Shownotes

What is your relationship with the money you have? If it's bad then it's time to take your money for a date. That's right you heard me.

Everyone can get excited about a date but not about money, and that's the problem.  If you want to be sure that you and your spouse are on the same page with your finances this is going to be the main thing you have to change. I personally tried talking about money with my husband in all the different ways I could possibly think. We tried over cocktails, on different days of the week, and simply just at different times of the day. What I learned in the end is, for our personal relationship, the best time was Sunday afternoons for us to chat about it. Best thing is, you can even take yourself out for a money date by yourself.

The three things you really need to talk about on these "money dates" is

  1. Spendings
  2. Earnings
  3. Savings

It's important to talk about this more than simply once a month. It may be difficult to talk about your current financial standing with your significant other, or even just yourself, but you'll be improving your relationship together and with money this way. The simple fact that you struggle and are stressed out about money is a huge sign that it's something you need to do.
