*3/19/2022 correction and update to note that Federal Bill H.R. 2116, CROWN Act of 2022, passed in the U.S. House of Representatives on March 18, 2022 and now awaits a vote by the Senate.

The bill was introduced to Congress on March 19, 2021, sponsored by Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey's 12th congressional district.
