Sweet T: All right, we're back at it with another one. Fantasy island. I got bombo, I got king, and today we're talking about bounce back players. These guys are gonna be considered the rubber. They had a bad season last year and they're gonna bounce back this year. Who's gonna call it out? King and Bombo. We're gonna call out those guys who you should probably draft because they shit the bed last year, but this year they're gonna do something better. I'm gonna go ahead and lead it off with Bombo today bombo, talk to us about your bounce back players.
Bombo: I am gonna start off with a couple of guys at the running back position who obviously did not perform how they should have performed last year. For their owners. One was more performance based, one was just pure drama, and I'm gonna go with Najee Harris and Cam Makers Najee Harris is in a system with a coach who believes in his players and for the Steelers, they didn't go out there and sign any other running backs.
They brought in Alan Robinson. I think the Steelers are going forward with Kenny Pickett. They're trying to see what they have there. And you know, the Steelers are never really out of games. Najee Harris runs hard. He's dedicated I think that a lot of people were taking him as a top five back last year.
And he like, like we say, he shit the bed. He did not produce like a top five back. He wasn't catching any touchdowns. He had no receptions. I think last year was the outlier year. We see the Najee Harris bounce back and when it comes to cam makers, I think it was all mental, and I think it was behind the scenes drama that was preventing him from producing on the field.
This guy just came off of a Super Bowl win, came back, went through an off season, what, from what I'm hearing, was balling out in practice and was showing it. And they kept on going to Darrell Henderson and splitting that backfield. And Darryl Henderson was just plotting away. Cat makers obviously had an issue with that.
He had a falling out with the organization and it led to him potentially getting traded to, he's just inactive to, we're gonna take it one step at a time to now this guy's on commercials and he's Mr. Ram and he's happy, and Darrell Henderson is out there trying to look for a job. So I got both these running backs bouncing back, and at the quarterback position, Deshaun Watson, it's only so long before we're gonna be seeing the Deshaun Watson of Old, I think this is the year they do it. He has two receivers. He has a quality tied end, and he has a running game and an offensive line.
This is Deshaun Watson. I. Is gonna prove that he's worth the money. And those five or six games that we've seen of him last year was an outlier. This is not who Deshaun Watson is. Deshaun Watson is a quarterback that might be, he might not be the greatest person, but he is a quarterback. What are you think King?
King: I like all your picks, mbo. I really liked all these guys. I liked what was going on. I'm just concerned about Deshaun Watson. I'm concerned about him getting back to that Houston Texan form, you know, but I'm really curious to see what they do with him and how they, they set him up for success again this year.
I hope they do that. They got him some weapons, so hopefully, you know, he can really do what he needs to do to get himself and solidify him back as one of those top guys. When we were looking at the list, obviously my list was pretty deep and I had to break it up, but my runner up guy was Deandre Swift.
You know, Deandre Swift was the first round guy last year. A guy who was just the last couple years was so high expectation outta Detroit, but always got hurt, never did anything there. Had big flashes, but just couldn't keep the consistency up. And you know what? Really Detroit got tired of them. I think that's usually what happens with these guys.
They get a change of scenery and then that next level blow up happens. I'm hoping he does that this year. In Philly, they got a really good offensive line. His backup is Rashad Penney. So you know there's an injury there. I like me some Deandre Swift where you can get him. He is definitely graph value, but I think my bounce back player dude, and I think one of the guys that I'm gonna be looking at the target late in the draft and not wasting draft capital on this position.
Quarterback and I'm liking me some. Derek Carr. I like Derek Carr's move. I like the fact that he just said, fuck it last year. I am not into this. I do not wanna run this system. I'm not gonna start over in my football career. And he went somewhere that's gonna cater to him and his talents and he went to New Orleans again at the time of this recording, we've already watched the first New Orleans preseason game and he looked tight in the first game. You got a rejuvenated group of people over there that feel like possibly they could win. Now they have above average defense, so he's gonna be much better placed than he was the la his whole career in the Raiders. 'cause he is got a defense behind him and he's got a rejuvenated look like a little rejuvenation with Alvin Cmra. Sure he is got a three game suspension, but they drafted this kid, Kendra Miller also, and this kid's right on his ass. So I think Alvin Camaro's gonna have a big year, but it's all gonna be because of Derek Carr. All these, these receivers are gonna be viable. Again. Mike Thomas, crystal LA's gonna take a step and to have a backup like Jamis Winston there is huge for a guy like Derek Carr because he knows, Hey dude, even if I go down a game, these guys are still gonna be able to do it. So to me, I like me some Derek Carr this year. He's my bounce back player. If you look at it, the last maybe three years ago, he was in those fantasy talks as may possibly be in that top tier. He was up there right in those talks before Josh Allen started turning it around and those guys, so just remember the Derek Carr name at the end of the season.

Sweet T: I gotta say King, I love the Derek car. Take I. Definitely agree with you wholeheartedly on that one, and I think you hit it really well when you said Olave is gonna take a big step with Derek Carr, throwing him the ball. I believe the same thing, but I'm gonna throw out one name at you as a Bounceback player and I'm gonna stick with the Raiders and I'm going Darren Waller.
He's with the Giants right now. He's in a situation where he's not gonna be disgruntled. I mean, this guy was not happy with what was going on over there in Las Vegas. And I really think that he's going to shine. We're gonna see what he, you know, the player that he was before he supposedly got hurt and was out most of the season.
So I really like me some Darren Waller over there with the Giants.
Bombo: And as a Raider fan for both those picks, once you leave the Raiders organization, you ball out.
