Shownotes

In this episode I share why progress in your tutoring or education business is not always about earning more. Sometimes it means simplifying, refining or letting go.

I explain how redefining progress can free up time, improve creativity and support sustainable business growth.

Enjoy :-)

Sumantha:

You know, progress is really interesting because it does mean something different to all of us. And it, the definition can change depending on context. Sometimes progress means refining, simplifying, or even letting go of something that's no longer serving you. I've had clients reduce their income slightly by dropping an offer they just didn't really enjoy or, you know, stopping working with a client and they actually ended up feeling lighter, happier, more creative. That's still progress. It doesn't need to be quantified with earning more, let's say. And in fact, the reality was it freed them up to earn more, to work on things that were more income generating because they had the head space too.

Sumantha:

It can mean scaling back on visibility to focus on your existing clients or swapping a bigger audience for a more engaged one. These changes may not look like growth from the outside, but they do move you towards a more sustainable and fulfilling and effective business. So when you think about progress, I think it's really important to remember that it's not about constant expansion.

Sumantha:

It's about moving closer to the business and the life that you want. So take a moment to notice what could you remove or refine to make space for what truly matters to you? And can you acknowledge those shifts as progress, even if they don't show up in the usual metrics, because you know that's progress too.
