Your ego is about YOU, nobody else. It has NOTHING to do with HER, and EVERYTHING to do with YOU. Ego is about humiliation, not humility. It’s about shame, false hope, lust, and wishful thinking. It isn’t always bad, because it is there to protect you from bad things. But in its dysfunction, it can become bad. When it comes to how you feel about your marriage, you need to ask yourself: is it LOVE or is it your EGO?
