Originally from WB, Samuel moved to New Delhi to serve and minister to people, using the gifts God has given him through his songs, worship, and meaningful conversations. His heart is to encourage others, strengthen their faith, and help them draw closer to God.

Samuel is married to his wonderful, talented, and God-fearing wife, Benjina Biswakarma. Together, they continue to serve God and walk faithfully in the purpose He has placed before them.

What part of the world are you in today?

Oh, right now I'm in Delhi, New Delhi, India.

How did you come to meet Jesus?

My parents, they come from a Hindu family and it was not easy for them.

And my dad and my grandfather, they both were priests.

And when I say priest, it is very, very, you know, strong word as a religious, you know, leaders, I would say, no?

And my grandfather was a very powerful man and he has some, you know, black magics or, you know, which magic, which doctor I can say, you know.

So all those things, he was involved also, you know.

And a lot of people, they used to come to our home, making lines, you know, for healing, for deliverance, for a lot of things, for just to know their future.

And sometimes a spouse, a lot of things.

And my grandfather used to do all those things.

But then one day, my aunt, she got very, very ill, very, very severely.

And they took her to doctors and all the medicals and they did everything, every treatment possible, they did it.

But then doctors failed.

They said, we are so sorry, we don't know what happened to her.

We have no answer in the science.

Just she has 15 days now.

She was very, very thin now, she was very, very weak at that point of time.

And they gave her 15 days and said, take her home so that she, you know, last days of her, you know, life, she will spend some time at home.

So she was at home and living her days.

But then my dad and my grandfather, they were a little bit, you know, upset in their hearts, asking questions to themselves that we have done a lot of things for others.

And why we could not do this for our own daughter.

But dad, especially, you know, he loved the sisters very much, you know, and he was like very, very upset.

And that point of time, my grandfather also went to, you know, he also passed away.

And my dad was all alone.

And now there's 15 days he's waiting what will happen.

But then he heard somewhere that there is a name of Jesus, you know, if you take that name, there is power in the name of Jesus.

My dad was, but no, I cannot do that.

Because he was a religious leader and he cannot do that.

And it's, it's very, very difficult for him to take a decision like that.

But then he went and he went to the pastor and said, pastor, would you come to our home and pray for my sister?

Pastor immediately said, no.

You know, pastor immediately said, no, I cannot.

There was a reason behind that.

Because my grandfather and my father, they used to persecute pastors and leaders.

And months back, you know, previous month, my dad was one who beat this pastor.

And now he is asking that same pastor to come and pray.

And that pastor said, no, I cannot do that.

I cannot come.

But then, you know, the power of Holy Spirit, that pastor slept at night and Holy Spirit stirred his heart.

You know, he could not sleep at night.

Amazing.

And Holy Spirit said, you have to go.

You have to go.

You have to go.

And that pastor, early in the morning, he came, you know, early in the morning, 5 a.m. he came to our home.

He knocked and my dad up.

Oh, he was surprised to see that guy.

And he came and he only stayed for 10 minutes at our home, only 10 minutes.

Five minutes, he shared about, Jesus said, if you believe in Christ, he came 2,000 years back and all those things, you know, gospel he shared.

And in five minutes, he prayed and he immediately left.

But then something happened, you know, doctor gave only 15 days.

You won't believe, my aunt is still alive.

It was 40 years, 42 years back, exactly.

Amazing.

My aunt is still alive.

And that point of time, my dad, like, oh, wow, this man did nothing.

He didn't ask any money.

He didn't do anything, you know, ritualistic thing.

He just came and he prayed in the name of Jesus.

My dad had that curiosity now to understand what happened, how to, you know, what is this power?

Because my power is useless now.

You know, my aunt started, like, she was like now jumping.

And just to make this story short, my father accepted Christ, whole family accepted Christ.

Now we are 12 pastors in my family.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Yeah.

From, you know, it is like 180 degrees turn, shift, whole shift for our family.

Now my dad side, everybody is a believer.

My mom's side, everybody is believer.

I, myself, I'm a pastor.

My story is, again, something very big.

But then we are 12 pastors at our home serving.

We have 25 churches we have been serving in that region of India.

Amazing.

How did your English get as good as it is?

I don't feel my English is that good.

But your English is pristine.

Yes, you're flowing clean.

Like I had someone from Costa Rica this morning who has only been learning English for one year, right?

So it was challenging.

But you're not only speaking English clearly, but you're understanding English even clearer.

So how did it get this good?

Oh, this is because of you.

Do you know about Compassion International?

I don't know.

I've never heard of it.

So Compassion International is a ministry.

So again, that has a story behind that also.

Because when my dad accepted Christ, now this religious leader, they came against my dad.

And my whole family was thrown out of my village because we accepted Christ.

We had to leave every privilege that we had previously, which was a luxurious life.

We have to leave everything.

And now when we left everything, we had nothing.

We were struggling for our studies as well.

My parents were like, you know, they were believers, but then they were not earning good.

But then this ministry came along.

Compassion International is an American ministry.

They came along and they taught me.

So all my schooling was done by them.

Wow.

So because of them, a little bit, I speak English.

But then, by the way, I speak seven languages.

Wow.

How old are you now?

I'm 30, 31 now.

Wow.

What a blessing.

Wow.

So tell me, what's on the horizon for you?

What's the thing you're working on right now?

So me and my wife, we both came to Delhi and God spoke to us to start a plant a church in Delhi.

So we left everything again there and we came 1500 kilometers.

So Delhi is the capital of India.

It's a small state, but then people with 30 million people in the city.

And God gave us a vision and we started a church.

It's a very, very new church.

It's been only two years we have started a church here.

And in two years we have 40, 45 people coming in our church.

And God has been using us in a mighty way.

We are also a worship leader.

We write songs, I write songs, produce music videos on all those.

And a few of our songs are like in, I think 6 million, 7 million on YouTube.

And those things we are doing as a part of ministry.

I'm by the way, a full-time pastor.

What is the word Christ is placing on your heart for this season?

The thing that God has been speaking to me is, you know, the scripture that recently I was reading was God speaks to Jesus saying, this is my son and I am well pleased with him, you know, by him.

I am not good in English version, but then my version says I'm well pleased by him because he's my son.

And I was reading that and God was speaking to me and he was saying, you do a lot of events.

You are an event-oriented guy.

You're always programming anything, always planning things, you know.

If you don't do anything, I'm happy with you because you are my son.

Son is always son, you know.

And he reminded about me the story of Christ.

You know, Jesus lived 33 and a half years and he only did ministry for three and a half years.

30 years he was doing nothing, only one miracle, the wedding of Canaan.

And when he was baptized, God spoke to him and said, I'm happy with you.

I was like surprised, Lord, he did nothing in 30 years.

You know, sons, God is looking for sons.

So that's what I'm now preparing myself, sons.

That gives you a lot of grace to operate within when you understand that he loves you no matter what, doesn't it?

Yes, exactly.

I would love to know when you're listening to this five years from today, what's a message you'd like to leave for future you?

You know, be your best.

You are the unique one called by God.

Age and time will pass away, but the love of Christ will never.

So come as you are, I would say.
