Shownotes

It has happened to many of us: we were passionate, ready to devote ourselves to our dreams, but we gradually lost our way, forgetting what we wanted in the beginning as we become too busy tackling our lives’ everyday problems. Tommy Caldwell, a legendary climber, has gone all the way to transform himself for what he loves.

Caldwell never gave up his climbing career even after several drastic events: becoming a hostage, choosing to kill when faced with a life or death situation, losing a finger, and going through a divorce. On the contrary, he became more determined to keep climbing. He set the daunting Dawn Wall as his ultimate goal. Free climbing the Dawn Wall had long been considered impossible because of its steepness and smoothness. During their 19-day ascent, Caldwell and his team went through life-threatening risks and overcame great fatigue. This incredible achievement thus marked the peak of Caldwell’s legendary career.

Caldwell could live such an exciting life because he’s always been ready to challenge himself, his will became stronger every time he pushed beyond his limits. Thanks to his ability to rise above frustrations and setbacks, he was able to achieve these awe-inspiring goals and change his life.
