Summary
Do you ever feel that knowing how to hear God's voice is a gift reserved only for "super spiritual" people? It's easy to look at our messy kitchens, chaotic commutes, and busy schedules and think that God couldn't possibly have a personal frequency just for us. But what if we told you that divine connection fits perfectly into your very normal, real life?
In this episode of the Arise, Women of God podcast, host Tamara K. Anderson and guest Tiffany Fletcher break down a simple guide for normal people on how to hear God. We discuss why God is just as likely to meet you at the kitchen sink or the laundry room as He is in a church pew. We dive into the practical "Yes and No Test" to help you calibrate your unique spiritual frequency using questions you already know the answers to. We also explain why God gives us revelation "line upon line" instead of a whole download at once, and how to use the "record rule" to see the bigger picture He is painting in your life.
Whether you need to know how to clear spiritual noise through safety checks or want to close the loop on your day with an evening review, this episode is packed with practical tools to turn daily chores into divine dialogues.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast. I'm your host, Tamara K. Anderson, and joining me today is the amazing Tiffany Fletcher, a member of our Women warriors of Light advisory board.
And today we're breaking down a couple of the simple steps of our road map to revelation, which is a free download written for all the normal women out there in the world who want to better hear God in their daily lives. First, we're going to talk about the divine invitation, why God meets you at the kitchen sink in the laundry room, and not just in a church pew.
Second, we'll dive into finding your divine frequency and the yes and no test that helps you recognize his unique communication just with you. Third, we'll discuss the growth process and the record rule, why God gives us tastes of revelation instead of the whole download all at once.
And finally, we'll cover steps five and six, safety checks and an evening review, how to clear the noise from the adversary and close the loop on your day. But let's kick it off by starting exactly where you are.
Tiffany Fletcher:God, He. He meets us where we're at. Where? Whether we are on the 1% scale or the 99% scale, he. He makes up all the difference. And he meets us where.
He'll meet us in our kitchen while we're doing dishes. He'll meet us in our laundry room. He'll meet us in our church pews. He'll meet us in our cars. He'll meet us in the desert, in our own wilderness.
He will meet us where we are. We just need to start, that's all.
Tamara K. Anderson:To start, as James 4, 8 says, draw near unto God and He will draw near unto you. He is waiting for you to take the first step. But once you start, how do you know what his voice actually sounds like?
You have to discover your own unique language of the spirit. And that starts with a very simple test. Principle number two is figuring out how God talks to us or figuring out how he speaks to you uniquely.
What does a yes feel like? What does a no feel like? And you can have that conversation with Him. For me, yes is almost filled with happy and peace.
And it's a thought in my mind and in my heart. That's how he often confirms to me if something is right. A no.
It's like, I don't know, bad vibes is the way my daughter would describe it in today's lingo. Right? I just have bad vibes about that. That's just a no.
Tiffany Fletcher:Take time to sit with him so that you will know. And then you can ask questions. Like, for example, you can say, God, do you love me? You know, Absolutely. That's a yes question.
So when you feel his love, and however he presents that to you, you will know that that is how God speaks to you. It's important to ask questions that you already know the answers to.
Yes and no questions to help you know to you and how it feels in your heart and mind and your spirit. And God wants you to know how he speaks to you. So he is going to. He's going to help you.
You just have to be willing to create a space and then ask the right questions to get answers that will help determine how he speaks to you and what a yes and a no.
Tamara K. Anderson:Actually feels like calibrating your frequency is the key. But don't be discouraged if you don't get the whole chimichanga right now. God uses step three, or the growth process, to build our trust.
And that requires us to follow the record rule or writing it down. When you get something, write it down so that you can remember it. Because I don't know if you're anything like me.
I usually write things down in my journal. Like, I had this thought today. And then sometimes I'll get like three months down the road and I'll be asking him about, hey, what about this?
And he's like, go back and read what I've already shared with you. And so then I'll go back through my journal and I'll, oh, he taught me this here, and he taught me this here.
And all of a sudden I've got 10 things that he's already taught me about that I just had to put them together on one page. So, so he's often giving us these little thoughts, but unless we write them down, we don't see the whole picture start to appear.
Does that make sense? I don't know.
Tiffany Fletcher:So yeah, I agree. So important to write it down. And I love that it, how you said, it's line upon line. God teaches us one right step at a time.
He doesn't often give us the big picture of how it works. He lets us do it one step at a time. I don't know, like parenting, like, I wish I would have had the whole download all at once.
But it has been in line upon line, day by day process. And it is constantly going to him and saying, okay, how can I fix this? How can I correct this? What would you have me do with this?
And I think that part of that is because he wants us to continually come to him. He wants us to be able to say, okay, God, I, I took this step, now what's next? If he gave us the whole picture, maybe we wouldn't come to him, right?
Maybe we would do like, well, you already showed me the picture, so I've got it from here. But I think in reality, like, he's like, no, I'm going to give you a little bit at a time.
So I know, so I know that you will come back and let me be in the driver's seat. You are going to let me continue to help you. And I can trust. And it also shows trust, right? He's developing that trust with us.
So knowing that if we take the step that he tells us that he can give us another one and he can trust us, that we're going to execute that, but also so that we can trust him, so that we, when we take that next right step, we can be like, okay, that worked out really well. Now I'm going to go back and see what my next right step is because I feel momentum happening here.
And I think that, that it, that teaching line upon line helps us stay connected with God and allows him to be an important part of the process of our lives, in the growth process. And, and it also helps us know, return and report to our Father.
He loves us so much and he wants that return and report just like any other Father would. So I think that there's reasons why he does what he does.
And, and I'm grateful that he does it that way so that we can continue to have that connection with him in our lives.
Tamara K. Anderson:It's a partnership. But when you're in that process, the noise of the world. And the adversary will try to jam that signal from heaven.
That's why safety checks are so vital. You have to clear the space before you can hear the whisper.
Tiffany Fletcher:Well, the advice that I would give is before you say any prayer, at the beginning of every prayer, pray that heavenly Father will cast Satan's influence out of your mind and your heart and your space so that you.
And, and I would pray for angels and for his spirit to be with there for angels to protect you and, and protect your space so that you are only hearing God's voice. And then pray. I would repent. I would say, heavenly Father, please forgive me for anything that keeps me from hearing your voice.
And then I would say, and please send your spirit, help me to, to fill your spirit so that he can magnify your voice in my life. And I could hear, want me to do. And, and I think that that is such an important thing.
Like if we cast Satan's influence out at the very beginning in the name of Jesus Christ and then invite angels in the spirit and repent, we are in a place where we can trust that whatever comes is from our heavenly Father.
And I think that that is the beautiful thing about prayer that, that if we take those steps that God will answer us and we will be certain that it is from him. Because we have taken all the precautions we need to get rid of all the other noise in our. In our life.
I love that evening review in the sense especially when I have prayed in the morning and I've got action steps from him and then I have been intentional about taking those action steps during the day. And then I could come back and say, God, I. I did what you asked me to do. Here's what I did, here's how it went. Thank you for the opportunity.
And I think it's really, really beautiful and it's really a great connecting experience with our heavenly F. You can feel his love and his gratitude for your willingness to try. And even sometimes I'm like, God, I know that you told me to do this, but I didn't do this today and I am so sorry. And here's why.
And you can feel his love and his grace and his goodness and his mercy for you. And it's just a really connecting experience because in that you feeling gratitude for him, him feeling gratitude for you.
And then just that love that comes from that connection.
Tiffany Fletcher:It's.
Tiffany Fletcher:It's really just a beautiful, beautiful experience.
Tamara K. Anderson:So my friends, hearing God is not a complex ritual. It's a simple, messy and beautiful walk between a father and his child.
Whether you're doing the dishes or returning and reporting before bed, he is there. He is full of grace, and he is excited to hear from you.
