- Roster news - Mathieu Perreault had a second surgery to his eye which will push back his return. Adam Brooks was placed on waivers on Tuesday and claimed by the Golden Knights the following day. Cole Caufield was recalled from Laval on Thursday. Alex Belzile was assigned to the Rocket. Cayden Primeau received his first two starts of the season. Mattias Norlinder made his NHL debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Carey Price skated alone at Bell Sports Complex this week. Joel Edmundson will participate in morning skate on Saturday but will not play. On Friday, the Canadiens announced that GM Marc Bergevin had tested positive for COVID-19.
