David Spoon:Somebody gave them a check.
David Spoon:From another blessing point of view, somebody gave them gift cards.
David Spoon:They also have had some really interesting things happen, even bank fees being reversed.
David Spoon:So we want to say thank you.

David Spoon:Don't you just want to say that?
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you, and I want to really say this.
David Spoon:I had an opportunity to minister to somebody privately yesterday, and I did so.
David Spoon:And that person got back to me today and they were like, it just really moved me.
David Spoon:It really affected me.
David Spoon:It really helped me.
David Spoon:Do you know that that email that they sent me was more of a blessing for me than I might have been for them?
David Spoon:And I think that's probably true because I read that and I'm like, I love that God will use us to bless other people.
David Spoon:And let me say something to you.
David Spoon:The blessing of being a blessing is as awesome as the person receiving what they're looking for.
David Spoon:The Lord has this way of communicating with you and I.
David Spoon:This is a brotherhood.
David Spoon:This is a sisterhood.
David Spoon:This is a family.
David Spoon:We're the family of God.
David Spoon:Jesus Christ is the head of the church.
David Spoon:And you know, I get pretty fiery when we start talking about people having unity issues or whatever.
David Spoon:It's like, it's so absurd.
David Spoon:People are bashing on other Christians.
David Spoon:The last thing Christians need to be doing is bashing on other Christians.
David Spoon:We just had this mega vote situation.
David Spoon:Some people are feeling pretty relieved.
David Spoon:Some people are still pretty nervous.
David Spoon:Doesn't matter.
David Spoon:We're gonna pray for the country one way or another.
David Spoon:But your brother or your sister in Christ, maybe they belong to a different tribe.
David Spoon:But if they are genuinely born again, Bible believing Christians who love Jesus, that is your family.
David Spoon:And that's how God set it up.
David Spoon:And for you and I to be a blessing to one another.
David Spoon:That's a big part of the whole schematic.
David Spoon:By this shall all men know you are my disciples.
David Spoon:One for my disciples.
David Spoon:By your love, one for another.
David Spoon:See, I'm just getting so much going in my brain, it's coming out in spurts.
David Spoon:But here's the thing.
David Spoon:You gotta love one another to show people that.
David Spoon:And it's not just the people that are in your church that shows it.
David Spoon:Really.
David Spoon:What's more fascinating as a testimony is you being able to love somebody who's not in your section of the church and you still love them.
David Spoon:And that's a great testimony.
David Spoon:Not the person that sees everything the exact same way you do, but the person who doesn't.
David Spoon:And yet you still love them.
David Spoon:You still extend to them, you still pray for them, you still care for them.
David Spoon:That's the power of the testimony.
David Spoon:And what did Jesus say?
David Spoon:A new commandment I gave you.
David Spoon:What do you mean, a new.
David Spoon:Well, there's.
David Spoon:Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
David Spoon:But Jesus said, I have a new one.
David Spoon:I want you to love one another as I have loved you.
David Spoon:And the way that Jesus loves us is greater than the way we love ourselves.
David Spoon:So we're called up to a yet a higher level.
David Spoon:And we are supposed to extend that to one another.
David Spoon:And what I'm trying to tell you right now, I just know the Lord is telling people, you be a blessing for other brothers and sisters.
David Spoon:You will find blessing returned unto you when you bless others.
David Spoon:God blesses you.
David Spoon:And he wants to bless his kids.
David Spoon:He wants to pour it out upon them.
David Spoon:He wants to lavish them with his presence and his anointing and his graces and his gifts and his gracelets.
David Spoon:And we need to say, yes, Lord, use us, Lord.
David Spoon:Let us be an avenue to bless others in whatever capacity.
David Spoon:And that's what the Lord's called us to people.
David Spoon:And I know the number one question.
David Spoon:I'm not even reading them.
David Spoon:The number one question people ask is, how long are you gonna be?
David Spoon:Let's go.
David Spoon:Let's get this program going.
David Spoon:Come back.
David Spoon:We want him to come back, but in the meantime, we're supposed to reflect Jesus Christ more and more.
David Spoon:Fine, you be Jesus for your brothers and sisters.

David Spoon:Before we get there, we just want to briefly talk about the election because I know people are kind of chomping at the bit.

David Spoon:Nothing happened today or last night that God didn't know was going to happen before the foundation of the earth.
David Spoon:And people that don't understand that don't know God, the Lord knew all along what was and wasn't going to happen.
David Spoon:Now there are many people in our audience much more of a conservative bent.
David Spoon:There's not an issue there.
David Spoon:But we are very, very committed to saying we'll never tell you who to vote for.
David Spoon:We're going to tell you who to vote with.
David Spoon:And that's the Lord.
David Spoon:And one of the things that I said a little while ago, you guys know I put a link on the website to the Babylon Bee and I understand some people don't like the Babylon Bee.
David Spoon:It's too sarcastic.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:Don't, don't go to the site.
David Spoon:Don't do anything that's going to offend you.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:For those that have a little bit different flair, have that different mindset, their headline yesterday as the voting closed without anybody saying another word was, all the votes are in.
David Spoon:Jesus Christ is still on the throne.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:I know they got sarcasm, but boy, that's great.
David Spoon:That's the great way to say it doesn't matter.
David Spoon:You think that man's going to ultimately decide man's fate?
David Spoon:Oh, it's ridiculous.
David Spoon:Remember, Earth is God's footstool.
David Spoon:Keep in mind who's in charge of the universe, right?
David Spoon:So we want to be aware of that.
David Spoon:Also, we don't want to be.
David Spoon:And I'm going to say this really nice to those that felt much more favor in the election results.
David Spoon:You don't want to be going nanny, nanny, boo boo.
David Spoon:Okay, Bad spirit, don't do that.
David Spoon:What we should all be praying for is that the Lord has his way in this nation.
David Spoon:And if we feel like that has a greater chance now because of the results of this election, that doesn't mean we stop praying.
David Spoon:That means we pray all the more.
David Spoon:Now we got people that are hurting and people that are doing great and all that stuff.
David Spoon:But the first thing, I want to pray.
David Spoon:I'm going to pray for people's health in the next 60 minute segment, but I want to pray for the nation that not for any, that we as a people would turn our face to God.
David Spoon:That's what we need.
David Spoon:You want this nation to concede now?
David Spoon:I will concede that some people are saying, hey, well, we've got a couple years to make things better or do this or we got this.
David Spoon:And there's arguments on both sides.
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:Unless our nation turns its face to God and the people, not just the political leaders, but the people of the nation turn their face to God, it ain't going to go well even if we have a temporary reprieve.
David Spoon:So let's pray for that to increase.
David Spoon:And let's honor the Lord because he rules in the affairs of men.
David Spoon:By the way, if you don't think so, you should read the book of Daniel.
David Spoon:And in fact, you should specifically read chapter four.
David Spoon:And you should specifically be aware that God is in charge.
David Spoon:Okay, let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now and we just want to thank you and praise you.
David Spoon:We thank you for the praise reports.
David Spoon:And Lord, I also want to pray for Jill, who's Nancy's daughter.
David Spoon:She needs some more recovery on what's going on.
David Spoon:She has some levels, certain levels in her body that aren't doing well.
David Spoon:Lord, please heal her.
David Spoon:Please touch Jill by the power of the Holy Spirit so that she can be well.
David Spoon:And Lord, for all these little things that you're doing for all of our people, all these small little things that you've done, we just want to say thank you.
David Spoon:We appreciate it so much.
David Spoon:God, your kindness exceeds us.
David Spoon:I say it all the time.
David Spoon:Lord, you're just better than us in the kindness department.
David Spoon:I was praying just this today, you know this, Lord, just that you would pour out your kindness on your people.
David Spoon:And we just thank you for doing that.
David Spoon:And Lord, we want to thank you for what we, what we think might be a redirection for our country.
David Spoon:There's a lot of people that felt like there was a heaviness that lifted last night.
David Spoon:And maybe that's so, Lord, and hope it's so.
David Spoon:But Lord, we as a nation need to turn our face to you.
David Spoon:We as the people of God need to seek your help.
David Spoon:You're the king, you're the leader.
David Spoon:And we pray that your influence upon our leaders would be dramatically increased and we would see the reflection of your wisdom moving in the leadership of our nation.
David Spoon:And for those that want to continue to create problems in this process, Lord, that they would be pushed to the side so that there can be a genuine commitment and surrender to your purposes.
David Spoon:Lord, we know they mock.
David Spoon:We understand, but we will not mock you.
David Spoon:We honor you, and we ask you to bless the United States of America with your favor as a people.
David Spoon:Lord, help us to repent so that we might come to your favor.
David Spoon:Have mercy on us, guide our leaders, protect us, protect the children, protect the womb, and protect righteousness amongst us.
David Spoon:We call upon your name.
David Spoon:We call upon your name.
David Spoon:And whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
David Spoon:And blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
David Spoon:Be the Lord of our country.
David Spoon:That's what we pray.

David Spoon:All right, so the bottom line to that is I recognize there are people that say, well, that's kind of theocratical.
David Spoon:You want a theocratical government?
David Spoon:It's like, first of all, a theocratical government doesn't actually exist in its pure form, in case anybody's wondering, just on the face of the earth.
David Spoon:Yes, I was.
David Spoon:I took master's classes in poli sci and everything else.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:True theocratical government is when God rules it directly.
David Spoon:So when they keep saying those things, it's not the leaders, not the pastors, not the priests, not the leaders.
David Spoon:It's when God does it directly.
David Spoon:Guess what we're looking forward to in heaven and on earth, the new heavens and the new earth.
David Spoon:God doing it directly.
David Spoon:Yay.
David Spoon:That's what you want.
David Spoon:If you're a Christian, get it.
David Spoon:Okay, cool.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So did all that because I wanted to kind of share some of that with you guys and kind of get everybody on the same track.
David Spoon:Now that we're done with that, I've got to finish off this little part in Psalm chapter 56.
David Spoon:There's only two verses.
David Spoon:Not a lot to go.
David Spoon:Obviously, we're not going to break.
David Spoon:And you better get ready, because the message I got after this is ten times more powerful than some of the other stuff I've had a chance to teach, and I'm super looking forward to it.
David Spoon:But let's go back to Psalm 56.
David Spoon:We'll pick it up in verse 11 where David says, in God I have put my trust.
David Spoon:I will not be afraid.
David Spoon:What can man do to me?
David Spoon:What can man do to me?
David Spoon:For those that are thinking, gee, that sounds familiar, Dave.
David Spoon:Well, it is familiar.
David Spoon:Here's the familiar part Hebrews 13:6.
David Spoon:So we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper.
David Spoon:I will not fear.
David Spoon:What can man do to me?
David Spoon:This is something we need to really understand as the people of God.
David Spoon:And I'm going to hammer it home because it deserves to be hammered home.
David Spoon:The psalmist is mentioning, so David is talking about this, and he's like, he's not going to be afraid.
David Spoon:And again, we've talked about this multiple times.
David Spoon:Fear is a decision.
David Spoon:You can give in to fear or not give in to fear.
David Spoon:Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
David Spoon:In other words, there's no way he's going to process and go into it.
David Spoon:And so here David's saying, in God I have put my trust.
David Spoon:I will not be afraid.
David Spoon:If we trust in the Lord, the power of fear loses its grip.
David Spoon:And when we say, I trust in the Lord, I trust in the Lord.
David Spoon:We gotta stop doing the Brahm Brahmos.
David Spoon:Because all we ever do when we do that is confess the doubt that we have operating.
David Spoon:And what we need to operate in is that trust.
David Spoon:The Bible's clear that when we trust in the Lord, that there is peace of mind.
David Spoon:He keeps everybody in peace whose mind is stayed upon you, Lord.
David Spoon:Isaiah 26:3, because they trust in you.
David Spoon:And then he says, besides, what can man do to me?
David Spoon:And you're thinking, wait a minute, what do you mean, what can man do to me?
David Spoon:They can kill you.
David Spoon:Yep, they sure can.
David Spoon:They can really mess up your 60, 70, or 80 years, but they can't do anything about your eternity.
David Spoon:So you might want to think of it in this term.
David Spoon:All that man can do to you is kind of like when the umbilical cord in your life was cut.
David Spoon:And everything else in your life is how the time is with God.
David Spoon:In other words, it's a very small amount of time that anybody can do anything.
David Spoon:And what we need to do is recognize three things off the bat.
David Spoon:Number one, you and I do not live for the audience.
David Spoon:We live for the author.
David Spoon:God created the universe.
David Spoon:The dude can write a book.
David Spoon:We live for him.
David Spoon:And we do it without reservation.
David Spoon:Number two, other people's opinions about us mean nothing.
David Spoon:You know, everybody has an opinion.
David Spoon:It's just not always right.
David Spoon:Everybody has a take.
David Spoon:It's just not always right.
David Spoon:Do you want to go by the majority of the world's opinion, or do you want to go by God's opinion?
David Spoon:Keeping in mind James 4.
David Spoon:4 that a friend of the world is an enemy of God, you live for the author.
David Spoon:You don't live for other people's opinions.
David Spoon:What man can do 60, 70, 80 years max, God has eternity that he's offering, and there is nothing that can compare to that.
David Spoon:And when we trust in the Lord and put our faith in the Lord and put our confidence in the Lord again, the power of fear starts to lose its grip.
David Spoon:And then, after all, second Timothy 1:7 says, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
David Spoon:You have a sound mind.
David Spoon:By the way, that in the Greek is saz friend, which means safe thinking.
David Spoon:You have safe thinking when you don't give in to fear.
David Spoon:And he goes on to say this.
David Spoon:I mean, is this just unbelievable stuff?
David Spoon:David says this, and this will blow some people away.
David Spoon:Verse 12.
David Spoon:Vows made to you are binding upon me, O God.
David Spoon:I will render praise to you.
David Spoon:You're sitting there saying, well, we're not supposed to make vows.
David Spoon:This is not a vow that everybody.
David Spoon:That people are making.
David Spoon:The way that you think of a vow is, this is David making a commitment, a lifelong commitment to render praise.
David Spoon:And God allows him to make that commitment because that's a righteous commitment.
David Spoon:And what does David say?
David Spoon:He says, here it is.
David Spoon:He says, I made a vow that binding upon me, I will render praises to you.
David Spoon:Instead of telling God what he's not doing right, which is nothing, because he does everything right.
David Spoon:Or let me rephrase that.
David Spoon:Instead of telling God what he's doing wrong, why don't you just acknowledge he's perfect at what he does?
David Spoon:And if you don't think so, you don't have faith.
David Spoon:If you don't think so, you're not operating in the truth.
David Spoon:How about that?
David Spoon:Ooh, that's just mean, Dave.
David Spoon:Yeah, that is.
David Spoon:And King David says, I will render praise to you for.
David Spoon:And then he gives the reason.
David Spoon:You've delivered my soul from death.
David Spoon:You have kept my feet from falling that I might walk before you in the light of the living.
David Spoon:David acknowledges God has saved me from death.
David Spoon:You know what?
David Spoon:God has saved you and I multiple times for death.
David Spoon:We don't even know it.
David Spoon:The Bible says, safety is of the Lord.
David Spoon:God has saved your life time and time again.
David Spoon:God has not only saved our lives, he's kept us from falling.
David Spoon:Do you know how many times I would have fallen if the grace of God did not hold me up?
David Spoon:I can't count.
David Spoon:Not only that, not only is that a reason to praise him.
David Spoon:He's delivered us from death.
David Spoon:He's delivered us from Falling.
David Spoon:He's also delivered us from being defeated.
David Spoon:We have victory in Jesus, our Savior forever.
David Spoon:Not only that, but he's given us the ability to walk in the light.
David Spoon:Guess what?
David Spoon:You are not stuck in darkness.
David Spoon:That should be like the main reason to get up in the morning and go, hey, I'm saved.
David Spoon:I'm going to live forever.
David Spoon:Forever with God.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:I mean, that should be our attitude.
David Spoon:And he gets to see the light in the land of the living.
David Spoon:He gets to enjoy God now and later.
David Spoon:He's given these six reasons right off the bat.
David Spoon:Let's see.
David Spoon:You've been awesome to me.
David Spoon:You've delivered me from death.
David Spoon:You've kept me from falling.
David Spoon:You've kept me from being defeated.
David Spoon:You enabled me to see the light and walk in the light.
David Spoon:You've enabled me to do it in the land of the living.
David Spoon:Thanks.
David Spoon:I'm going to give my vow of thanks and praise to you because you have brought me through all of it.
David Spoon:And I'll just say this to you real quickly and you can just answer it yourself.
David Spoon:Has God brought you through all of it?
David Spoon:If he didn't, you wouldn't be listening to my voice.
David Spoon:Uh oh.
David Spoon:Stop using that logical stuff, Dave.
David Spoon:These are truths and we need to operate in the truth.
David Spoon:Yesterday was quite a passion show and many people responded saying, wow, needed that, needed that.
David Spoon:What's important for us to understand is that God is trying to help us walk closer to Him.
David Spoon:And when we walk closer to him and when we're connected to him and when we draw near to Him, Scripture is clear.
David Spoon:James 4, 8.
David Spoon:Draw near to God and He will draw near to you and that will bring more of God in your life.
David Spoon:Let me make this clear.
David Spoon:This is the entire next 60 minutes.
David Spoon:The answer is more of God.
David Spoon:And you keep thinking, no, I got to do this.
David Spoon:No, you don't.
David Spoon:I talked to my son for 46 minutes yesterday.
David Spoon:We were talking and he's just amazed how God is moving him closer and closer.
David Spoon:And I told him, that's the gift of God, making you understand that he is the answer to everything.
David Spoon:The answer has never been government.
David Spoon:It's never been a small G.
David Spoon:It's been the creator of the universe.
David Spoon:And the more we depend on him, the more we actually live.
David Spoon:That's the irony behind it.
David Spoon:That's the awesomeness behind it.
David Spoon:A vow of praise because of all these awesome things could not possibly pay God back for all the awesome things he's done for each one of us.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Come on, you know it's true in everything.
David Spoon:Give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
David Spoon:Wow.

David Spoon:As American people, as people who live in America, we have been granted the right to pursue happiness and I want to make sure you understand what this means.
David Spoon:We have a preamble to United States Declaration of Independence and the Preamble to the Declaration says we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
David Spoon:Now, I do want to point out it does not say life, liberty and the provisions of or for happiness.
David Spoon:In other words, the rights that we have in the preamble is that we get to pursue happiness, not that it's provided for us by the government.
David Spoon:So that's kind of an important point for people to recognize.
David Spoon:It would be not if they quit trying to quote our Founding Fathers and then say they're entitled to something because of that provision, because it never says that.
