Shownotes
When we speak of performances, we perhaps picture a stage or a big screen, and an atmosphere that is far from the lives of ordinary people. However, this book, The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life, points out that, in fact, all of us are acting performances by presenting to others a certain image or social role in our daily life, with or without intention. Since the book was published, it has long been regarded as a classic in sociology.
