Okay, well, you know. Thank you Bo. Really, what are you gonna do for me to, for me to give up my [00:00:24] email address to you? Right.
ccelerator podcast. Now your [:Traci DeForge: One of the biggest missed opportunities in business, and especially in [00:00:36] podcasting, is the week or confusing call to action, or in some cases it doesn't [00:00:42] exist at all.
ld, but if you don't clearly [:She asked me [00:01:06] very specifically about this. I think you'll wanna hear the answer.
you have to somebody on how [:Traci DeForge: Yes. Thank you for asking this question. 'cause everyone needs to know the answer to this.[00:01:24]
tent that you're putting out [:Or that, I can't do that. That's too salesy. That's not my [00:01:48] style. Okay? So if you own a business, you're a salesperson, and if you have an issue [00:01:54] with that, then you should probably not be a business owner. So let's just start there. Sales is, no matter how you classify [00:02:00] it, you're going to have to sell yourself and sell your products in order to be able to generate revenues, in order to stay in business.[00:02:06]
needs to be an invitation to [:So in [00:02:30] this situation. You might say, okay, Tracy, how can people get in touch with you? Which you probably would ask me. We're gonna go ahead [00:02:36] and skip that and do, and so normally some people might say, oh, you can [00:02:42] connect with me on LinkedIn, I'm on Instagram, go to my website. Um, if you wanna book a call with me.
[:Right? So most people think of a call to action as [00:03:06] something that they either don't give, give a lot of consideration to, and that's like, yeah, sign up for my newsletter. Or they give [00:03:12] five different choices and you gotta think about yourself being in a food court and you're like looking around and there's so many different choices.
[:Because there are resources, there are blogs, there's um, [00:03:42] opportunities to connect there. You can sample some of our work. You can see how people have integrated their sponsorships. If you sample some of the [00:03:48] shows, like all of these things live on producer podcast.com. If you do something that's just like, I want [00:03:54] you thinking about like talking to one person, one human, one connection.
[:What, [00:04:24] who obviously, right. We have to think about our call to action the exact same way. It's [00:04:30] like, invite someone to be a part of your world. Don't just like, put shit on them and, and [00:04:36] not show them any value for why. Yeah, it's a big, this is a big passion point for me. You can tell. [00:04:42] Let's break down the three most common mistakes that we see at Producer [00:04:48] Podcast when it comes to a call to action.
s that mean? That means that [:If you have a library of resources and blogs and [00:05:24] opportunities on your website that they can utilize to help them. Let them know why you want them to go to the [00:05:30] website and what to do when they get there. Number two, it is too complicated. [00:05:36] So too complicated is also synonymous with too many choices. The [00:05:42] confused mind says no, so.
tion, you don't wanna do all [:Make sure you send me that message and let's see how we can continue this conversation, [00:06:18] make it very personal, and make it an invitation to go to that next level with you. [00:06:24] And third, it's either infrequent, inconsistent, or it [00:06:30] just doesn't exist. Sometimes people underestimate the value [00:06:36] of having a call to action in their podcast.
They absolutely just [:That is easy and also. Has less friction. [00:07:12] One bonus tip for that is to use the same URL for the name of your [00:07:18] podcast as the website URL that you want to direct them to. So for [00:07:24] example, instead of producer podcast.com, I'm asking you to go to the growth [00:07:30] accelerator podcast.com.
