Tina (:

We are.

Robb (:

yeah, we are. That's weird. Okay, here we go. Well, it didn't give me the countdown. did it? On my side I couldn't see it. Okay, here we go. Ready?

Tina (:

Ha

Tina (:

It did. It did.

Robb (:

And welcome to another show of Don't Get This Twisted. I am Rob, along with my co host as always, Tina. How you doing, Tina?

Tina (:

I'ma hangin' in there.

Robb (:

Hey, so I I believe that this episode you're on vacation. Is that true? Is that why we're doing this?

Tina (:

Mm-hmm.

Tina (:

yes, I'm going on vacation, yes.

Robb (:

Yeah. So if you're listening to this episode, she is actually on vacation and I'm sitting hanging out at my house.

Tina (:

Although recording it were both sitting in our house

Robb (:

Probably yes. but but but when you listen to this on Wednesday the whatever, I'm probably sitting at my house playing with my dog and and watching television. East Coast it is. So last week we talked basically about making sure we talk to people before death.

Tina (:

Not be on the east coast, so.

Yes.

Robb (:

You were nice enough to send me a poem that after you read it, I kind of was like, this is perfect. it's it's called Instructions Before Visiting Earth by a guy named James McCrae, who

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

I guess this poem has been he shared it in late 2025. It's been read or listened to over a hundred million times, which is crazy. It's been translated into several languages, performed at Coachella, and featured in Vogue. he's putting out a he's putting out a full poetry book in 2027. So next year. And it's gonna be called Instructions Before Visiting Earth.

Tina (:

Wow.

Tina (:

Well there you go.

Robb (:

It says it's gonna weave together themes such as death, romance, digital isolation, aliens, and the modern search to rediscover God. This book offers an invitation to deeper presence in a strange and turbulent world. Well, yes, I will totally agree with that statement. We are in definitely a turbulent world. So I'm gonna read this and then we'll go down the line of how cool it is. Because I think it's very cool.

Tina (:

Yes.

Tina (:

talk about it. Yeah.

Robb (:

It's called Instructions Before Visiting Earth. It says in the event that you wake up and find your soul separated from source and manifest into material form, don't panic. Your condition is only temporary. You have been selected for the opportunity of human incarnation. This 3D simulation is designed to break up the monotony of eternity by giving you a fully immersed experience as a distinct ego identity.

Your body will serve as a physical avatar as you navigate dense and dramatic reality. There will be distractions, causing you to forget the true nature and origin. You will experience a range of emotions from joy to loneliness to despair. But remember, no matter what trials and traumas you encounter, your soul remains perfectly safe. At times, you will feel lost or afraid.

This is totally normal. If you ever need guidance, simply slow down your busy mind and bring your awareness to a quiet place inside yourself.

On this planet, nothing is permanent. People and things come and go. You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments, only to lose everything you hold dear. So cling to nothing too tightly, even yourself. And when it's time to let go, let go with grace. For nothing is owned, only borrowed. As we walk among the people on the planet, try to be a good guest.

Tread lightly. Remember that you are only visiting. Don't make a mess. Listen more than you speak. Give more than you take. Don't keep your soft heart locked inside a glass cage protected from wear and tear. You'll never make it out alive, and time passes quickly. So come back with some battle scars and good stories to tell.

Tina (:

I love that.

Robb (:

me too. It's it is a very poignant thing to to think about. He he hits on so many things of what it means to be alive.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

I think we

Robb (:

We think we have so much time and we don't. You know, I sometimes I have to tell people how we know each other. And it's very odd to tell them that I've known you since I was in the tenth grade. And and then people go, so when was that?

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

A bazillion years ago.

Robb (:

And and I go, it was nineteen eighty-seven. And people even now that they've listened to this show hundreds and hundreds of times, they go, Wow, I mean, that's a long time. And yeah, but it doesn't seem like that long ago.

Tina (:

No.

Robb (:

And and we've lived lives, both of us.

Tina (:

Absolutely. But our lives have always just intersected at like really good times in our life. Like we talk all the time now because obviously we're on the podcast. So this is a weekly thing we do and and we do talk. I mean there's stuff I think both of us don't share with each other even now. But but we know we could say whatever we wanted to say. I mean I could literally tell you anything and be like, dude I here it goes, you know.

Robb (:

You know, and

Robb (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

Yeah. If I exactly. If if there was something that I just had to tell somebody, I know that you for one won't judge me. and even if you did, you would probably keep it to yourself because we both know

Tina (:

I would laugh it off 'cause we both make everybody makes mistakes, nobody's I don't care. I mean, if you killed somebody I'd have maybe something to say about it. Obviously. I'd I'd judge you a little bit, you know, but day to day stuff Yeah.

Robb (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

That's different though. Yeah. within reason, within reason. You know, if you know, if I came to you and said like, you know, this happened with this person, y you would probably go, Yeah.

Tina (:

I see it.

Robb (:

Yeah. You know, i look you you've you've heard a lot of stories with people that have been in my life r recently, since this podcast actually started. and

Tina (:

Mm-hmm.

Robb (:

He look, I I almost moved to North Carolina. You know, I've like weird things have happened. And but I've never felt like I had to worry about it. And I when you look at this certain poem, and there's a lot of things that really kind of sh when I read it it is great. Like he talks about

you know, find your soul separate from source and manifest it into a material form, don't panic. Because your condition is only temporary. And it's true. All of our conditions are temporary. Whether it's a month, a year, you know, five years, that's still temporary in the scheme of death. You know what I mean? Like it

Tina (:

That's true.

Tina (:

Yes.

Robb (:

Some people go through hardship their whole life and and never get out of it, but s do it with a smile.

And or try to. Or try I mean, that's all we can do. But you know this has a lot of religious undertones that I think a lot of people would probably pass up. I like that he says, you've been selected for the opportunity of human incarnation. Only because the if you look at the odds of you being born are very, very slim.

Tina (:

Or try to. Try to, yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

In the scheme of how many sperm come out.

Tina (:

That's true.

Robb (:

You you getting in the egg is one in millions. Millions plural.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Tina (:

Yeah. I remember that a normal squirt of of semen on a certain level is around seventeen million. When I was doing the fertility treatments, they were saying that was just a normal push. So one in seventeen million on average. And then there's men that have way more and I mean that or men that have way less, but that's the average. So

Robb (:

Seaman.

Robb (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

I think your chances of winning the lottery are around that same t that same sort of

Robb (:

yeah, I I'm I'm probably gonna tell you it's you probably have a better chance of winning the lotto. Probably. let's see. I'm trying to just for giggles. So the odds of you being born. You re how you you ready for this? Fuck crazy. They're astronomical, actually.

Tina (:

Probably, yeah.

Robb (:

Often described as one in four hundred trillion.

Tina (:

Whoa.

Robb (:

Yeah. Because of genetic combinations, timing, ancestral survival, environment, randomness. It's a where it truly is a miracle wrapped in math.

Tina (:

Yes.

Robb (:

Yeah. It it's but that's crazy. So like the math of us being alive is insanely small. So I like that he puts that like you you've been selected because you really have. I mean and I don't think a lot of us put that into consideration.

Tina (:

Yes.

Tina (:

Really I mean, when I read it I was like I've never even thought that this is this is an opportunity to do something that that

it i it it stops the monotony, just like it says, of eternity.

Robb (:

Yeah. It's it's crazy to me that when you break things down on this this very existence we get, we get a very small amount of years to

go through these ups and downs. You know, and and I like that he that he makes this feel modern. Where like he's like this 3D simulation is designed to break out the monotony of eternity by giving you a fully immersed experience as a distinct ego identity. Cause that's what we all are. We're all as much as we have similar byproducts of the world, we're all still a very distinct ego or person.

Tina (:

Check it out.

Tina (:

Yes.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Robb (:

And and that's what makes us have friends of certain dark humors or you know, people who are overly romantic or people that are stubborn or whatever. We all have this very small thing of who we are.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Robb (:

Now here now here's the and here's the other thing that I at least the way I read it, and I guess we can kind of discuss how how we read this. I like when he goes, Your body will serve as your physical avatar as you navigate a dense and dramatic reality. You know, I think that what he's telling you is, yeah, you do get this body that's your physical avatar, but it's going to break. Like you do get this it's

Tina (:

Yeah. It's not meant to last.

Robb (:

It's not meant to last. And at some point, it might not be the greatest thing you've ever done is get inside this this avatar because of we grow old and we get tired and we, you know, we hurt and all these certain things. but and then the second part of this I think is great. There will be many distractions causing you to forget your true nature and origin.

Tina (:

Right.

Robb (:

You'll experience a range of emotions from joy to loneliness to despair. But remember, no matter what trials and traumas you encounter, your soul remains perfectly safe. There's a lot to unpack with that. you know, w when I went to his page and it, you know, obviously he's a religious guy.

Tina (:

That's so true. Yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

But he is right, because you're look, you you you're gonna go through all these ups and downs, but your soul is safe as long as you do your best to keep it safe. You know, y you do have some kind of armor you can put or you can change direction you know, a little bit here and there. but it's great. I mean

You we we all go through these range of emotions. You're gonna have joy, you're definitely gonna have loneliness. And if you're of any age and haven't had a little bit of despair, I would be shocked. Yeah. Yeah. Because look, we we learn from all three of those.

Tina (:

You're very fortunate and you're missing out.

Absolutely. I don't learn from doing things right, that's for darn sure. No, I don't really think I do.

Robb (:

Yeah.

I mean, I think you do. No, I disagree with that. I think I think you learn from joy. You learn what you you might want forever. That's learning, even though you might not ever get it. But the loneliness and despair you definitely learn from. so for me, you know, those are great. And I like that he's like.

Tina (:

Yeah, I get that.

Tina (:

Is true.

Robb (:

He he gives you hope and and tells you the reality at the same time. Like at times you may feel lost or afraid. This is totally normal. If you ever need guidance, simply slow down your busy mind and bring your awareness to a quiet place inside yourself.

Tina (:

Mm-hmm.

Robb (:

For I I really like that because I think most of us

Sometimes where you know, meditation, prayer,

whatever it is that you that you need to really open up your mind and be by yourself and think things out is super duper important. I I'm much like you, I like music.

Tina (:

yeah.

Tina (:

Yes.

Robb (:

I find myself 'cause I listen to lots of different kinds of music. I've talked about it on here. I listen to incredibly crazy metal, like screaming.

But I also listen to country. So because I like that. I listen to old school hip hop. But I also listen to I love spa music. You if you have any kind of streaming service, just go on and say, you know, play string play spa music. It's like this incredibly relaxing, you know, like so at night I put that on a lot because I want to be in a different frame of mind when I go to sleep.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Yes.

Robb (:

I do my best not to look at my phone for the last 30 minutes now. I try to put on some music, hang out with my dog, just to kind of go to a different plane almost, just to be to settle my soul. Yeah, to disconnect from the reality of things. And I like that he's kind of saying that you you do have to s slow down your busy mind. Because our mind, you know, the the idle mind is the devil's playground.

Tina (:

To disconnect. Yeah.

Robb (:

And you can talk yourself into the worst day of your life, but you can also really talk yourself into the best one. And I I think I'm really glad you brought this poem to me, because like I'm a I love writing poetry, which is most people think is the craziest thing. They're like, Really, you? so when I when I read these kind of things, I try to see

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Ha ha.

Robb (:

what he's trying to say to everyone, right? Because this is this is a poem about life and how you can deal with all these certain things. Because if you were someone coming to this planet and you're visiting through a new soul, because that's what he's talking about, birth. He's talking of visiting this planet is an you know an allegory for being born.

Tina (:

Right.

Robb (:

it's great because the next line is on this planet nothing is permanent.

So it nothing's permanent. It's you know, even because we've just talked about death on last week's show. Death is permanent, but you can keep those people alive in your head.

Tina (:

That is so true.

Tina (:

I also feel like the veil between that world and this one, as I've gotten older, has gotten thinner. And I don't know if that was because I think it started or I really noticed it when my mom passed because now I see

I never looked like my mom before. I mean I didn't look like I was a completely different, you know, race or anything from my mom, but I always look like my dad's side of the family and that's what everybody would say about me. Now since my mom's been gone, I see my mom in the mirror, like just brief glimpses or I hear her in the way I say something or I say something the way she

She used to say it like it it comes out of my mouth and I'm like, my gosh, that's straight mom, you know? and and I notice the feeling when I do talk to her, I feel closer than I did when she died. Like when she died, I literally felt like I was holding a balloon and somebody cut the string. But now, 'cause I'm I'm also aging and getting older, I feel like that veil's getting like thinner and thinner.

And so I could I feel like I could address her more or I could have conversations. I don't hear her physically, but inside my heart, inside my soul, we're we're still connecting.

Robb (:

right. I I the the dead will always speak to you. And and obviously most of that is in memories or in you might hear something, another statement and it just hit jogs something that they used to say. I think kinda like you two, for the first time in my lifetime, I look in the mirror and I see my dad.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

Like I see how I do look like him. You know No, not at all. Yeah. Like and mostly now that I'm a little more salt and peppery and that, you know, I remember when my dad started getting gray hair and I have short hair like my dad now. And so like there's it's a lot more easy to see that. which is really even funnier because I see my mom and my son.

Tina (:

Where you didn't realize that before, did you? Yeah, see same with me.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Really?

Robb (:

Yeah. Where he does look like me and he does look like his mom, but like he has my mom's almond eyes. There's a lot of like he looked Asian when he was smaller. Like he had like very almondy eyes. Yeah, and my mom had that. So so it's funny, like and I remember my ex wife even saying that. She's like she was like, He has your mom's eyes and at first I was like, No and then I was like, yeah, he kinda does. So my mom's genealogy is strong for sure.

Tina (:

Really?

Tina (:

That's cool.

Robb (:

let's go. Where where are we at here? people and things will come and go. You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments, only to lose everything you hold dear. That is the fucking truth. On such a level, look, love is the greatest thing and the most evil thing ever. Because

Tina (:

Yes.

Robb (:

It and I don't mean like love is evil, it's just the loss of it is. You know, we you find someone that you hold dear to you and you're and you lose it. And for whatever reason. And I and I'm talking about it could been when you're 17, it can be when you're 54. You know, there's it when you lose it is irrelevant because it's something that sits

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

It's like a burning fire in your heart, right? You it and then i I don't think it ever is fully extinguished extinguished. My own personal thing. You you always have a fond memory or a fond little flame of everyone you've ever, you know, had a serious relationship with. You just understand that you can't let that hurt you anymore. You know, and

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Agreed.

Robb (:

We we know lots of people that have stayed in relationships way too long. I it's just a fact. I mean shit I someone I worked with, she was with her ex-husband for like seventeen years in the most toxic alcoholic relationship I've ever seen. It's it was yeah, it was brutal. and when they had good times they were great, but man, the bad was bad.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Tina (:

Good times.

Robb (:

And you know, and I've heard stories from other people where it you know, look, that they just stay too long and you can't for whatever reason. Money, kids, this. We've talked about it on here a bazillion fucking times. this poem kind of says it all. You're gonna lose something and it's sucky, but nothing's permanent. Yes. And it's what that's what your life is, the human experience. It's

Tina (:

It's part of the human experience.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Robb (:

It's pretty cool. So cling to nothing too tightly, even yourself. And when it's time to let go, let go with grace. For nothing is owned, only borrowed. I wanna say that's probably my favorite line. there's a great song.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

I'm sure you've probably heard it. It's by thirty-eight special. It was big when we were young. It was it's like hold on loosely. And

Tina (:

Hold on loosely. You know, my ex used to say that that song really struck a chord that that was like my song. Like that's how he had to learn to to love me 'cause you it I don't know, it just resonated with him.

Robb (:

It it it I think it resonates with a lot of people because it it is true. If you do hold on too tightly, you're probably going to get hurt. but the line in that's great. Hold on loosely but never let go. Yeah, and and that's kind of you know and like I like what he says, like even yourself, you can't

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

So yeah.

Robb (:

If you it to me, I read that as if you hold on too tightly to yourself, you you don't experience anything.

Tina (:

Well, I think that anything too rigid on this earth isn't going to it's not gonna stick because everything's organic, everything flows, there's a beat to everything. You can't hold on so tight. There's there's nothing to hold on to. Life is still gonna happen. Yeah.

Robb (:

It correct. Yeah, and the way that that he frames this is great. It's like nothing is owned here. You're only borrowing time. Time is borrowed. You know, we we try to and look, I'm I'm all up for owning things. I don't want to be that guy that's like, don't own anything. No. But

Tina (:

Don't get too literal.

Robb (:

But also don't make it your life journey. You know, there's you know, people wanna own a house and a boat and twenty cars and this and that, but they don't want to own love, which I think is worth way more. You know, I've seen I've seen people who don't have a lot, but have each other and are the happiest people on the planet.

Tina (:

Right.

Tina (:

And then there's other people that own everything they could possibly want and they are miserable in every other way.

Robb (:

Yeah. So again, i everything here is only borrowed and it's time and when time is running out you you don't get to cash in for more.

Tina (:

Yeah, exactly. I and it says to do it with grace, I believe. Like I I so I've been close to so many people when they're at their final hours. But I remember thinking to myself, my grandfather when he passed, my hand was on his chest. I I literally had my hand on his chest when he took his last breath and he had quit eating.

Robb (:

Mm-hmm.

Tina (:

The week before, like we we stopped feeding him exactly a w a week before he passed because he just wasn't eating anymore. But he he spent time with everybody that showed up, said what he needed to say, and then he like gracefully slipped into

almost a coma where you could tell he c he was still here and he still heard things but he wasn't communicating anymore. And then he just took his last breath and passed and it was so

I remember it feeling graceful. The way he did it was so graceful. My grandmother was kicking and screaming when she passed. She was pissed off. You could you could feel it. You could feel that energy. But my grandfather was like you could tell that he he did live a life where he said what he wanted to say and he was the way he wanted to be and he let go and it was such a cool thing. And and then it gets even better. So then, you know, we we called everybody to come and see him. It was our

before the the cemetery came and got him and because we're native when they took the gurney out of the house there was people from the front door all the way to the car that they were putting him in and they were all singing a native song like sending him off and we walked behind him and then they got in the car and as they drove away the sun literally like

went behind the mountain and was done. Like he he left with the sunlight in the west, which is exactly how our our tribe describes when you leave, you leave in that direction. And I God, I think about that all the time. Like how graceful was it? Like how did he get to be so he was always cool. But I mean, like that was like the final like

Tina (:

Okay, it's over. You know, it was almost like a a sigh of relief. It was sad, missed the hell out of that guy to this day, but the way he did it so gracefully and lovingly and without like hurting anybody. It it was neat.

Robb (:

He he probably came to the realization of life. You know, you

Tina (:

Ha I think he always had it. That man was amazing.

Robb (:

You know, you you you probably live he he he I'm sure knew he lived a good life. And sometimes it's I think that at the end, if you're if you know you've done the best you can, it's it's probably much easier to let go. You know.

Tina (:

Yeah. For him it looked like it was

I don't know, wanted. Like it was it was so graceful and it was just so I'm gonna go now. You know super cool, yeah.

Robb (:

Amazing. Yeah. here we go. as you walk among the people on this planet, try to be a good guest. Tread lightly. Remember that you are only visiting. I I to I like my thing of that is you know don't be a dick. Like, you know, you you're vi don't don't ruin someone else's good time.

Tina (:

Right.

Robb (:

You know, be a good guest. It's okay. Like, you're gonna have your ups and downs, but don't try not to leave this world, you know, shittier than you came into it. I guess that's that's how I kind of took that line. don't make a mess. Listen more than you speak, give more than you take. Don't keep your soft heart locked inside a glass cage, protected from wear and tear.

Tina (:

Exactly.

Robb (:

I think that one is is very very big because I think a lot of people do try to protect things so much that they never they never experience certain things. Like

Tina (:

Right.

Robb (:

To me, like it's the one person who got their heart broken when they were seventeen or eighteen and then decided, I'm never gonna let anyone hurt me like that ever again. But then you just never let anyone in ever again.

You we you can't live your life like that. 'Cause if you do, if you live your life like that, you're never going to find any kind of happiness. And and it doesn't even have to be a relationship. It just has to be don't don't

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

put yourself in a glass cage and and try to protect every single thing. You can't. And you'll you'll be on your deathbed going, man, I wish I would have done this. Or I wish I would have asked, I wish I would have asked her out. Or I should have called her back after I screwed up or whatever it is. So you can't live like that. the because where and tear is going to happen. I mean

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Mm, yeah.

Robb (:

And and I that could even be on a physical front. Like, look, I abused my body and I'm probably going to pay for it in the next ten years, fifteen years. assuming I live that long. so yeah, I I'm going to I'm gonna pay for it, but man, I got to experience things that most people don't. So kind of cool.

Tina (:

Mm-hmm.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

All right, so here's the here's the last couple of sentences that I think make this poem amazing. You'll never make it out alive, and time passes quickly. So come back with some battle scars and good stories to tell. That reminds me of something you would say.

Tina (:

That's right. Well, I think

We've talked about it before. I don't wanna be on my deathbed saying, I wish I would have done something. I wanna be on my b deathbed saying, I really fucked that up, but l sit down, I got a good story for you. You know, I I wanna be able to have lived and without regret. Minimal I mean, everybody has regret. I think there's things that we could always find that we could regret, but I d I don't want to. I wanna play it all out. I wanna live it all as best I can. I wanna say

I I did everything in my power to enjoy life to the fullest and to encourage everybody else to as well. I think that's important.

Robb (:

Yes. Look, it you don't make it out of this alive. Okay. No matter how long you live, whether it's until you're twenty-one or until you're a hundred and one. You're you're checking out of this place. So and like we said on last week's, the time passes so quickly. I mean

Tina (:

Absolutely. I mean, who would have thought thirty seven years later, thirty eight years later, you and I would be sitting here talking about life and death and everything in between. I didn't see that coming.

Robb (:

Yeah. It no and and what we've done in between that feels like a snap of your finger. Marriage, kids, raising people, this happens, death over here. Like you know what I mean? Like all these different things and they ha I mean I can tell you

Tina (:

It does, it does.

Tina (:

Raising people. Yes, yes, yes.

Robb (:

I remember certain things like it was yesterday that happened when I was eighteen years old. Like and and I c will tell you that I can't remember a week and a half ago.

Tina (:

Yes.

Tina (:

Well yeah, if it doesn't if it doesn't sit in your heart, if it doesn't resonate with your heart, you normally don't remember it like you do the the times where it really catches you.

Robb (:

Yeah, you're I I think our internal hard drive remembers what it needs to remember. It doesn't need to remember that I forgot to pick up, you know, potato chips last week or I forgot the pimple medicine for the kid. It it just doesn't. It

Tina (:

Give you that.

Robb (:

It remembers, hey, I remember meeting this person, you know, when I worked at this place that I dated. Or I remember meeting someone who became a roommate at someone other girl's house that we were visiting and I became great friends with them. Like these are you know, I can tell you where I met my best friend. We were walking home from school and there was a fist fight that was happening and we both sat there and watched it and then walked to the corner and he crossed the street and I crossed the street and I go

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

do you live over here? And he goes, Yeah, I live right over here in this house. I go, Well, I live in these apartments. And that was forty something years ago. So, but it but it is quick and it passes quickly.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

The last line is you, Tina, to a degree. That's so high that because you've said it on here many, many times, come back with some battle scars and good stories to tell. I have tried to do that more in the last ten years than I probably did in the first 40.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

I'll give you that.

Robb (:

only because I think I see it's easy to look up on the wall and see the clock ticking now. You know what I mean? Where it it wasn't so blatantly in front of me before. So I I'm doing my best to kind of live not on the edge, but definitely make sure that I'm living. I've went

Tina (:

Yeah. yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

Not that I've traveled all over the place, but I've definitely done things and went places and visited people that I might not have done, you know, years ago. Did I move to a city that I didn't know anybody twice?

Tina (:

Yeah, you did. I and I'm still afraid to do that and I know I need to do something like that, but I don't know that it's gonna happen.

Robb (:

It's it I will definitely tell you that look, I've I did it to Vegas and then I did it where I live now. and for whatever reason, you know, I've chased girls, I've done all kinds of dumb shit. but at the end, I think that those are things that have made me who I am. And I'm so glad that I got to experience these things. because it's it's

Tina (:

For sure.

Robb (:

made me a better for one, made me a better man, made me a better dad. if I didn't meet certain people, I you know, a good friend of mine who's female told me a lot of these things that was like, you know, you should probably do this because this will make you more attracted, attractable if you do this, if you do this, if you do that.

You know, sometimes you need to hear from other people to kinda help you along the way. And I have and it's I'm glad I got to to chat with, you know, people and l have experience 'cause I wouldn't have done it. And

Tina (:

Yeah. Well I remember even going to our reunion, you were like, Nope, nope, nope. I'm all Rob, I got you a ticket. Now will you go? We had a blast.

Robb (:

Nope.

Mm-hmm.

that was a great night. Yeah.

Tina (:

It was so stupid. We did not take anything seriously.

Robb (:

Mm mm. Not that was a that was a no we've just bullshitted that one through. Yeah, that was a good one. Should I went to our that high school reunion in shorts and a t shirt, I like, fuck this. I'm not and and had a gr good old time. So, you know.

Tina (:

That was awesome.

It shorts and a t shirt.

And the one before that you went in a three piece suit, which was that was funny shit to me right there. Like but I was like, just go, let's just do it. Come on. I I took four people that year. We had a blast.

Robb (:

Yeah. Yeah. I yeah.

Robb (:

Yeah. Hey and and that and and and truly going to that high school reunion ended up getting me laid.

Tina (:

You're welcome. I I think I did that for you quite a bit though.

Robb (:

You know what mean? Yeah, there's a c there's a couple. There are yeah, there are definitely a few and truly probably other ones that could have happened, I just didn't I didn't push it. Mm mm. Yeah. I I would definitely say you're a good wingman. You're like the setup king. Like I've there's been some some humdingers too, some like good ones. Yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

You didn't grasp at it. I n I'm a great wingman though, I've discovered.

Tina (:

Ha ha ha.

Tina (:

You're welcome.

Robb (:

Yeah, I can't I can't can't really say anything bad about that.

Tina (:

And that's the funny part, 'cause everybody's like, And you and Rob have never and I'm like, Not even minuscule, nothing. There's nothing. But I've I've set it up for

Robb (:

Like, no. No. Yeah. Yeah, truly, and and again, I'm sure people, you know, have s said all kinds of things, but like to me, you're you're the sister I never had. You know what I mean? Like, because I I only had brothers and I and I I've said things to you that I've said to nobody else.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Aw Yeah.

Robb (:

Because I know that you're going to you're a good boomerang. If I send something your way, it's coming back. What it it might be right into my hand and I'm like, whoo, that was close. And it might be right at my head. But at least it's it's honesty on a huge level. And that's kind of like that last line is is huge. You're gonna have battle scars. Like and

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

If you think you're not, if you think that like life's gonna be the best thing ever, it's it's as good as you make it. Right? yeah. I mean, look, I I got to do pro wrestling for 20 years. I I got to experience things a lot of people haven't. I've done things to myself that people to this day go, I can't believe you've done that.

Tina (:

It's as good as you take it too. Yeah.

Robb (:

and my forehead my forehead shows it. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. And but at the end of the day, I have so many stories that I tell people to this day. I matter of fact, I told somebody today about wrestling somebody. that

Tina (:

I've told you that so many times. Yeah. I was like, why do you want to do that? Yeah.

Robb (:

At the end of the day, I'll I'll be at the end and be able to go, I did this and someone somewhere has a picture of me with my name on it that I signed at some show twenty years ago. So I

Tina (:

Yep. I have one.

Robb (:

As much as it might be a very small thing, I someone got I ex gave experience to somebody, either helping them in the business, training them, or being a spectacle for them, which is kind of good for me. And I have scars. And then I have battle scars of relationships. Lots of them. Yeah, and and as much as I want to say that I've learned my lesson, I haven't. And I've

Tina (:

Yeah. Don't we all?

Robb (:

you know, continuously have you know, screwed things up, but that's life.

Tina (:

But that's that's how you learn too. And and life is messy. Life is messy. It's not it's not just all cut and dry, neat and clean. Please I wish it would be so much so much easier to not eat the shit sandwich that, you know, we all create. But that's part of the fun, like

Robb (:

And but it's life to me. Yeah.

Robb (:

No. Me too.

Robb (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

I don't live by the skin of my teeth anymore. Like when I was younger I did some really stupid shit that I I think like, what was I thinking? I wasn't. I was a kid and I was dumb and you don't learn until you start to, you know, scuff up your knees. but

Robb (:

Mm-hmm.

Robb (:

Yes.

Tina (:

But I'm still the one that'll I look, I'm I'm driving a Harley. Who how many women could say, I take my dad out on my Harley to go for Chinese food? 'Cause I do. You know, like and and I wanna be that person. I wanna be like, you know, I read a book one time that on how women were in

Robb (:

Right.

Tina (:

in foreign countries where they weren't allowed to feel and they weren't allowed to talk and they weren't allowed to read and they weren't allowed to d have an opinion and I am so all those things on the flip side. And I was like, I was given an opportunity to be born and raised in a place where I have all of these gifts. There's no fucking way I'm not gonna balls out use every last one of them. Because if if I was a woman that couldn't, I would be

Robb (:

Right.

Tina (:

wishing, I would be praying, I would be begging for some of what I have every day. I was born to have every day. And so I just feel like

My dad tells me all the time, you just like to drive things till the wheels fall off. And I do. And I don't wanna stop. And I don't think anybody should stop. Like this is this is our human experience. And it's it's our choice to do whatever the hell we want to with it.

Robb (:

Yeah.

Robb (:

My thing is this is that you get one shot at this, so if you're gonna have a shit sandwich, put some jelly on it.

Tina (:

There you go. I don't know. I wouldn't put jelly on anything but yeah, something, you know. Something.

Robb (:

That's because that's

Yeah, yeah, whate whatever whatever your thing is. If you want lettuce, mayo, whatever. Put whatever you like on it. But i 'cause it's it's it's hard enough as it is. and just like last week, this poem kinda tells you a lot too of make sure the people in that are in your life that you're having this human experience with, you you make sure they know it.

Tina (:

Yeah.

Tina (:

Absolutely.

Robb (:

Alrighty, look at that. Another show in the books. enjoy your vacation that you're gonna be on when this comes out. you're welcome.

Tina (:

Whoop whoop.

Tina (:

Thank you. I'm really looking forward to it.
