Lea Thompson joins us for a Beyond the Mic Short Cut. From iconic roles to 'The Spencer Sisters,' delve into her acting journey and passion. Tune in for insights on ballet, life moments, and giving back.

Welcome Lea Thompson:

We’re joined on the Starline by actress, dancer, singer, director and the best job of all mom. You’ve seen her in a computer game, “Murder, Anyone”, Some Kind of Wonderful and the Back to the Future trilogy. Her latest project is portraying Victoria Spencer in CW’s “The Spencer Sisters”. We welcome Lea Thompson.

Lea, let’s go Beyond the Mic. You’ve acted sang, danced ballet, and been a mom to two children in Hollywood yet you always come back to acting. How does “The Spencer Sisters” sooth that acting itch you have?

Your character Victoria Spencer is a mystery novelist turned detective. You are writing a book of essays. How easy is it to channel your inner novelist into your character?

You said The Spencer Sisters is “Murder She Wrote” meets the “Gilmore Girls”. So what’s the best thing about Stacey Farber and the team?

The Rockin' 8:

It’s time for the Rockin’ 8, 8 random questions, answer with the first thing that comes to your mind. There is no Pressure.

1. Favorite ballet to watch and dance in?

2. Coffee or tea or juice to start your day?

3. Favorite place to vacation?

4. Who was the one teacher that changed your life?

5. Best thing you’ve ever created?

6. Favorite Broadway show you’ve seen?

7. Best gift your kids gave you growing up?

8. You lost your big dog Gushy a year ago. What makes the love of a dog so special?

Sneaking in One More:

You once said having a weird mom builds character. How has your own job as a mom built character for Zoey and Madelyn?

One Big Question:

You believe in helping charities including breast cancer, mental health and Alzheimer's. Why is giving back so important to your soul?

The Wrap:

She loves watching Sleeping Beauty, performing cabaret and wants you to watch the “Spencer Sisters” on the CW. Lea Thompson thanks for taking the time to talk with us today.

And that my friends is a Beyond the Mic Short Cut.
