We are talking Season 7 Episode 11, Adventures in Babysitting. What is vetala? Do they have anything to do with what we saw in this episode that we give the much desired rating of "fine"?

Transcripts

Jerk:

Welcome to this week's episode of Devil's Trap Podcast. I'm Diana.

Bitch:

Liz.

Jerk:

And this week we're talking Season 7, Episode 11, Adventures in Babysitting.

Bitch:

That we are, that we are. And there's no Elizabeth Shoo?

Jerk:

or Thor for that matter.

Bitch:

Or Thor. I really did love that movie as a child.

Jerk:

Same.

Bitch:

It was,

Jerk:

So good.

Bitch:

I think it was like it was a good girl adventure movie and there weren't a lot of them. So we're all just like, I just remember like her best friend, like I who I shockingly identified with the glasses like hugging and then what she thought was a kitty and it was a rat. And I'm just like, yeah, I could see that happening to me. I'm so

Jerk:

Ah

Bitch:

surprised it hasn't happened. Like, look at this possum.

Jerk:

I did get a did see a possum from a distance and got someone. Someone sent me a possum picture from their yard this week. So I'll

Bitch:

That

Jerk:

call that

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

good.

Bitch:

exciting.

Jerk:

Yeah, I'll take it. Yeah,

Bitch:

from a distance pattern.

Jerk:

hey, it's better than no possum.

Bitch:

Yeah, what else

Jerk:

Or

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

dead

Bitch:

going

Jerk:

or dead

Bitch:

on?

Jerk:

possum.

Bitch:

I heard Dad possum. What

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

else has been going on?

Jerk:

Just got back from Nashville and then immediately put on a car show and am going to be tired for the rest of my life from that because it was a lot. in a row. But now everything's good. It's just I was super busy. I had some great time seeing some really good music in Nashville and putting on some events, which is really cool. And then went and I came back to Dallas and put on our car show and it was super fucking hot, but it was a really great day. And yeah, that's my excitement here.

Bitch:

That's fun.

Jerk:

How about you know?

Bitch:

ll in San Antonio, we had the:

Jerk:

Hey,

Bitch:

like that's

Jerk:

you know,

Bitch:

and

Jerk:

it's amazing what people get starstruck by. Keep in mind

Bitch:

Yeah

Jerk:

I work in the music industry.

Bitch:

Yeah, and some of them were like, my friends, like, they just because we, you know, they have free beer at these things, like, so

Jerk:

Oh.

Bitch:

like, we may have drank a lot of free beer. There was also this one thing that was in a can, I don't even know what it was. But anyway, so we're sitting here watching like all these panels and it just doesn't matter where you are, what type of event it is, but as soon as you say I'm going to open this up to the audience for questions. It's just fucking it's ridiculous. And, you know, like it's

Jerk:

Conver.

Bitch:

as and when we've talked about on the show, like for various things, different musicians, whatever. But I did learn, you know, the paranormal group is a special a special Q&A session because it

Jerk:

I

Bitch:

would be

Jerk:

bet.

Bitch:

things like, you know, are there any questions for the audience? And then some be like. When I was three, a demon came into my house and took a pillow. Do you see the demon? He worth me now, like, or just

Jerk:

Huh.

Bitch:

like, whatever, like, do I have a gift? And just like these, like, I will say the people who were on, like either the panels or, you know, the speakers just like played it off, like fucking champs. So like that also I'm just like, that means you're getting these questions. all the time. Like this is like this is what you're what you were getting paid for is to answer these questions. And you know, like it's so like nobody asked like the questions about them, right? Like

Jerk:

That's interesting. It's all about the other people. That's

Bitch:

it's

Jerk:

interesting.

Bitch:

all about like the person who asking

Jerk:

Me, me,

Bitch:

the question

Jerk:

me.

Bitch:

and I'm just saying, you're so selfish.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

And I guess sometimes like, you know, like, if they because some of them were mediums, but I would even expect like, okay, like, hey, you're a medium, I want to ask you like this question. Like, you know, like, that, you know,

Jerk:

really to

Bitch:

is,

Jerk:

see

Bitch:

you

Jerk:

your

Bitch:

know,

Jerk:

life? I don't

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

know.

Bitch:

anybody have a message to send me like those type of like, that would make sense. Not

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

when I was seven, I was chased around by the ghost of like my aunt Fanny, you know. So

Jerk:

Is she still tasting me? I don't know. Yeah.

Bitch:

is she, yeah, is Aunt Fanny here? What is she, what's she upset about? You know, but, so it's still always, it's an interesting place, it's an interesting time. I got a, I bought a taxidermy duckling that looks like a witch. And it's, I bought it for my friend Duckie, but I kind of want to keep it. She's got a little hat on and she's little tiny pumpkins and little beans very soft And then I just now I feel kind of they it's like it's a very nice duck And I'm like oh

Jerk:

Aww.

Bitch:

man I hope you had a good life little duck like I don't know why you died so young and then I'm sort of feeling guilty For a little duck, but you know lucky to

Jerk:

Okay.

Bitch:

For a little duckling And then last, so like Paranormal Fuss was Saturday. And then the following Saturdays, we had a little weird shift in our recording schedule, was the, this Saturday was fall equinox. So, uh, autumnal season.

Jerk:

Yes.

Bitch:

So the bear collective down downtown San Antonio had a high priestess fair. that was the all they were a much younger, younger group of people. And it was cool. Like there is a bunch of like people doing, you know, different readings and stuff. Like in people, there was one chick though, man. Oh, my God. So she had she was like some sort of kitchen witch, but she had chocolate covered Oreos. She had these like little tin foil cans that were like filled with like brownies and ganache and like had little sprinkles on it. And then she had like whoopie pies. So.

Jerk:

Oh, uh oh.

Bitch:

Yeah, like that's like what I bought at the metaphysical fair. I was just like, I need all of this sugar. Thank you. And then Oh, and I got some basalts too for this place. But they're also there is like a woman who was selling like, you know, things to like wear around your waist when you run straighting. I'm sure there's some, you know, some I don't know. So I think she's had the

Jerk:

other thing.

Bitch:

I mean, I'm not, you know, shade on you. Like you want to do that, that's fine. But also like even there was one of this happened there and it happened at the other Paro festival and people who just seem like, don't I know you? And I'm like, you don't know me, bitch. Like, like, I don't know if it's a sales tactic or people. I really think people just think they know me. I'm like, wait, like, I think I have a doppelganger running around to like cause an evil or something.

Jerk:

I mean,

Bitch:

I have

Jerk:

it'll be

Bitch:

never

Jerk:

fun.

Bitch:

met you.

Jerk:

Do you want to meet it? I mean, it'll be fun.

Bitch:

It depends on what she's doing, like what if she's living a better life?

Jerk:

Well, you can trade.

Bitch:

That's true. Hate

Jerk:

Ahem.

Bitch:

Duffleganger. Yes. You want to do a leg. Well, that's what there was like. Do you want to do all the chores in my house that I'm not getting done? Very tired.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

All right, so speaking of we but we have lots of energy we are here to talk about

Jerk:

We have so

Bitch:

Inventors

Jerk:

much energy.

Bitch:

:

Jerk:

Those

Bitch:

maybe.

Jerk:

coming, yeah, they just got real, well, news is

Bitch:

The

Jerk:

they're

Bitch:

writer

Jerk:

going back to

Bitch:

strike,

Jerk:

work. They're going

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

back

Bitch:

writer,

Jerk:

to work.

Bitch:

but it will sat, that was writers not sacks. So we'll see. We're getting closer anyways, but I did see that he directed a couple of episodes of criminal minds without borders. which I did not know there was additional spin-offs of Criminal

Jerk:

Oh no.

Bitch:

Minds that I just finished. I finally, like last night, finished watching all of the Criminal

Jerk:

All of them.

Bitch:

Minds. And now I'm excited to learn there's more. Like, Diana is just like done with my text about these random episodes. The one that I really liked this weekend, there was a Baphomet and it was like this guy's illusion. It was a guy basically

Jerk:

It's hallucination.

Bitch:

in a Baphomet. mascot and it was just like literally looking like a mascot like a worn out something that

Jerk:

It

Bitch:

would

Jerk:

was

Bitch:

be

Jerk:

very

Bitch:

at

Jerk:

bizarre.

Bitch:

like your high school games and

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

i'm pretty sure but it's heat that the mascot said don't work at kyle like as he was like chopping somebody up it was so good

Jerk:

Yeah. Well, while I'm watching, you know, the newest season of Love is Blind, because

Bitch:

Thanks for watching!

Jerk:

that's my brain flow. A little different, a little different.

Bitch:

Yeah, and it was written by Adam Glass, who which is why this episode is there are some very great lines in it,

Jerk:

Oh yeah.

Bitch:

even though I may have described it to Diana as

Jerk:

That's fine.

Bitch:

It's fine.

Jerk:

Hey, I'll take a step so that's not a trip to Bumbersville and

Bitch:

Yeah,

Jerk:

it's not

Bitch:

after

Jerk:

totally

Bitch:

I think

Jerk:

a trip to Bumbersville

Bitch:

I'm sure

Jerk:

so that's

Bitch:

that

Jerk:

good.

Bitch:

like within the order like well, it has to start this the we start off with the recap reminding us that we're very upset

Jerk:

Yeah, we're very sad. But then our first scene opens up at a truck stop with a man eating at the diner, watching a trucker pick up a lot. Lizard, the proper term.

Bitch:

That is what I have written down. So

Jerk:

Perfect.

Bitch:

I will, I will say, but she is like, if she is a lot lizard, she is wearing and I was just like, where do you even buy these clothes? But obviously she is wearing what people in Hollywood think that a sex worker would wear in a truck stop parking lot.

Jerk:

inaccurate.

Bitch:

And I'm, and I'm not sure if you've ever been in a truck stop parking lot.

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

She ain't

Jerk:

no,

Bitch:

wearing that.

Jerk:

correct. But our guy in the restaurant tips his waitress, Marlene and leaves, and apparently tips her poorly because he tries to go follow this trucker and the lot lizard and they disappear. Well, then he started, his vision starts going wonky.

Bitch:

Whoa, whoa, whoa. So she takes a trucker past the truck and then has a sticker on it and says, if this rig is a rockin', don't come a knockin'.

Jerk:

Yes. But good old, good old boy that our, our lurker was watching them. They disappear. And then Marlene attacks him.

Bitch:

Okay, I also I just want to know before like you saw Marlene come up like Do who did you think the girl was the victim or did you think the guy was?

Jerk:

I didn't know.

Bitch:

Okay.

Jerk:

I was unsure.

Bitch:

Cause I wasn't sure if like they were, cause I knew cause I've,

Jerk:

seeing it. Yeah.

Bitch:

I've seen this along and I wasn't sure if this was one of those kind of like the gender swap things they do sometimes, you know, where

Jerk:

I didn't

Bitch:

is he? No,

Jerk:

have a... I wasn't convinced either way.

Bitch:

I think it is also expect like if you're a guy in a truck stop, you're going to be a murderer.

Jerk:

Is that just what you expect? Well,

Bitch:

That is just what I expect.

Jerk:

either way, Marlene's got cat eye pupils, bangs, and knocks out our, this dude and says it's for the crappy tip.

Bitch:

Yeah, tip your server fucker. Hey, what's wrong with you? That's what you get

Jerk:

So we get a montage of the three weeks of mourning that Sam and Dean are going through sitting at Rufus's week one. They're pretty much just sitting there morning. Bobby, this is very, it's very sad. I'm not trying to be flippant. I just yeah,

Bitch:

No, week one

Jerk:

it is. I'm sitting

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

the

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

sitting

Bitch:

stare

Jerk:

and

Bitch:

of

Jerk:

staring

Bitch:

despair.

Jerk:

off into space. We too, we've got some whiskey. We've got some research starting again, trying to figure out the number. And week three that Bobby left

Bitch:

And

Jerk:

them.

Bitch:

Dean and Dean has yeah and Dean is a list of possibilities of and crossed out. They looked at zip codes and looked at locks V-mail the I Wrote a word that I think is the word of voicemail. I think it's supposed to be voicemail Password and bank number, but they're all crossed out. So they are like going through stuff trying to like figure out

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

what

Jerk:

start

Bitch:

it

Jerk:

with

Bitch:

is Yeah

Jerk:

the basics like you do. Week three, we now have a murder wall. That's our progression.

Bitch:

Yeah, complete with blueprints and newspaper clippings about biggersons being contaminated.

Jerk:

Yep. And Dick Roman and the number and all that. And Sam's there and he's like, maybe we should like let people know that Bobby died. It's kind of a valid point, because they're the only people that know.

Bitch:

That's just weird, right? And honestly, I think what you need to do, Sam, which is you don't need to call people. You've got a hunter circle, you call Garth. You find a motormouth

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

and you direct them and say, "'No, you take care of this for me and go call. "'We're a family, we don't have

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

to do that.'" That's how that works.

Jerk:

Dean is not interested. He is solely focused on researching this number. And then a phone rings.

Bitch:

But also, like, who are you gonna call? Like, everybody but Jodie's dead,

Jerk:

Oh, well,

Bitch:

like,

Jerk:

they don't know who

Bitch:

you

Jerk:

he

Bitch:

killed

Jerk:

knows

Bitch:

them all,

Jerk:

and

Bitch:

like...

Jerk:

they have his phone and his and his like and his and

Bitch:

they

Jerk:

his address

Bitch:

do have

Jerk:

book.

Bitch:

his address

Jerk:

So,

Bitch:

book.

Jerk:

I mean, they've got that.

Bitch:

Yeah.

Jerk:

So his phone rings and Sam answers Bobby's phone and a female young female voice asks for Bobby and is like, my dad told me to call for Bobby Singer and just.

Bitch:

specifically, no more.

Jerk:

Sam says he's not here so she hangs up. But Sam's like, I think this is a hunter's kid. We need to go find her and help her out. So let's use the address book and caller ID and find this chick. Which by the way, if they're moving around a lot as hunters and she is not using a cellular phone, this is not very feasible track down.

Bitch:

I don't understand how this tracking is working, but la la, Detective

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

Sam, good job. Good

Jerk:

Dean's

Bitch:

job, Detective

Jerk:

like,

Bitch:

Sam.

Jerk:

fuck that. You go check on the kid. I'm going to go check in with Frank.

Bitch:

which I would much rather go check in with Frank too. That would be my choice.

Jerk:

So, yeah, so Sam goes to this Clark Manor furnished apartments and knocks on this door and this girl, like teen girl, young teen girl, right? I mean, I don't know, answers. And

Bitch:

Yeah, pre-teenish

Jerk:

yeah,

Bitch:

teens, young teens.

Jerk:

and Sam's like, yeah, your dad was in Bobby's address book. Bobby's dead, so here I am, you sounded scared.

Bitch:

And she's like, my

Jerk:

Come

Bitch:

name

Jerk:

on

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

in.

Bitch:

Chrissy.

Jerk:

But

Bitch:

I also just think it's the name

Jerk:

really?

Bitch:

Chrissy. Like it just, yeah, I think I just don't like Chrissy's.

Jerk:

Hmm

Bitch:

Anyway, so she has nine one on speed dial and wants to know is Sam is a

Jerk:

Mm

Bitch:

salesman.

Jerk:

hmm. Like her dad. Yeah.

Bitch:

Like her old man.

Jerk:

And he's like, she's like, yeah, he calls every night to check in, but he hasn't called for five days. Rutt Rowe. That's a bad sign. So Sam's like, it's fine.

Bitch:

It's

Jerk:

We'll

Bitch:

not

Jerk:

track

Bitch:

good,

Jerk:

him down.

Bitch:

no.

Jerk:

And he had a lead near Dodge City and shows Sam where her dad's desk was. So he's convinced dad's a hunter and she doesn't know it. That's what he's convinced. And so he like sends her out to go make coffee while he searches dad's desk. And then he.

Bitch:

Who is shadily rifles through his shit?

Jerk:

This

Bitch:

Like just

Jerk:

is

Bitch:

shadily,

Jerk:

so awkward.

Bitch:

just like if she was watching, I mean,

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

what the

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

fuck

Jerk:

also

Bitch:

are you

Jerk:

her

Bitch:

doing?

Jerk:

dad's missing.

Bitch:

Like

Jerk:

She would have already gone

Bitch:

this

Jerk:

through all

Bitch:

is

Jerk:

this shit

Bitch:

not okay.

Jerk:

by the way. Um, right.

Bitch:

She's a teenage girl.

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

She already went through

Jerk:

duh.

Bitch:

all that shit.

Jerk:

Dad's missing. She's a teenager. What the fuck? That's

Bitch:

What do you know,

Jerk:

true.

Bitch:

but even without him missing, like she's just a teenage girl. She went through his shit.

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

That's what teenage girls do.

Jerk:

yes. So he finds a picture of the guy and Chrissy. So now we know what dad looks like. It's our guy from the first scene, obviously. And Sam knows to go look in the closet behind all the clothes because back there is his murder wall hidden behind his perfectly hung shirts. That all match. So. Sam's like, cool, cool. There's a bunch of stories about missing truckers. I'm going to go tell Chrissy, hey, I'm taking this picture of your dad, like this one sentimental picture of you and your dad that's sitting around here. I'm going to take this with me and go find him and I'll check in with you just like your dad did.

Bitch:

So like, what's her dad supposed to do? Is he like, Chrissy, I'm gonna go hang out in my room for a little bit, ignore me, I'm watching porn, like, and then just goes and stares in

Jerk:

We

Bitch:

this

Jerk:

probably

Bitch:

closet?

Jerk:

wait until she's asleep. Or goes to school or something.

Bitch:

How can, like, but, oh, I said, but, I was just like, it doesn't seem like it would work. Like, and after later what we learn, I'm kind of wondering why it's

Jerk:

It's

Bitch:

in this closet.

Jerk:

that stupid.

Bitch:

Anyways.

Jerk:

Anyway, so we cut to a 69 Buick special deluxe, which is actually pretty fucking cool, pulling up to a Frank's house as Dean and the house is pretty much cleared out, except for like some empty beers and some like rocks. And so Sam Dean's kind of concerned about what the situation is here. Then Frank's there and rocks the shotgun. The Frank shotgun ready.

Bitch:

Yay, Frick!

Jerk:

and really, really needs Dane to prove that he is not a Leviathan. So we have a standoff.

Bitch:

And we learned that Gwyneth

Jerk:

too.

Bitch:

Paltrow was leviathan, which is surprising

Jerk:

Moon.

Bitch:

to nobody. So Dean decides the way to prove himself is that I don't need to bleed blood. If I don't bleed black goo,

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

then I am not a Leviathan. So he just like cuts himself. He doesn't even put pressure on it. He just like cuts himself and then be like, see red blood

Jerk:

All over, dripping,

Bitch:

on my shirt.

Jerk:

goo, gross, messy. Unsanitary, sir, you're gonna get an infection.

Bitch:

That is, yeah,

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

he

Jerk:

then

Bitch:

didn't even clean

Jerk:

he

Bitch:

that

Jerk:

makes

Bitch:

knife.

Jerk:

Frank do it too though because now it's principal. So Frank's like, fine, let's go. And like he cuts himself and they have to leave, okay? So they are driving, they get out of the Buick and there are like some like barn with an RV inside it where apparently Frank is now living and has set up his control center.

Bitch:

Nice.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

Off the grid,

Jerk:

And Dean

Bitch:

dig it.

Jerk:

is pretty kind of upset. He's like, look, I've told you, like, he's like, wait, you've been the second I told you to like research dick, you've been being watched and spied on. What the fuck? And Frank kind of goes on a tirade. He's like, do you think I know? He's at first he's saying, yes, I've been spied on. He's like, well, I don't really know if I'm being spied on. But do you think it's do you think it's easy to see this deep into what's real and be bipolar with delusional ideation? make a pill for them. So we know that Frank might be being watched, might not be, but he's convinced he's being watched and that's all that matters.

Bitch:

We also learned that Frank thinks that Dean called him four days

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

ago instead of four weeks ago And because he's been really deep in a rabbit hole and we also learned that Dean paid him $15,000 to this where did Dean

Jerk:

Really

Bitch:

get

Jerk:

good

Bitch:

$15,000?

Jerk:

question. So, yeah.

Bitch:

Maybe it was Bobby's.

Jerk:

Maybe and Dean's mad though, because he's been waiting to hear from Frank. He's kind of pissed that Frank hasn't had information for him because he paid for this work and because Bobby died for those numbers is what he says. So Frank's like, look, I'm going to tell some sweet Bobby story. And Dean's like, pass. I don't want to hear it. I want the information. And so Frank offers a melody. It's my.

Bitch:

No, he doesn't offer him LSD. He said what he needs

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

is some LSD and a little shiatsu,

Jerk:

I'll

Bitch:

which

Jerk:

take the

Bitch:

sounds

Jerk:

Shiatsu.

Bitch:

lovely.

Jerk:

Yeah. But Frank does have a point. He's like, look, maybe we're missing a digit. Bobby was like literally dying of brain trauma when he wrote these numbers down. So I have a super complex mathy thing that will run probabilities to figure out if there's a digit missing, because we have five digits and, oh yeah, figured out there was six.

Bitch:

But it does make sense. It's probability, right? And so he's just like, no, it makes, and we all like,

Jerk:

Ta-da!

Bitch:

here it is. The numbers are coordinates.

Jerk:

We have coordinates. And maps to the middle of a field. What?

Bitch:

Thanks for watching!

Jerk:

Middle of a field in Wisconsin.

Bitch:

The cat knocked down the vacuum cleaner. Cat won vacuum

Jerk:

Oh my

Bitch:

cleaner

Jerk:

god.

Bitch:

9,000. She took it out, sorry. Anyways, so there's a field in Wisconsin and Dean's just a dick,

Jerk:

Who cares?

Bitch:

like, to frame me like, man, why don't you care about a field in Wisconsin? That's not

Jerk:

No,

Bitch:

what Bobby

Jerk:

but

Bitch:

would want.

Jerk:

Frank's already ahead of that because he knows it's a parcel of land bought by a subsidiary of Richard Roman Enterprises. Ta-da! So they're going to set up surveillance. Makes sense to me. So we've got Sam

Bitch:

You're smart.

Jerk:

in a suit in the Morgan Dodge City area and is looking at a dead body that was found in a ditch. It has puncture wounds at the arteries, both in the thigh and the neck. obviously bites. Obviously. Yeah,

Bitch:

and he's missing

Jerk:

corner makes

Bitch:

five

Jerk:

a

Bitch:

pints

Jerk:

vampire

Bitch:

of blood.

Jerk:

joke, which is funny because Sam doesn't react and the corner is disappointed because it usually gets a chuckle. Well,

Bitch:

Yeah.

Jerk:

so Sam calls Dean. I was there as he as the as Sam is leaving the morgue and Dean tells Sam about coordinates and that he's heading there because Dick said it's a talk. Yeah.

Bitch:

And Dean found that out on HuffPo.

Jerk:

And...

Bitch:

And so Sam tells Dean that he doesn't think that Chrissy even knows that her dad's in the life

Jerk:

alive.

Bitch:

and they keep calling it the life in this, which it just sounds like swingers. And then I just started thinking about like, you know, how like the idea like swingers have like the pineapple on their doorstep or like the blue pot, like whatever it was,

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

it was like supposed to symbolize that. Like what would hunters

Jerk:

That's

Bitch:

put on their doorstep?

Jerk:

hilarious. I don't know.

Bitch:

Is it just

Jerk:

It would be

Bitch:

a thing

Jerk:

like a

Bitch:

of salt?

Jerk:

Costco bag of salt. Giant bags of salt.

Bitch:

We're in the hunting life

Jerk:

Hey,

Bitch:

here.

Jerk:

we're not salty, we're just in the life. It's my bad one, that's what I got. Fucking tired, don't judge me for that one. I'm proud of it anyways. There we go, so yeah,

Bitch:

That's very good.

Jerk:

bags of salt. I don't know what else you would do. Oh, I mean you have a front door mat that's double trap.

Bitch:

There you go.

Jerk:

All right. So we've got, um, Frank has a costume for Dean because they're going to go do surveillance

Bitch:

Peace.

Jerk:

and they are wearing, um, with cell networks, um, tech uniforms and stand around, going to go put a cherry picker. Look at the land.

Bitch:

And they fight over like who gets to ride in it, which is stupid because this fight should be the opposite because who doesn't want to ride in the cherry picker bucket because

Jerk:

I do and I don't.

Bitch:

I wouldn't do that immediately. It seems

Jerk:

and

Bitch:

like

Jerk:

it's

Bitch:

so

Jerk:

hot.

Bitch:

much fun. It's fine. You're not. But you especially like if you get to control it sounds good. Anyway, so Dean, it has to go

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

in it because

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

Frank

Jerk:

so

Bitch:

is the

Jerk:

while

Bitch:

manager.

Jerk:

Dean's up in the cherry picker, which he's not happy about it at all, Frank takes the opportunity to use his binoculars to spot all the cameras in the area, realize there's a shit ton, makes a Ma Bell reference, which I was amused by. You don't hear those every day anymore. And then, and then he's like, well, nope, get down. We're not doing this. Fuck this shit. Because they've got so much surveillance here. We can't set up surveillance. So let's just tap into theirs.

Bitch:

Duh, if somebody already has a surveillance in there, that's

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

just the

Jerk:

so

Bitch:

easiest

Jerk:

back in the

Bitch:

way

Jerk:

RV,

Bitch:

to do things.

Jerk:

Frank's going to pull up the cameras and gives Dean shit for having no fucking sleep. I feel you. And Dean falls asleep. So, um, well. Immediately.

Bitch:

Yep, he just passes out immediately

Jerk:

And Sam

Bitch:

in a chair,

Jerk:

in the

Bitch:

sitting

Jerk:

midst of this

Bitch:

up.

Jerk:

leaves Dean a voicemail because he has figured out what monster he is hunting. It's a Vatala.

Bitch:

Mm-hmm.

Jerk:

And Dad hunted one once. So there's a chance that Chrissy's dad's alive because they don't always kill immediately.

Bitch:

Yeah. And so he says, you know, they're loners. They want to drag a guy home and feed on them slow. And all of this is nothing to do with the VITALA. So which is how I believe that it's supposed to be said.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

So it's time for lore.

Jerk:

All right.

Bitch:

All right. So I had the, the pronunciation. I kept, I had to spend a lot of time in Google translate this week. I'm sure none of it will mean anything. So we tall is come from Hindu mythology and at their most basic, they're a spirit, a ghost or a goblin, they like to haunt cemeteries and animate bodies. So not truck, stop parking lots. But that may be because the story came first. And so the writers, according to Adam Glass, they said that they adapted the Vittala to fit into it. And they did have a fun time reading about them and their links between vampires, specifically Dracula. And there's just some really fun far out shows on, you know, Indian shows and comics and movies, et cetera, about these things. So it was a good time. And it's very timely because Babe

Jerk:

He is.

Bitch:

is about to go

Jerk:

He's going

Bitch:

on

Jerk:

on

Bitch:

an adventure.

Jerk:

an Indian adventure.

Bitch:

is going on an Indian adventure. So something that comes from that side of the world seems appropriate. A lot of this came from the follow of an Atlas Obscura article by Emma Star-Rose and an article from Hindu.com by Aditya Sen and Alok Sharma, meet Dracula's Indian ancestor, Vitale. So I'm sure I'm driving somebody crazy with how I'm pronouncing this word, but

Jerk:

Thanks

Bitch:

whatever.

Jerk:

for watching!

Bitch:

blow up her inbox. So, Vittala show up in known literature, at least back to the 11th century. So think about that. That was a very, very long time. So, over a millennium. And they became popular through the collection of stories known as the Vittala Pansri Misate, damn it. No, I had it, but all right. Or also the Betel Picassi's, which translates to 25 tales of Betel. And these are still around and they've been translated to a ton of different Indian vernaculars, although it

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

was originally in Sanskrit. And there are several English translations, including the version that's the heart of this Dracula link. And that was the one written by the Sir Richard Francis Burton, the famous explorer. So since this is something that's been around since the 11th century, obviously there's a lot of versions of it. But the basic framework is this, is that King Vikram is, he basically promises a tantric sorcerer or source arrests that he will capture them of Vitaal, who is said to exist in a realm between life and death. And they have the ability to see into the past, present and future. And so Basically the sorcerer wants the king to capture him, the school, this thing, because it can see into the past, present, and the future. It's got the gift of prophecy. It has all these magical powers. And so if you capture it, then you can enslave it and use it to do your bidding, which is

Jerk:

not nice.

Bitch:

not cool. It's not. So within the story, you know, so King Vic he goes and he finds one hanging from a tree and he catches it But in order to keep it and get it back to the sorcerer, basically he has to shut the fuck up So the Vitala has this thing where it's like, okay, I'm gonna give you a riddle and if you know the answer you have to say it and If you know the answer pretend you don't then your head's gonna explode but if you know the answer and you say it, then I'm gonna go back to my tree. But if you don't know the answer, then you get to keep me. So basically now King Vic is like, okay, I'll do this. So, you know, the Vitale is giving him a riddle and the King is actually pretty smart and he knows the answer 24 times. So part of this is just the idea, like, you know, this is, I guess, metaphor for a... growing wiser as you're like walking and doing stuff, whatever. But so the 25th time that we find isn't known the answer to their riddle. And this is their riddle. If a prince marries the queen and a princess marries the king, and each couple has a baby, what is the relation between the two newborns? And King Vic went, duh, fuck, that's disgusting. Nah. Nah, I'm not I don't have an answer to this

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

is this is fuck you. And so he gets to keep he gets to keep his prize, which is his, his little ghoul is Vitala. And but basically, now like they got the Vitala is like, you know, the sorcerer is really shitty, and it's just gonna kill me and kill you and he's gonna do bad stuff. So then they team up and

Jerk:

Stay.

Bitch:

they defend and they defeat him. So The point is, is like, we realize that these are in Sanskrit and other vernaculars, et cetera. So there are a lot of people who were transcribing this. And so when Richard Burton, Sir Burton, you know, trans translated it, he

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

adapted it. So he, he adapted a lot. And so some things change, but it's also, it makes this very interesting. Kind of. So he adapts the story that's been around since 11th century, right? And he like rewrites it and he fills in, I'll tell you, some of the things he fills in. But what ends up happening is that he influences what the story becomes in the later term, because that's the English adaption of it, right? But there's still the, the Indian vernacular versions are still going at the same time. So you kind of have the split

Jerk:

Oh, right.

Bitch:

of the mythology. that start but then they end up kind of weaving back together. So we'll see kind of like how that ends up happening, which I just think from an anthropological standpoint, it's interesting. It really gives you're thinking about, you know, Richard Burton in India, Richard Burton from England, India, Lady 200s, England was not doing some great stuff. Yeah, I'm just saying this. So. when Burton adapted this, one of the big things is that he changes, you know, Vittala is to vampire, right? So it becomes King, King Vickram and the vampire

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

is the name of the book that he the way that he transcribed trans I don't want to translate it so

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

adapts he adapts it and so in that this is how he ends up describing our Vittala, right? So it's eyes which were wide open were of a greenish brown and never twinkled. Its hair also was brown, and brown was its face, through several shades which, notwithstanding, approached one another in an unpleasant way, as in an over-dried coconut. Its body was thin and rimmed like a skeleton or a bamboo framework, and it held onto a bow like a flying fox by the toe tips. Its drawn muscles stood out as if they were ropes of coir. So, blood it appeared to have none, or there would have been a decided determination of that curious juice to the head. And as the Rajah handled its skin, it felt cold and clammy as might a snake. The only sign of life was the whisking of a ragged little tail, much resembling a goat's. And so the book also had illustrations by Ernest Greast, who depicted the Vatala as a half-human, half-bat. hanging on a tree with a long tail. So you see where that is going. Bet! Something else that Burton also did was he only chose to include 11 of the 25 original stories in the English

Jerk:

A

Bitch:

version.

Jerk:

chunk.

Bitch:

So he

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

left out of like a lot, a chunk. And they're also, you know, one of the things you critique is that flattens

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

ok, First K, was published in:

Jerk:

Ah.

Bitch:

would prove more interesting in its abbreviated form. So Sir Richard got bored and he stopped writing after 11 or whatever but I just love that Isabelle is like, oh no, he like

Jerk:

He

Bitch:

only

Jerk:

just did

Bitch:

wrote

Jerk:

the

Bitch:

11

Jerk:

best

Bitch:

because

Jerk:

11.

Bitch:

they were the best.

Jerk:

It's not cause any other reason.

Bitch:

he just did the best best. So the book comes out and it's very popular and a bunch of people read it including Bram Stoker who had a hard on both for Richard Burton and the India visit the idea of like Eastern mysticism which is pretty big around this time in general. Also Richard Accuser Burton I will say he's the one who brought Karma Sucha to

Jerk:

But not the same

Bitch:

England

Jerk:

person,

Bitch:

so thank you for that

Jerk:

different

Bitch:

one.

Jerk:

name that founded Virgin Records and Virgin Airlines and Cruises. I

Bitch:

That is

Jerk:

know,

Bitch:

Richard

Jerk:

just

Bitch:

Branson.

Jerk:

kidding. I'm kidding, but he's, yes,

Bitch:

Okay. He's

Jerk:

not,

Bitch:

also

Jerk:

yeah.

Bitch:

different than Tim Burton. And so, anyway, so Burton often said that he discussed Hindu myths with Stoker and Stoker studied Betel Poughkeese thoroughly before writing Dracula. And then, so just remember Dracula, he turned

Jerk:

Yep.

Bitch:

into a bat that hung upside down

Jerk:

Interesting.

Bitch:

and had powers and drank blood. had nothing similar. Yeah, I was like, Oh, shit, like, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah. So in some of the articles I read gave different descriptions of Vittala to show Burton's influence and highlighted Teresa Bain's description in the Encyclopedia of Demons and World Religions and Culture, where she defined it as a vampiric demon that possesses humans and causes their feet and hands to twist backwards. their skin to turn green and their fingernails to become long,

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

hite, white talent. But in my:

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

in the vampire creature called the Ponyama,

Jerk:

No.

Bitch:

which is not a good name for anything. They are described as looking like an old woman with black skin, poisonous fingernails and slick eyes, which is the closest we've actually had

Jerk:

Yep.

Bitch:

to the ones that were in this episode. Usually they are covered in the funeral pyre ashes. as this is where they sleep during the day. At night, the Punyamiya, whatever, how you say that, attacks lone travelers who walk down quiet roads. These vampires will also climb up to the roofs of houses and feed a magical string into the home's chimney. The thread they use is enchanted to find sleeping women or women who are passed out drunk. Insert themselves into their skin and then they feed the blood back up to wait to the waiting

Jerk:

So if

Bitch:

Punyamiya.

Jerk:

you get drunk or fall asleep, they're gonna drop a string down your, like a big giant, like a crazy straw? This is a crazy

Bitch:

So

Jerk:

straw.

Bitch:

it's like a, no, it's a tampon string.

Jerk:

Uh, with a string.

Bitch:

It's absorbing blood. Think about it. It's just a tear blood string.

Jerk:

I prefer

Bitch:

And

Jerk:

a crazy

Bitch:

that just

Jerk:

straw

Bitch:

came to

Jerk:

by

Bitch:

me.

Jerk:

a

Bitch:

If

Jerk:

long

Bitch:

you hadn't

Jerk:

shot.

Bitch:

said that, I wouldn't have thought that at all. Well, because it's a thread that's coming down. It soaks up the blood. Like, it goes into your arm, and it soaks the blood up from

Jerk:

Heavy

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

can't really

Bitch:

arm,

Jerk:

suck

Bitch:

and then

Jerk:

on

Bitch:

they're

Jerk:

a string.

Bitch:

like sucking on it.

Jerk:

That's a nice thought though. Maybe

Bitch:

I'm pretty sure you can

Jerk:

yeah, I know

Bitch:

like

Jerk:

but

Bitch:

a string

Jerk:

never mind

Bitch:

that's full of moist. Yeah. Okay, gross. But anyway, so but so the vampires also have the ability to possess a corpse. And when they do the corpses feet distort and the basically go backwards, you know, feet tilt backwards.

Jerk:

Huh.

Bitch:

So Teresa has three versions,

Jerk:

Pick one.

Bitch:

which isn't Teresa.

Jerk:

Pick one.

Bitch:

That's the real controversy here. Teresa Baines,

Jerk:

Commit.

Bitch:

which one is it? So, OK, so. Anyways, there are a lot of stories, like I said, this is some of those prevalent Indian comics and what it does, like I said, it cuts back around. So like Dracula, like Indian Dracula is a lot of that has like, it's a combination of Graham Stoker's Dracula in

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

the Vittala stories, right? The older ones. So in the Diamond comic series, Lambo Motu, Dracula is depicted as an anthropomorphic creature with flaming mane like hair and a tail and then later They use that same image when they did their Vikram Batal series So basically was Dracula and then he was you know in said the Vittala would

Jerk:

Yes.

Bitch:

I did show Diana that picture It is very good There are also a bunch of comics at least TVs three TV series about Vikram and the Vittala in a bunch of movies I would say go plug them in there and any of them you will enjoy some amazing

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

pictures that I kept sending her today that I'm sure will find their way into our into our socials. So I highly recommend especially the YouTube Go watch. I don't know which exactly in the Vikram Batal series it was, but there is one Vitala who has like white hair and I

Jerk:

It's

Bitch:

think it's

Jerk:

definitely

Bitch:

an old dude,

Jerk:

an older man.

Bitch:

maybe an

Jerk:

Definitely

Bitch:

old lady.

Jerk:

an older man.

Bitch:

I think it's a dude and he's got like a bunch

Jerk:

It's

Bitch:

of

Jerk:

very

Bitch:

like

Jerk:

bizarre.

Bitch:

clown

Jerk:

It's so...

Bitch:

And so like in the story, remember, now you'll understand why the so basically in the, you know, in

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

the show, the Vital is on his back like a monkey and just like hanging on to his neck,

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

to King Vic's neck as he's like walking around. So I just sent this video to Diana with no context. And it's just this weird thing like wrapped around somebody's neck because it's in some Hindi, like I don't know which but yeah, so it was it was lovely. And I'm sorry if I've been. butchered the way that word was pronounced, but has literally also is very interesting. A lot of the stories that they were talking about this connection would bring up like vert like this version, the supernatural version of the V Tala as a means to be like, this is

Jerk:

Interesting.

Bitch:

how much like it's shifted.

Jerk:

Hmm.

Bitch:

Yeah. So, but that's

Jerk:

Now,

Bitch:

not, those are the bitches

Jerk:

nope.

Bitch:

we have. This is, this is very different. The closest thing like I got with the cat's lit eyes and then so the teeth, which, you know, they're supposed to be, you know, fang light for drinking blood, I guess, because they're not using

Jerk:

or

Bitch:

the tampon

Jerk:

crazy straw.

Bitch:

string method. Our crazy strong, which we're going to do it. But so in the but the special effects people, the makeup people. took inspiration from traditional vampire fangs and

Jerk:

Oh, okay.

Bitch:

muskrat teeth.

Jerk:

Interesting.

Bitch:

So that's where their fangs come from.

Jerk:

Muscrat teeth. Well, Sam's about to see him, because he goes to the truck stop, where, and he's asking Marlene about their missing man, with the dad, and she's like, oh yeah, he was here the other day, maybe he went and talked to that girl out in the parking lot, points to the lot lizard, the skirt.

Bitch:

So did it look like this? Yeah, this shifted from that was that was a bandage that was not a skirt Um, there's definitely the definition of a bandage skirt but Damn it. No, I got distracted by her skirt

Jerk:

Well, Sam's going to go out and approach our lot lizard and her name is Sally, as you can tell from her giant gold necklace with her name on it, which made me so happy. I want that. I need to get that one as I wear my necklace with my name on it. It was a good one. And she shows

Bitch:

It is,

Jerk:

the

Bitch:

yeah.

Jerk:

pic and she's like, have you? He's like, hey, have you seen this guy? And Sally kind of lies badly at first says no, then she's like, Oh, it's not safe here. You have to follow me.

Bitch:

We had to get somewhere more private to use the

Jerk:

Right.

Bitch:

sob stories. Like, I'm so scared.

Jerk:

Not so much. It's a lie. After she pretends to be scared and they're between the trucks. And guess what? Marlene's there and they are way tougher than Sam and knock him out and knock the knife out. I know

Bitch:

Well, it

Jerk:

it's

Bitch:

takes

Jerk:

just.

Bitch:

him a minute to like realize that Sally is it he's just like, he's like, run Sally run.

Jerk:

He

Bitch:

And

Jerk:

does.

Bitch:

then he gets need in the nards

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

bitten

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

and

Jerk:

they

Bitch:

then

Jerk:

got

Bitch:

he passes

Jerk:

Sam

Bitch:

out.

Jerk:

Ruttrow. But back in Frank's trailer, Dean wakes up. He's been asleep for 36 fucking hours. I cannot fathom that. That sounds awful in that chair like that, too. His pal back in your neck fucked for days.

Bitch:

Oh my God, his neck. Oh my,

Jerk:

Days.

Bitch:

your neck, like, like your neck

Jerk:

Oh.

Bitch:

was like this. Like you could, like, you could have turned

Jerk:

Broken.

Bitch:

to like, you couldn't look, he couldn't

Jerk:

No,

Bitch:

look to the

Jerk:

awful,

Bitch:

left. He's lost

Jerk:

impossible.

Bitch:

his peripheral,

Jerk:

All

Bitch:

like,

Jerk:

right, anyways,

Bitch:

no.

Jerk:

but Frank's got footage to show him. It has like basically Amanda Willard who works for Richard Roman Enterprises, is hanging out in the field and making a bunch of notes. And has some workers there. So they're gonna build something and that they need to figure out. What's what's going on? And Frank tells Dean that he's have patience, which Dean, as we know, is not good at. And Frank's like, do you need to go out there and kill something to blow off steam? And he's really not amused by the suggestion. But and he's like, look, you know, yeah, I haven't been sleeping well because, you know, Bobby's dead and this mystery is a big fucking challenge. And I'm not handling it well. And Frank's like, well, maybe you should just give up. And I think that's an interesting suggestion that Frank's like, say, maybe just quit. And he's like, no, we're not doing that. And then I can't do that. And then Frank's like, look, do or you can do what I did when I was 26. I came home and we get sorry, I'm going to quote a little bit because we get some good Frank backstory. So I do what I did when I was 26. I can came home to find my wife and two kids gutted on the floor. I had to decide that I was going to be fine until the end of the week. Make yourself smile because you're alive and that's your job and do it again the next week. Dean said, fake it. Frank's like, no, I call it being professional. Do it right with a smile or don't do it. So basically it's kind of like, it's kind of, you know, we got this a little bit before Bobby got killed where Dean's attitude had shifted a bit where it wasn't like we're doing this for a cause or we're doing this because this is the right thing to do. It was a whatever. It's a chore. We just have to fucking do this shit now. And and I think that that's a kind of an interesting take that Frank has on how to approach it for Dean. And it's relevant in other ways.

Bitch:

Well, I mean, well, I

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

think it's also

Jerk:

when

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

he was

Bitch:

same

Jerk:

telling

Bitch:

point

Jerk:

them.

Bitch:

that Bobby was making before T though Like if you

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

if your brain isn't in this you're gonna die So either

Jerk:

Mm-hmm.

Bitch:

you get in the game or you quit

Jerk:

If you're going to do it, do it right or don't bother, kind of an attitude too, a little bit.

Bitch:

Is

Jerk:

And I think that like, I don't know, I felt

Bitch:

that... Yeah.

Jerk:

like it was that. I think

Bitch:

I

Jerk:

it's

Bitch:

think

Jerk:

really good

Bitch:

it's a pretty

Jerk:

in

Bitch:

good

Jerk:

general.

Bitch:

life

Jerk:

You

Bitch:

lesson.

Jerk:

don't have to be a fucking hunter or anything. I mean, like, I'm not trying to justify or compare or anybody's trauma, but if you're going to

Bitch:

If you're going to sell those, if you're going to sell those lululemons and like, or those, whatever those leggings are, then like you'd be the

Jerk:

Or

Bitch:

best

Jerk:

don't do

Bitch:

start

Jerk:

it or

Bitch:

linking

Jerk:

go do something

Bitch:

sales

Jerk:

else.

Bitch:

lady

Jerk:

But

Bitch:

you can be.

Jerk:

but don't don't. Yeah, I thought it was really good.

Bitch:

don't

Jerk:

I thought

Bitch:

do

Jerk:

it was

Bitch:

it

Jerk:

super

Bitch:

at all.

Jerk:

good. I was really liked

Bitch:

So,

Jerk:

it.

Bitch:

but can, can I just pick

Jerk:

I

Bitch:

to

Jerk:

mean, you

Bitch:

not

Jerk:

have to do something

Bitch:

do

Jerk:

else

Bitch:

it?

Jerk:

then.

Bitch:

He didn't say you had to pick something else, he just said to not do it.

Jerk:

Well, I thought I thought I really liked it. I thought it was really good.

Bitch:

So...

Jerk:

And it harken to something else I'd read recently. And it really, really resonated

Bitch:

It was.

Jerk:

with me. It's called being professional. Yeah, anyways, I liked it. So then Dean's like phone 36 hours after Sam left him a voicemail buzzes and tells him he has a voicemail. The fuck? What the fuck? I mean, I know my phone's delayed sometimes, but that's stupid. I don't know.

Bitch:

Also like, has it been bringing this whole time? Like, how is it still have batteries?

Jerk:

So dumb.

Bitch:

Like,

Jerk:

Either way,

Bitch:

why is it not

Jerk:

Dean

Bitch:

dead?

Jerk:

has finally listened to the voicemail from Sam and is very upset because Sam's he's sure that Sam's assessment is wrong about the Vitalis and he is mad. And

Bitch:

You

Jerk:

then

Bitch:

don't know

Jerk:

while

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

he's

Bitch:

whole...

Jerk:

this as he's figuring that out, Chrissy calls and tells Dean that she hasn't heard from Sam. Well, shit. because Sam's tied up

Bitch:

Uh oh. So

Jerk:

and it's

Bitch:

we cut

Jerk:

not

Bitch:

to where

Jerk:

really

Bitch:

Sam

Jerk:

an

Bitch:

tied

Jerk:

industrial

Bitch:

up.

Jerk:

site. So it's a, it's like a garage workshop.

Bitch:

It's kind of an abandoned, is it a band? I look at me a band restaurant or something. I was abandoned almost a warehouse, but it was like it was just an abandoned house. I don't know. But we learned that the venom causes ringing in the ear

Jerk:

Ugh, yeah.

Bitch:

hard

Jerk:

And Chrissy's

Bitch:

pass.

Jerk:

dad's name is Lee

Bitch:

No,

Jerk:

Chambers.

Bitch:

thank you.

Jerk:

And he's there too, and he's alive. That's good. And Sam's like, yeah, I'm a friend of Bobby's. We were looking for you. Chrissy was worried about you. So how do we get out of here? And Lee's like, we don't. There's two of them. They tagged team us. It's got a good system. And it only takes three, being drained three to four times to die, and they've already hit me three times.

Bitch:

oops, but he was really impressed with him. And so we know that like he's probably

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

almost like

Jerk:

he's on the

Bitch:

at

Jerk:

verge

Bitch:

the end.

Jerk:

of death. In the meantime, Dean makes it to meet up with Chrissy and does the same thing. Sam does such as a bedroom tells Chrissy to wait in the other room. But she's like, no. And Dean finds a scrap of murder wall in the closet. And Chrissy's like, yeah. Sorry, I'm going to pull a gun on you. I know where this shit I know all this shit. I followed my I know I try to follow dad's instructions to be normal, let the adults work it out. But whatevs, I took it.

Bitch:

Well, she said she didn't say anything to Sam because he looked like he was competent, right? And so, and then she's burned it, she's burned the murder map, it's all on her head. So you're gonna take me with you. So now we know that, well, Chrissy

Jerk:

And the only

Bitch:

actually

Jerk:

thing that was

Bitch:

knew

Jerk:

really

Bitch:

what

Jerk:

sad

Bitch:

her dad

Jerk:

is

Bitch:

was

Jerk:

that

Bitch:

doing.

Jerk:

she makes like the comment, like if she's afraid that if she gives Dean the info without going with him, that just like her dad and Sam, that he'll leave and not come back. My. exercise them this

Bitch:

Yes, that's a valid fear. That's valid.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

So

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

they hit the road.

Jerk:

Chrissy really wants to chitchat. Dean is not feeling it. So she...

Bitch:

because

Jerk:

He

Bitch:

he's the middle of

Jerk:

is.

Bitch:

serious

Jerk:

He is so

Bitch:

revenge

Jerk:

into

Bitch:

crap.

Jerk:

it. And she's kind of trying to put her headphones in, but she still kind of wants to talk. And he's like, she's like, yeah, my dad was such a good hunter. That Sam's so big. It's kind of crazy. It's something got both of them. And Dean's like, yeah, because the tall is hunting pairs. And they thought it was so low. That's the problem here. So they got doubled up. They had the wrong info.

Bitch:

Uh

Jerk:

And she kind of

Bitch:

oh.

Jerk:

calls him out. She's like, what, what are you just like the keeper of the information? And you didn't fucking share this shit with them. And he's like, no, it was when Sam was in college. Mind blown. I just can

Bitch:

And she's

Jerk:

go to

Bitch:

just

Jerk:

school.

Bitch:

like, Hunters

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

can go to school?

Jerk:

Mind blown

Bitch:

What?

Jerk:

by this information. Uh, so back in the garage, I don't know. Uh, Sally strolls on in and it was just very tickled with. herself the fact that they've got two hunters now with both Lee and Sam. And they're about to like feed on Lee again, but that is a bad. That would be bad because he would die. So Sam like taunts them until.

Bitch:

And she's like, look at my hoops, man.

Jerk:

Good,

Bitch:

These are my serious

Jerk:

I like them.

Bitch:

hoopy earrings. And I'm

Jerk:

I'm a fan.

Bitch:

here for this bitch.

Jerk:

I would have worn probably most of that in my 20s. Some of it I would wear now. I can't wear some of it now. can, should,

Bitch:

Some of that just

Jerk:

shouldn't

Bitch:

you

Jerk:

right

Bitch:

shouldn't

Jerk:

now.

Bitch:

wear now.

Jerk:

You know, exactly.

Bitch:

Whatever,

Jerk:

That's why I say

Bitch:

you can wear

Jerk:

shouldn't,

Bitch:

whatever you want, but

Jerk:

can,

Bitch:

you know, whatever.

Jerk:

sure, shouldn't, yeah.

Bitch:

Yeah, so and then

Jerk:

Does

Bitch:

she said

Jerk:

he?

Bitch:

she bites Sam and he likes it. He's got to

Jerk:

Well,

Bitch:

look

Jerk:

Dean

Bitch:

at his face

Jerk:

and Chrissy

Bitch:

like he does.

Jerk:

go to the truck stop and they see Sally there too and they're like, hmm, I don't know. They ask if...

Bitch:

Oh, before that, back in the car, I just wanted to have my clever note here. Dean's like asking her basically like, are you a hunting virgin? You know, and like, and she's just like, no, I do it all the time.

Jerk:

Oh,

Bitch:

And I'm just like with her boyfriend who is

Jerk:

right.

Bitch:

a candidate.

Jerk:

Yeah. So she's like, I totally help. And he's like, yeah, no, you're terrified. She said, no, I've been training. He's like, no, it's not safe. But they see as there's like staking out the truck stop, they see Marlene go. After they see the lot lizard. Well, Sally and one of the truckers walked to the back of a truck. They see Marlene get in the front and the truck pulls away. And they're like, wait a minute. So they're going to follow.

Bitch:

Well, could see as well the waitress is getting in the truck and Dean's like I'm not gonna explain our reading crap to you but also I think that it's Just like she's getting in the front not the back and technically she would be getting in the front

Jerk:

That was

Bitch:

because

Jerk:

weird

Bitch:

that's

Jerk:

choice.

Bitch:

typically where

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

the

Jerk:

like

Bitch:

beds

Jerk:

what are they

Bitch:

are

Jerk:

gonna do bang in the cargo

Bitch:

ladies like

Jerk:

hold

Bitch:

in the

Jerk:

or

Bitch:

back

Jerk:

whatever

Bitch:

of the

Jerk:

the

Bitch:

rig,

Jerk:

fuck?

Bitch:

but I Don't understand that but anyways, well, I guess there's like two doors, but I also just

Jerk:

That

Bitch:

think

Jerk:

is

Bitch:

we're

Jerk:

pretty.

Bitch:

lanes

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

a boss bitch You're being able

Jerk:

So.

Bitch:

to drive that truck

Jerk:

She is so Dean's all excited and they're going to because they're going to follow and they figure out where they're all hit out at. And he wants to fist bump. And she like mocks him for fist bumps being like, so not cool now. And I'm just. I don't like to reference that time, that time of recent years. But like.

Bitch:

Now you see why I say,

Jerk:

Yeah, but

Bitch:

now

Jerk:

this

Bitch:

I

Jerk:

film

Bitch:

say Chrissy.

Jerk:

came back because we had a pandemic and we shake hands, so it's just funny timing to be like, oh, she was talking shit on those a decade ago.

Bitch:

know

Jerk:

They still fist

Bitch:

that

Jerk:

bump.

Bitch:

people are doing

Jerk:

But yeah.

Bitch:

a lot about starting with hands and like I don't know fist bumps never went out of style anyway so but Dean's fist bump was not to be cool

Jerk:

to

Bitch:

it was to create

Jerk:

it's a ruse

Bitch:

a ruse.

Jerk:

to handcuff her to the steering wheel while he goes in.

Bitch:

And what she's like is like, I'm not bringing

Jerk:

Mm-mm.

Bitch:

a kid into this hunt,

Jerk:

Maybe.

Bitch:

which is maybe something his dad should have

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

thought about. Maybe something Chrissy's dad should think more about. Like yes, this

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

is actually an appropriate

Jerk:

Weird.

Bitch:

choice that you're making, Dean Luchester. Do not bring the young teenage

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

girl into a fight with

Jerk:

Correct. Uh,

Bitch:

crazy vampire

Jerk:

but,

Bitch:

ladies.

Jerk:

oh, well, so Dean goes in and bashes Sally in the face with a metal beam and then has a knife, but Marlene's very, very tough and while Sam's kind of waking up, Marlene kind of beats the

Bitch:

She's

Jerk:

fuck

Bitch:

a boss

Jerk:

out

Bitch:

bitch.

Jerk:

of, out of, out of Dean. Um, but. Right as Dean's finally going to get like some headway in this fight with Marlene, Chrissy runs in. and gets nabbed by

Bitch:

to see.

Jerk:

Sally. Well, shit. And now we got a hostage.

Bitch:

and the blonde bites into Lee. And so doesn't Lee die? Like shouldn't he die?

Jerk:

But she just did. But she didn't. But

Bitch:

That's

Jerk:

she didn't.

Bitch:

what they

Jerk:

It's like

Bitch:

said.

Jerk:

feed

Bitch:

Like

Jerk:

on

Bitch:

when

Jerk:

him,

Bitch:

we're

Jerk:

feed

Bitch:

biting,

Jerk:

on him.

Bitch:

he

Jerk:

She

Bitch:

died.

Jerk:

just did like a quick bite on him, I think. Or maybe he's just really tough. And there's not a perfect. I don't think it was like a one, two, three go

Bitch:

I don't

Jerk:

death. It was like a three to four times.

Bitch:

know. It

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

wasn't

Jerk:

this

Bitch:

a

Jerk:

was

Bitch:

science.

Jerk:

fourth

Bitch:

Is

Jerk:

time.

Bitch:

it three

Jerk:

And

Bitch:

or

Jerk:

you may

Bitch:

four?

Jerk:

or may not. And he was weak and blah, blah. So Chrissy's like,

Bitch:

Okay.

Jerk:

uh, Dean, you got to help. But he kind of freezes because it is a tough pitch.

Bitch:

Yeah, and so Sally is just like, he can't help you. No one can. So Christy pulls a knife out and she

Jerk:

stabs

Bitch:

spins

Jerk:

her.

Bitch:

around and she stabs

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

her.

Jerk:

Chrissy kills Sally. Crazy.

Bitch:

And she's like, I guess I'll have to help myself then. Chrissy.

Jerk:

She says that. And then in the midst of that, Marlene runs

Bitch:

She

Jerk:

at

Bitch:

does.

Jerk:

Dean

Bitch:

Crazy.

Jerk:

and well, this is all, anyways, Sam's able to get freed by Chrissy and he's able to stab Marlene. So they're both dead. Ta-da. So now Lee's in the hospital

Bitch:

Great.

Jerk:

because he got bitten a bunch.

Bitch:

And thankfully they got that, you know, VTOL like anti venom.

Jerk:

Just hanging around at the hospital.

Bitch:

And wherever I forgot,

Jerk:

Dodge City.

Bitch:

where did we say this one was? Don't see. They're like, what is Jesus rousing for them? It's just the same.

Jerk:

Well, either way, Dean has some hot advice for Lee, which is fucking quit hunting. You've got a 14 year old kid and she could be regular, a regular kid. So get out now or you're all going to die.

Bitch:

It's not bad! You're just like, hey man, like,

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

she's a child! You care leaving her at home alone

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

a lot?

Jerk:

we

Bitch:

Like

Jerk:

live

Bitch:

this

Jerk:

this.

Bitch:

seems

Jerk:

It didn't

Bitch:

bad!

Jerk:

go so great. So, so that. Well, that too.

Bitch:

pretty sure this is illegal.

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

Violating a lot of felonies

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

here. At least violating

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

some local ordinances.

Jerk:

lots. Oh, there's a

Bitch:

Just something.

Jerk:

lot to a lot to probably notate there. But these kind of like not like

Bitch:

Yeah.

Jerk:

super receptive, but seems at least ponder it. Chrissy and Dean have a cute moment. They she calls him an ass hat and they fist bump. OK.

Bitch:

Yep. And so I guess that her dad, they've talked

Jerk:

Yeah,

Bitch:

and so they're retiring

Jerk:

it is.

Bitch:

and it's

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

very,

Jerk:

Sam

Bitch:

very

Jerk:

and Dean

Bitch:

sweet.

Jerk:

drive away, and then we have the standard exchange of Sam, or Dean asking Sam if Sam's all right, and Sam's like, I'm definitely not, but obviously.

Bitch:

No, I'm not.

Jerk:

But really,

Bitch:

I'm

Jerk:

I just

Bitch:

fine.

Jerk:

wanna do jobs,

Bitch:

But I'm

Jerk:

I just

Bitch:

fine.

Jerk:

wanna work. And Dean's like, okay. Well, they try to do exchange, well, of course, Dean's like, I'm fine, but maybe we should just do some work, and just in the meantime, try to figure out how to kick Dick Roman's ass.

Bitch:

and then he smiles

Jerk:

He does. As Dear

Bitch:

and he

Jerk:

Mr.

Bitch:

smile

Jerk:

Fantasy

Bitch:

cries.

Jerk:

by Traffic comes on.

Bitch:

It's very uncomfortable.

Jerk:

But he just took the advice from Frank.

Bitch:

It's

Jerk:

No?

Bitch:

like me trying to smile like it. I miss making weird faces.

Jerk:

My face hurts from smiling recently. I've done a lot.

Bitch:

See, that's the difference between you and me at events. Like I've got like three days worth of events this week. I like that fucking smile.

Jerk:

I have to. Kiss me if I do.

Bitch:

Yeah, so, so

Jerk:

All

Bitch:

who

Jerk:

right.

Bitch:

was in this

Jerk:

So

Bitch:

bitch?

Jerk:

, his career goes back to the:

Bitch:

No!

Jerk:

to watch it like anyways. He was in multiple episodes of 21 Jump Street. He was an ongoing character in the commission. He was the. Rolling Stone editor in the movie Prozac Nation. He was a recurring character in Da Vinci's Inquest. He was one of the police officers in the movie Sucker Punch. He was Bolan in the show. I was a recurring character in Hell on Wheels. He was a character named Ludlow in the Man of Steel movie. He was Franklin Dobbs in Wayward Pines series, a miniseries. He was a. Remo Wallace in Bates Motel as a regular character, Jimmy in Virgin River, and Sheriff Baxter in School Spirits. All those are reoccurring characters. So quite a, and that's just some highlights of things that I was super familiar with or current stuff. Sally was played by, oh gosh, I misspelled her last name and I'm not very good at what it is, Jesus. Megan Ori. I'll have to look it up. I'm sorry. She was in episode. She's been in episodes of Smallville, Painkiller Jane. She was Jill in the movie John Tucker Must Die. She was a regular character named Juliet in the show True Justice, which was a Steven Seagal TV series. And then she played Ruby, AKA Red Riding Hood in Once Upon a Time as a very regular character on there. Marlene does not have quite the resume, I would say, as the as the others do, was played by Paula Lindbergh. Did a lot of anime voices, actually, though. I thought that was interesting. And it's been episodes of shows like Fringe in there. That's

Bitch:

So

Jerk:

fine.

Bitch:

what

Jerk:

I agree.

Bitch:

did you think?

Jerk:

No, I actually really liked how they're addressing the morning. I won't lie that I think that's actually a pretty a pretty solid approach. Frank, I still have Frank's character, so that's cool to have that ongoing. And then

Bitch:

I love Frank.

Jerk:

look, was I was this storyline totally like driving in any way? No, but it was a good monster that we throw in while you've got some heavy shit going on. So I'll take it. Does that make sense?

Bitch:

Yeah, yeah,

Jerk:

It's interesting

Bitch:

it was great.

Jerk:

seeing them interact with

Bitch:

Guess

Jerk:

other

Bitch:

he's

Jerk:

hunters.

Bitch:

fine.

Jerk:

I think that's always, I

Bitch:

It

Jerk:

think

Bitch:

was

Jerk:

that's

Bitch:

fun.

Jerk:

kind of interesting.

Bitch:

I always liked the

Jerk:

Yeah.

Bitch:

idea of the Hunter network. I love the idea of the Hunter network. Because it's also like, I don't know, underground cool fighters, that just seems cool. Yeah, you're the cool kids. But then you're also like, wow, who's a shitty way to raise a kid? No, no, so anyways, it was you know, we got it here.

Jerk:

It was

Bitch:

It was.

Jerk:

fine. I'm not bummed. I'm not like mad at it.

Bitch:

Yeah.

Jerk:

So, well, no. No.

Bitch:

Sometimes that's okay. You know, we're upset. We're sad or missing Bobby. So we'll take

Jerk:

It

Bitch:

a

Jerk:

you couldn't they couldn't go too

Bitch:

A fine

Jerk:

fluffy because

Bitch:

one to

Jerk:

that

Bitch:

get

Jerk:

would

Bitch:

us

Jerk:

have been

Bitch:

through

Jerk:

weird. Right. So I kind of appreciate that it was like this.

Bitch:

We have.

Jerk:

OK, this is good. You know, it's OK. It's just OK. Episode five. We're addressing the morning. We've got the we've got the mission. We've got this under like you say you saw the ongoing storyline with Leviathan we carried through by Frank. You've got a fucking monster. I actually think it was pretty smart, even though it wasn't the most compelling episode. That's all I got though.

Bitch:

All

Jerk:

All

Bitch:

right,

Jerk:

right.

Bitch:

so on that note, cheers jerk.
