Lack of available credit will result in investors having less money to pay for assets. Conversely, when credit is freely available, then investors will be flush with cash ready to bid the price of assets up and up.
The ebb and flow of the availability of credit will create a self-fulfilling prophecy where property prices will surge and then be subject to stagnation or decline depending on the availability of credit.
