I'm Danny Brown,

Speaker:
00:00:06

Speaker:
00:00:08

00:00:10

Speaker:
00:00:17
And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:
00:00:19
When it comes to your podcast website,
Speaker:
00:00:25
it's really up to you what you put on it.
Speaker:
00:00:27
After all, it's your site, your show,
Speaker:
00:00:29
and your decision what you want visitors to the site to do.
Speaker:
00:00:32
But whatever you do place on your website,
Speaker:
00:00:33
there are three things that I recommend
Speaker:
00:00:35
always having on there.
Speaker:
00:00:37
The first one is a web player
Speaker:
00:00:38
that makes it easy to listen to an episode
Speaker:
00:00:40
anywhere on a website.
Speaker:
00:00:41
So if you're on the website's homepage,
Speaker:
00:00:43
you have a podcast player there.
Speaker:
00:00:45
Obviously, if you're on individual post pages,
Speaker:
00:00:47
you'd have a podcast player there as well.
Speaker:
00:00:49
The main thing is, no matter where visitors are
Speaker:
00:00:51
on a website, you're making it easy for them
Speaker:
00:00:52
to listen to your episode,
Speaker:
00:00:53
whether that's a trailer to promote it,
Speaker:
00:00:55
your latest episode, or a featured episode.
Speaker:
00:00:58
The second thing is making it really easy to follow your show.
Speaker:
00:01:01
After all, if you want your podcast to grow, you've got to make it easy for listeners to do that.
Speaker:
00:01:06
So whether that's a sidebar or a call to action box on your homepage,
Speaker:
00:01:09
have your most relevant follow options there.
Speaker:
00:01:11
So Apple Podcasts, Spotify, maybe Pocket Casts, Goodpods, etc.
Speaker:
00:01:15
And then your RSS feed.
Speaker:
00:01:16
That way listeners can either choose the apps you offer,
Speaker:
00:01:18
or copy your RSS feed and add to their own preferred app.
Speaker:
00:01:21
And the third one is a simple call to action.
Speaker:
00:01:24
Now this can be either growing your newsletter list,
Speaker:
00:01:26
it can be a leave a review,
Speaker:
00:01:27
or it can be social proof.
Speaker:
00:01:29
So for example, on the One Minute Podcast Tips site,
Speaker:
00:01:32
I have some Goodpods badges that shows
Speaker:
00:01:33
One Minute Podcast Tip is the number one podcast
Speaker:
00:01:35
in the tech charts.
Speaker:
00:01:36
It's just a nice little way to show listeners
Speaker:
00:01:38
that your podcast is worth listening to.
Speaker:
00:01:40
So as mentioned, it's really up to you what you put on there,
Speaker:
00:01:42
but these are the three that I'd always recommend.
Speaker:
00:01:45
Until the next time, happy podcasting.
Speaker:
00:01:47
(audience applauding)
Speaker:
00:01:51
Thanks for listening.
Speaker:
00:01:52
If you enjoy One Minute Podcast Tips,

00:01:54

00:01:56

Speaker:

Until the next time, happy podcasting.
