The Bridge of Disappointment – Wisdom Unplugged

Disappointment

Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is day 447 of our trek, and it is Thursday and time for our 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom each Tuesday and Thursday. So, let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.

Today’s quote is from Nancy Ferrari, who says, “Believe it or not…there is a gift to be discovered from moments of disappointment when things don’t always turn out the way we want. The beauty of disappointment, though, is that it provides us a bridge to its other side where the acceptance of reality, wisdom, and the energy to begin again can be found!”

disappointment to success

None of us like to be disappointed with anything in life, but disappointment is part of life. Disappointment can truly be a gift to us. It gives an opportunity to grow, to mature, and to gain wisdom. If it were not for sadness, our joy would not be as sweet. Disappointments are truly the bridges across the chasms of failure and defeat to the glorious land of victory. So, when you are feeling disappointment, remember Psalms 118:14, “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”

That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged. If you would like access to my database of over 10,000 inspirational quotes, the link is available on the main page of Wisdom-Trek.com.
