SUMMARY:

There is a sense that the Lord is opening up a greater anointing in the Spirit. He promised to make all things new. The expectation must be with us to experience things that we have not known before. We stir up our faith to reach into it.

SHOW NOTES:

  • We need a fresh anointing and a renewed awareness of His presence.

  • We're seeking something that is beyond anything we have known in the past.

  • Look for a whole new spiritual experience, which could mean not holding on to what you had in the past.

  • Keep knocking, keep seeking and become expectant like children.

QUOTATIONS:

  • It's the Holy Spirit revealing things that we've been waiting for, but we're so conditioned to keep waiting that we don't reach into it.

  • We just open up our spirit and we just receive the Holy Spirit.

  • I think this is something brand new; it's making things available that have not been available.

  • Lord, discomfort me with the next thing You're going to reveal to me. Please don't let us stagnate where we are.

  • The Lord is putting in us this childlike spirit where we're spontaneous; we're reaching for that new thing.

  • It means we start here, we start at zero, and we begin to learn and receive of the Lord in a new way.

  • Be expectant that all of our other experiences may not just be improvements of what we've already done, but may be so radically different that at first it confronts us.

REFERENCES:

John 14:16-17

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

Luke 18:8

“I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

John 14:26

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you”

Ezekiel 11:19

“And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them. And I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.”

Revelation 21:5

And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

Philippians 3:13-14

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

TAKE AWAY:

The Lord is filling us with Himself more and more. The Father will get what He wants—that we can meet with Him and listen and appropriate and receive a whole new God that we never knew before.

Ken:

It totally involves our faith to reach in and to this day of anointing, which is what? What is the anointing? It's the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit revealing things that we've been waiting for, but we're so conditioned to keep waiting that we don't reach into it. It's the outpouring of the Spirit.

How do we reach into it? How have we ever reached into anything? By faith. I go back into Jude. What was Jude talking about when he said, well, will He find faith in the earth when He comes? Talking about the faith? Honestly, this is something that we honestly, very badly need in this day, and that's the anointing. That anointing is in the Spirit and is available.

Roger:

Something has been turned loose of the pouring out of the Spirit of the Lord. It remains for each of us to lift up our spirit and begin just to receive of what God is pouring out. It is happening. There is an anointing, there is a pouring out of His Spirit.

Debbie:

We just open up our spirit and we just receive the Holy Spirit. Receive the power of the Holy Spirit. Don't have to do anything.

Ken:

I think this is something brand new. It's making things available that have not been available.

Roger:

There is a fresh anointing and it is coming and Ken you keep saying a faith endeavor? It's the thing of appropriation. There's an appropriating with our spirit, but like you said, Deb, that's not hard. It's just opening our hearts. And what Ken said, we reach with faith expecting to receive and we meet the Lord in it.

It's not hard and we can't make it hard. It's just open your heart with faith. Lift up your heart and receive. Go at it like a little child.

Bill:

Expect something new. Lord, discomfort me with something new. Discomfort me with the next thing You're going to reveal to me. Please don't let us stagnate where we are.

We expect that there's a way that we can be open to - expect that the next thing - don't let us settle for where we are.

Ken:

What breaks the yoke of today? Is it more understanding on a human level, or is it the anointing that brings fresh revelation? It's by revelation. It's not by understanding. You can teach all day long and you won't get anywhere, but you open your spirit to the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the revelation begins to flow.

Peter found that out. He had a revelation of the Lord that the Father gave him. Flesh and blood didn't reveal that. Nothing of this human nature revealed that. It was God that revealed it to Peter. That same spirit is ministering to us today.

Pat:

The Lord is putting in us this childlike spirit where we're spontaneous. There's a spontaneous joy. There's a spontaneous speaking. We're determining not to live in the past, but we're people of Spirit. We live in Spirit. We're reaching for that new thing.

Roger:

Don't take a piece of garment or cloth or material and try to sew it onto an old garment. It'll tear - will not match. It won't look the same.

If we expect God to meet us in a continuation of what we've known. If we expect this to be a continuation of that, just a little better, we're never gonna have it. You take a new piece of material and stick it on a, you know, the old garment says it will not look right. It will not match. It's different that there is something in us of laying aside everything we thought, everything we have known, not just think we've known.

If we think that doesn't apply to us, we're in twice the trouble because we think we know things. We think we know. Well I've been taught for 50 years, so and so - doesn't matter. It's not that anything we've ever heard has been wrong, but God is elevating it up. One small example, the word came about Israel coming out of natural Egypt and the, and the prophecy was out of Egypt I call my son. Okay? Then later on that same, same scriptures used in the New Testament referring to Jesus when they, you know, they went down to Egypt. You know, Mary and Joseph, and it was applied to Jesus out of Egypt. I call my Son. Two completely different fulfillment's and revelations of the same scripture.

Was the scripture wrong the first time? No. It was elevated to mean something else. To have a, a greater revelation, meaning. And it's the way it is with the things we've been taught. Nothing has been wrong. If we clinging to it on that level, we'll never see. Will be like those Pharisees saying, I see. And Jesus says, well then your sin remains because you say you see. How blessed are those who don't see, because then they will see.

That's true. If we've come to a new place, it means we're starting over. In a new place and all things - that's the prophecy of, was it Isaiah? I have made all things new. We're having an experience and a reality of that now. All things are made new. It means we start here, we start at zero, and we begin to learn and receive of the Lord in a new way.

Bill:

Those people in the original Pentecost. For them, it was totally different. It was what we would call a new thing or a new day. We're kind of caught in the thing of like, oh, it's Pentecost. Now we're gonna get tongues plus something new. Be expectant that all of our other experiences may not just be improvements of what we've already done, but may be so radically different that at first it confronts us.

Dale:

We're believing more now than we've ever believed before because of the anointing of the heart of the Father to us. , He's filling us with Himself more and more. There's a time of tabernacles coming when His presence, His anointing will be greater than ever before. And our response, I have a broken spirit and a contrite heart that lifts my hands and rejoice and worship. The father will get what He wants. That we can meet with Him and be there and, and listen and appropriate and receive - a whole new God that we never knew before.
