Speaker:

Your awakening will happen on your timeframe, your schedule.

Speaker:

All you have to do is show up for the seasons and the weather whims of your

Speaker:

feelings and inner movements as they're happening,

Speaker:

and the rest will unfold perfectly.

Speaker:

Hello and welcome back to Remember Why You Here,

Speaker:

a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,

Speaker:

reconnect to yourself, and remember the most important thing of all,

Speaker:

why you're here.

Speaker:

This episode today is going to be a little bit of a simpler one,

Speaker:

a little bit of a quieter one, a little bit of a cozy one.

Speaker:

I am just getting started today with the new cohort for Earth

Speaker:

Angel School 2026.

Speaker:

We only open the doors once a year to this school and now the doors are closing

Speaker:

and I'm so excited to get started with this group in this spiritual school for

Speaker:

sensitives. And because that's happening today,

Speaker:

I decided to release a podcast that is just a little bit more easeful.

Speaker:

I also think that this podcast today is something I really

Speaker:

need to remember right now in this world.

Speaker:

So I wanted to share this recording that I made several years ago called Is This

Speaker:

An Awakening? In this recording,

Speaker:

I talk about the signs that you are having an awakening,

Speaker:

especially within the context of looking at the greater metaphor of spring.

Speaker:

We so often doubt whether we are actually making changes in our life,

Speaker:

whether we are actually getting to the other side of something and there's a

Speaker:

really important metaphor inherent to spring that can help us

Speaker:

recognize awakenings when they're happening in our lives.

Speaker:

I have been just absolutely soaking in the beauty of spring

Speaker:

here in the mountains where I live.

Speaker:

There are a cacophony of wildflowers in the early spring.

Speaker:

The coves here are filled with spring ephemerals,

Speaker:

and it's just one of the most joyful moments of the entire year to witness them.

Speaker:

And at the same time, balancing that joy,

Speaker:

this very present physical joy of being on earth with the

Speaker:

intensity of living in this planet, the intensity of the global climate,

Speaker:

the political climate,

Speaker:

with the realities of what is happening in the wider human world.

Speaker:

And this episode felt really important to tune back into

Speaker:

because of this as well.

Speaker:

This is a question I think a lot of us are asking ourselves like,

Speaker:

"Is this the end or is this an awakening?" And I think in our heart of hearts,

Speaker:

we really know the answer to that question,

Speaker:

but our fragile human selves and our sensitive nervous systems really

Speaker:

need to ask this question, right? Is really wondering,

Speaker:

are we witnessing something dissolving?

Speaker:

And I think the answer to that is yes,

Speaker:

but what we're also witnessing is an awakening.

Speaker:

But I think it can really help to understand within this what

Speaker:

awakenings actually look like because I think sometimes we have this view or

Speaker:

this vision of awakenings that is preventing us from recognizing them when

Speaker:

they're actually happening. So in this gentle episode today,

Speaker:

settle in and simply receive as we explore,

Speaker:

is this an awakening?

Speaker:

We all want to experience awakenings,

Speaker:

a sense and that feeling of renewal, new perspective, new beginning.

Speaker:

When spring comes around, it seems like awakening's not that far off,

Speaker:

but a lot of times we forget actually what awakening feels like.

Speaker:

The truth is that you're probably already having an awakening this spring.

Speaker:

Let's just look at the signs.

Speaker:

These are the telltale signs that you're actually in the midst of an awakening.

Speaker:

Sometimes I find it's helpful to look at the seasons that we're inhabiting to

Speaker:

really understand the way in which our inner rhythms work.

Speaker:

So when it comes to awakenings, there's no better time to look at than spring.

Speaker:

So let's look at some of the signs that you're experiencing an awakening.

Speaker:

The first sign is that you're having new lows.

Speaker:

So a lot of times we hear this word awakening,

Speaker:

we think it's going to be all like flash and banner and excitement and

Speaker:

flowers. But if we actually look at the way spring works,

Speaker:

you kind of hit an all time low before spring really comes into gear.

Speaker:

So oftentimes the hardest days of winter are those last days of

Speaker:

winter that are transitioning into spring.

Speaker:

This is when you get those last snowstorms.

Speaker:

It's when those glass cold snaps come in.

Speaker:

Maybe you get a couple blossoms on a branch and then you get another freeze.

Speaker:

So I think it's important to keep this in mind when we're thinking about

Speaker:

awakenings because really sometimes when we experience things like depression,

Speaker:

despondency, a new low,

Speaker:

what we're actually tuning into is this energy of the first burst of spring,

Speaker:

this energy of the fact that awakenings can actually come out of these low

Speaker:

spaces.

Speaker:

So if you are transitioning into the season and you're feeling that sense of

Speaker:

heaviness, almost like cabin fever hitting a pitch,

Speaker:

then this might be that you're actually just about to burst into your awakening.

Speaker:

Speaking of cabin fever,

Speaker:

you might also be feeling some sense of restlessness or numbness,

Speaker:

and these are signs that you've actually outgrown your life.

Speaker:

You've outgrown the small boxes that you've been in and you're getting this

Speaker:

restlessness because you're ready for something new.

Speaker:

So when you start to feel that sense of constriction,

Speaker:

it can be really beneficial to not just default into the state of thinking that

Speaker:

something's wrong with your life or you have to forcibly change something,

Speaker:

but recognizing that you're feeling that because your spirit is already opening

Speaker:

up to this change and this awakening.

Speaker:

The next sign is that you might be seesawing back and forth between

Speaker:

the newness and the oldness. Now this is a classic sign of spring awakening,

Speaker:

right? Spring is fickle.

Speaker:

One day it'll be warm and beautiful and the flowers will be out and the next day

Speaker:

it'll be cold again. And we're going to wonder if it might not be winter

Speaker:

forever.

Speaker:

So if you are seesawing back and forth between these states of feeling like

Speaker:

freshness is really coming into your life and then feeling like everything's

Speaker:

always going to be the same as it always was,

Speaker:

know that this itself is a sign of an awakening.

Speaker:

I love thinking about the definition of a revelation. Break it down,

Speaker:

a revelation literally means to reveal.

Speaker:

So we know we've had a revelation when that veil comes back down over

Speaker:

what we perceived. The gateway opens up,

Speaker:

we see something new and different that changes our perspective and our lives.

Speaker:

And then the veil comes back down and it seems as if we've returned to our

Speaker:

normal lives, but really we're changed just from that glimpse.

Speaker:

So think about this seesawing back and forth,

Speaker:

these fickle days of spring, whether that's inner spring or outer spring,

Speaker:

as these revelations that are coming to show you these glimpses. So

Speaker:

awakenings are literally like waking up to glimpse something and then going back

Speaker:

to sleep. That's how they work.

Speaker:

Awakenings lead to being awake to a new level or perception or

Speaker:

awareness of ourselves.

Speaker:

So know that when you have these flashes and it seems like you're defaulting to

Speaker:

old patterns, this isn't a negative thing.

Speaker:

It's actually just indicative that you are awakening.

Speaker:

The third sign is that you may have stuff that comes up to be healed.

Speaker:

So we all know this dance of spring,

Speaker:

the things that you put on hold from the fall or that you didn't have time to do

Speaker:

or is too cold to do outside in the winter,

Speaker:

suddenly come back onto your to- do list in the spring and you know,

Speaker:

it's time to get this stuff done,

Speaker:

whether that's fixing the roof or the potholes in the driveway or digging in

Speaker:

perennials into the garden. So a lot of times when we're experiencing an

Speaker:

awakening,

Speaker:

we're actually going to have stuff come up that's residual and ready to really

Speaker:

be released, healed or tended to.

Speaker:

Sometimes when we have these things come up that need healing,

Speaker:

we think that we're just defective or that this is actually preventing us from

Speaker:

awakening,

Speaker:

but the truth is that these things are coming up so you can embrace the full

Speaker:

awakening that spring has to offer.

Speaker:

And it can be a joy to tend to these things that maybe we didn't have the

Speaker:

time, space,

Speaker:

or energy to tend to when we were in the winter of our seasons or of our

Speaker:

awareness. Lastly,

Speaker:

the first sign of awakening is not necessarily that something's blooming,

Speaker:

but that something's dropping away.

Speaker:

If you actually look at the way spring happens,

Speaker:

before the flowers come out,

Speaker:

there's going to be the old guard that dissipates,

Speaker:

whether that's compost settling into the ground or the old leaves finally

Speaker:

falling off the tree,

Speaker:

the discarding of the old has to come before the new

Speaker:

blooming. So if you find that you're going through a process of shedding,

Speaker:

whether that's coming up against conflicting belief patterns or shedding

Speaker:

an old relationship or feeling the need to move or change something in your

Speaker:

life, know that this is actually a predecessor of the blooms.

Speaker:

And oftentimes we have to do this work before the flowers and the awakening can

Speaker:

come through.

Speaker:

And early spring is a time in which this stuff is going to come up because

Speaker:

there's so much ready to flower for us.

Speaker:

So remember that spring always happens on its own time.

Speaker:

Every year I keep a bloom journal of when certain flowers bloom in my garden and

Speaker:

it's different every single year. So know this for yourself too,

Speaker:

that your awakening will happen on your timeframe, your schedule,

Speaker:

and it's always unfolding perfectly.

Speaker:

So just embrace the sweetness and the perfection of that timing. And

Speaker:

just like spring itself, know that you don't need to rush the flowering.

Speaker:

It happens naturally and organically on its own.

Speaker:

All you have to do is show up for the seasons and the weather whims of your

Speaker:

feelings and inner movements as they're happening,

Speaker:

and the rest will unfold perfectly.

Speaker:

And keep your eyes peeled for those first tiny insights of clarity,

Speaker:

like those first crocus bulbs coming up in spring.

Speaker:

You're going to get these flashes,

Speaker:

these twinkles that are giving you a glimpse of the kind of clarity that's

Speaker:

going to come in the future. Awakenings aren't about having clarity now.

Speaker:

It's about realizing that there's actually a bigger landscape to look

Speaker:

at than you previously thought was possible for yourself.

Speaker:

The clarity will come later. For now,

Speaker:

just notice where those little insights are coming in and move towards them.

Speaker:

Try sinking into your body and let your body lead the way. What feels good to

Speaker:

lean into? What feels textured?

Speaker:

Just like the body of the earth knows when it's the right time to start

Speaker:

blooming, your body knows this too. Trust yourself.

Speaker:

That is always so helpful for me to remember in my life.

Speaker:

And this is the thing about being in relationship with the living world is we

Speaker:

receive these mirrors and these metaphors that help normalize our journey,

Speaker:

that help us understand the way patterns unfold here on this planet.

Speaker:

And when we can see the pattern, we can know what's coming next.

Speaker:

So if you enjoyed this podcast,

Speaker:

it would mean so much to me if you left a rating or review.

Speaker:

It really is like sprinkling fairy dust and all it takes is a single tap to give

Speaker:

this podcast five stars. And if you wanted to leave a review, I mean,

Speaker:

that would just be like in a giant bouquet of spring flowers left at my front

Speaker:

door.

Speaker:

So here's a review that someone left recently that I read probably at least five

Speaker:

times. The review goes,

Speaker:

"This is the only podcast I listen to consistently. I've engaged with Asia's

Speaker:

work for years now and it just gets better and better. She has such a grounded,

Speaker:

clearheaded, heartfelt perspective that always keeps me going.

Speaker:

Don't miss the monthly readings absolute gems." Thank you

Speaker:

so much. And yeah,

Speaker:

I'm excited actually for our reading coming up. But in the meantime,

Speaker:

if you have any questions,

Speaker:

any feedback or just a story you want to share with me personally,

Speaker:

head on over to asiasuler.com/remember and you can leave me a voice note.

Speaker:

It is such a delight to hear some of your voices and it really helps me craft

Speaker:

these episodes.

Speaker:

So however this spring or whatever season you are in is unfolding for

Speaker:

you, may it hold you,

Speaker:

may it give you the mirrors and the reminders that you need that things do

Speaker:

unfold in a purposeful direction,

Speaker:

that there is meaning that we're moving towards on this planet and may it help

Speaker:

you remember that most important thing of all, why you're here.
