to the end here and now I'm going to

Melissa Amos:

give you a certificate of life going, there we go. Hit your

Melissa Amos:

connection. Your higher self is now your bestie buddy.

Melissa Amos:

And this is. You don't need to. That's it. Like the graduation. Yeah.

Melissa Amos:

No, it's this consistency and this persistency. How

Melissa Amos:

do I keep on going even when it's tough, or how do I keep

Melissa Amos:

on going even when it's easy? Because then we're like, oh, life is great, I'm

Melissa Amos:

stopped. No, we need. It's a practice. All of this manifestation is

Melissa Amos:

a practice. You're cultivating. Peace is a practice.

Melissa Amos:

Feeling safe in your body is a practice. And why is it called a

Melissa Amos:

practice? Because you've got to practice it. You can't just do it while you

Melissa Amos:

can't go on the retreat. I'm buzzing. And

Melissa Amos:

then never do any work again. Yeah,

Beth Hewitt:

unfortunately. Yeah, unfortunately. That would be nice, wouldn't it?

Melissa Amos:

Right Uniruv. I've done the work. I went on the course. Look at how much

Melissa Amos:

money I paid. I've got this, like, image of like a british

Beth Hewitt:

gas when they come out and service the boilers. You don't need to do any

Beth Hewitt:

work anymore because, like, the spiritual serviceman's going to come out and just check that

Beth Hewitt:

you're at the right levels. Like, your intuition and your connection is just. You're all

Beth Hewitt:

dialed in. I have this, I work with a

Melissa Amos:

Shaolin master, and he really does push me.

Melissa Amos:

And we've had a bit of a break for a while because he needs to

Melissa Amos:

go off and do it on his own. And I saw him yesterday and we

Melissa Amos:

were talking about this exact thing, and I was like,

Melissa Amos:

because he gave me some practices to do and I was doing the practices, but

Melissa Amos:

these aren't like immediate result things. These are the tasks that you do

Melissa Amos:

something. Oh, wow. I've got these energetic kind of

Melissa Amos:

these things and I was doing them very well and then wasn't seeing

Melissa Amos:

massive changes. And I was like, I don't know what I was expecting, like some

Melissa Amos:

certificate to come down from heaven

Melissa Amos:

being fireworks and celebrations. He said

Melissa Amos:

to me, I can write you a certificate if you want.

Melissa Amos:

I just need, I just. For me, I just needed that.

Melissa Amos:

I think it was August last time I saw him. I was like, I just

Melissa Amos:

needed that revisit so that I know

Melissa Amos:

where I am. And then I could see, see when I let that practice

Melissa Amos:

fall, how I started to slip back and I could see

Melissa Amos:

it very clearly, whereas where I was seeing him consistently,

Melissa Amos:

I could see the upward and sometimes downward, but mainly

Melissa Amos:

the upward growth. And that was a big realization for me

Melissa Amos:

yesterday, that I do the work,

Melissa Amos:

but it's the work I'm resisting and I do.

Beth Hewitt:

Yeah. The work I'm resisting that needs the

Melissa Amos:

persistence. I love that. And I love that you had that

Beth Hewitt:

conversation yesterday as well. So everyone who's listening, this

Melissa Amos:

is your job. We find a practice. Start with one that you love

Melissa Amos:

or that you enjoy or that, you know works or that, you know, your

Melissa Amos:

mentor or whatever. There's plenty of practices that Beth

Melissa Amos:

and I can share with you and start

Melissa Amos:

it. And when it gets too hard or difficult or something comes up, that's

Melissa Amos:

not the universe telling you to stop, that the universe is saying to

Melissa Amos:

you, here we go. Well done. You've got this far. Now

Melissa Amos:

you're strong enough to work with this thing that's come up and work with it

Melissa Amos:

and just keep coming back to do I

Melissa Amos:

feel safe? And your body will tell you straight away whether you feel

Melissa Amos:

safe in that or not. Love that. Good advice. Okay,

Beth Hewitt:

Mel, until next time. Until next time. Have a super

Melissa Amos:

day.
