Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) followed up President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on March 7 by stating that it was time for a change in leadership at the White House. In her rebuttal, the freshman senator highlighted the ongoing crisis at the southern border, calling it entirely preventable. She said, “We know that President Biden didn’t just create this border crisis. He invited it with 94 executive actions in his first 100 days.”

A New York judge presiding over former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial has ordered that the identities of jury members be kept private, citing risks of jury tampering or harassment. And the federal judge overseeing President Trump’s classified documents case announced a March 14 hearing in the case. Special counsel Jack Smith has argued that case is “starkly different” from the case the Department of Justice declined to bring against President Biden over retention of classified documents.

National Guard soldiers are patrolling New York City's busiest subway stations. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul made the decision Wednesday following a series of high-profile crimes. New York City subway riders weigh in, and a legal analyst says the move may be a "wrong read."
