Shownotes

Have you ever stepped out in faith, believing you were doing the right thing, only to be met with silence, rejection, or failure?

It’s discouraging. Maybe you felt confident about the path ahead… until no one showed up, the idea fell flat, or the doors didn’t open.

And when that happens, it’s easy to wonder: Was I wrong? Did I miss God’s voice? Or… is He done with this?

We might have an idea that we think is great… but it just bombs. No one is interested or the pieces aren’t falling into place. So we are tempted to give up. But before we do that… let’s read Luke 9:1‑5.

In this Anchor Point we explore:

  • Why rejection doesn’t always mean we’re off‑track
  • How to interpret “no welcome” in a way that strengthens instead of silences
  • What it looks like to “shake the dust off your feet” (metaphorically) and keep going in faith

Scripture:

“If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” (Luke 9:5 NIV)

💬 Want to talk about it more?

When was the last time you felt unwelcomed or rejected in something you believed God asked you to do?

How did you respond? Did you walk away in disappointment, or did you shake off the dust and keep walking in faith?

Let’s talk about how we respond—to the “no,” to the unexpected “yes,” to the moment our faith feels tried. 👉Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook
