Enola Holmes has spent her first sixteen years with her mother Eudoria. Her days have been full of fun and learning, from reading every book in their library to sports and martial arts. With her two brothers absent (Sherlock and Mycroft), Eudoria isn't just Enola's mother, but her best friend. When Enola wakes up on her sixteenth birthday she finds her mother missing without a trace apart from a small birthday present. Enola goes on an adventurous search in 1900 England to find her mother that ends up being more important than she realizes.
