This is a series for people who are ready to obey God like Abraham obeyed God, with no map, no applause and no guarantee.

Accept God's promise.

The Bible says the Lord had said to Abraham, go and I will bless you.

Genesis 12.

That means blessing isn't random.

It's not luck, it's not spiritual gambling.

It's covenant.

Over these four messages, we're going to walk from the call to the altar, to the assets to the inheritance.

Because God doesn't just want you to have money, God wants you to have meaning.

He wants you blessed on purpose, not blessed to become proud.

And let me say it plainly, if your faith never moves your feet, it's not faith, it's fantasy.

So get your Bible out, open your heart, and let's learn how God builds faith and fortune without destroying the soul.

The message series that we're starting today is Abraham, father of faith and fortune.

And today is our first message called to be blessed.

Brothers and sisters, listen to me.

There is a difference between being blessed and being lucky.

Luck is random.

Blessing is covenant.

Luck happens to anybody.

Blessing happens to somebody who is walking with God on assignment.

And I need to say this up front because somebody is listening to me right now.

And you've been calling your fear wisdom, you have been calling your delayed discernment, you have been calling your comfort zone peace.

But comfort is not peace.

Comfort is often just a well decorated cage.

Tonight we're starting a series called Abraham, father of faith and fortune.

And the first message is called to be blessed.

Not called to be popular, not called to be trendy, not called to be liked.

Called to be blessed.

Because God does not bless laziness.

God does not bless compromise.

God does not bless disobedience.

God blesses obedience.

God blesses faith.

God blesses people who respond when heaven speaks.

Now listen carefully.

The Lord said to Abraham, go to your country, your people and your father's household, to a land I will show you.

I will make you into a great nation.

And I will bless you.

I will make your name great and you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you.

And whoever curses you, I will curse.

All the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

That is in Genesis 12, 1:3.

Now watch this, brothers and sisters.

God did not start with Abraham.

You're going to be rich.

God started with go.

Because in the kingdom, movement is proof, movement is evidence, movement is a Recipe is a receipt that faith is real.

Say it with me.

Faith moves.

Say it again.

Faith moves.

And Hebrews 11:8 backs it up by faith.

Abraham obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

Hebrews 11:8.

You want to tell me you.

You want me to tell you why many believers stay stuck?

Because we want God to give us the full plan before we obey the first instruction.

We want the blueprint, we want the five year forecast, we want the confirmation email from heaven.

But God says, son, daughter, if you can't obey me when you don't know, you're not ready for what you claim you want.

This is why the message is not cute.

It's not soft, it's not a motivational poster.

This is a spiritual inspection.

Because some of us are praying for Abraham's blessing while living in Lot's mindset.

And I'm going to say it plainly.

You cannot want covenant blessing with a convenience lifestyle.

The blessing begins with separation.

Genesis 12:1 starts the command, go from your country, your people and your father's household.

In other words, leave what formed you.

Leave what normalized your limits.

Leave what keeps you thinking small.

Brothers and sisters.

The blessing begins when God gets you away from what drains you.

Because some environments are not neutral.

Some environments are anti faith.

They don't just make you tired, they make you doubt God.

Let me say it like this.

Some people love you, but they can't have the capacity to carry the version of you that God is calling forth.

So they keep you familiar, they keep you manageable, they keep you explainable.

But God says, abraham, I'm about to enlarge you.

And the old environment is too small for what I'm about to do.

And here's the party that's going to sting.

But it will save your life.

If you won't separate, you won't elevate.

Say, no separation, no elevation.

Say it again.

No separation, no elevation.

Because prosperity is not about money.

Prosperity is also about the quality of your relationships.

The quality of your thinking, the quality of your obedience.

Some of you keep asking God for a new season while you keep entertaining old circles.

You keep asking God for favor while still feeding old addictions.

You keep asking God for increase while still living the same casualness.

And God is not confused.

God is not mocked.

He said, go.

Not stay and complain, not stay and negotiate.

Not stay and explain your trauma.

And I'm not minimizing pain, I'm not minimizing history.

But I'm maximizing obedience.

Because sometimes healing is not only a prayer.

Sometimes healing is a move.

Sometimes deliverance is not only tears.

Sometimes deliverance is a decision.

Now let's get practical.

Separation can look like cutting off conversations that poison your faith.

Leaving a job that is feeling compromised and trusting God for a better path.

Changing your roots, your friends, your private habits.

Refusing to keep explaining yourself to people who benefit from your smallness.

My, my, my.

Listen carefully.

Separation is not hatred.

Separation is holiness.

And holiness is not being weird.

Holiness is being set apart for God's purpose.

And when God says go, he's not punishing you.

He is positioning you.

The blessing is a covenant, not a vibe.

Now watch the language God uses in Genesis 12.

He says, I will.

I will.

I will.

I will make you.

I will bless you.

I will make your name great.

That is covenant language, meaning this is not Abraham begging God to do something.

This is God binding himself to his own promise.

Brothers and sisters, let me help somebody.

Covenant is stronger than your emotions.

Covenant is stronger than your bank balance.

Covenant is stronger than your childhood.

Covenant is stronger than the economy.

That's why you can't base your faith on how you feel on a Tuesday.

Because some of you, your faith changes, like your data bundle.

When the signal is strong, you're a prophet.

When the signal is weak, you're an atheist.

No, no, no.

The covenant is not a vibe.

It's not, I feel blessed.

It's God said it.

And covenant prosperity is this.

God gives you promise but expects your participation.

He doesn't call you to sit and fantasize.

He calls you to walk and build.

So Abraham is not a poster boy for lazy prosperity.

He's a blueprint for covenant partnership.

He obeyed.

He traveled.

He built altars.

He navigated conflict.

He stewarded relationships.

And that's why I'm not preaching money falls from the sky.

I'm preaching God's blessing follows obedience, wisdom, stewardship, and covenant alignment.

And listen.

This is crucial.

The blessing is not only for survival.

It is for impact.

God says, I'll make your name great.

Some people misuse that and say, ah, Abraham was chasing fame.

No, he wasn't chasing fame.

He was carrying assignment.

Your assignment can make your name known without you seeking it.

Jesus didn't chase popularity.

He chased purpose.

He said in John 4:34, My food is to do the will of him who sent me.

In other words, I'm not eating clout, I'm eating assignment.

Moses didn't chase influence.

He chased God's presence.

David didn't chase brand deals.

He chased God's heart.

Paul didn't chase comfort.

He chased the gospel assignment makes people visible, not the hunger for visibility.

So if you want Abraham's blessing, stop asking God for visibility and start asking God for obedience.

Because the blessing is covenant, not vibes.

You're blessed to be a blessing.

Now the final part in Genesis 12, 2, 3 is the part that exposes selfish Christianity.

God says, you will be a blessing and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

So the goal of prosperity is not showing off.

The goal of prosperity is showing up.

Showing up for your family, showing up for kingdom work, showing up for the poor, showing up for the next generation.

And let me say a hard truth.

If your prosperity ends with you, it's not a biblical blessing.

It's a selfish accumulation.

The blessing of Abraham is a pipeline blessing, not a storage blessing.

Save after me.

I am a channel.

Say it again.

I am a channel.

Because some people pray for increase, but they don't have a plan for impact.

They don't have a given culture, they don't have a saving discipline, they don't have a legacy mindset.

And they wonder why heaven delays it.

God doesn't bless you to become proud.

He blesses you to become useful.

And this is why Matthew 6:33 matters.

Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.

And all these things will be given to you as well.

Seek first meaning.

The blessing follows alignment.

Double mindedness stops the flow.

Now here's a warning.

In love James 1:68 says, the double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Unstable thinking produces unstable giving.

Unstable living produces unstable results.

Some of you want the blessing, but you keep flirting with compromise.

You want God's hand, but you don't want God's holiness.

You want the reward but not the road.

But Abraham's blessing came with Abraham's obedience.

So here's the question.

What is the thing?

God is telling you to leave not because he hates you, but because he's about to enlarge you right now.

Wherever you are.

Take a moment, ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, what are you telling me to leave?

Lord, what are you telling me to start?

Lord, where am I delaying all obedience?

Because your next season is not locked behind a demon.

Your next season is locked behind a decision.

Here are some questions for reflection.

What is the er, God is calling out of an environment, a habit, relationship or identity?

Where have you demanded clarity before obedience?

Are you pursuing blessing for comfort or for calling?

And four, if God increased you massively, who gets blessed through you and how?

Let us pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for your word.

You called Abraham and you call us Lord.

I repent for every place where I have delayed obedience.

I repent for fear disguised as wisdom.

I repent for comfort disguised as peace.

Give me the courage to move when you say go.

Give me the strength to separate from what contaminates my faith.

Give me the discipline to pursue holiness without compromise.

Father, I ask you to activate covenant blessing over my life.

And not for pride, not for show, not for selfishness, but for impact.

Make me a channel.

Bless my hands, bless my mind, bless my decisions.

Bless my household open doors no man can shut.

Give me wisdom for stewardship.

Give me grace for the process.

And let your blessing rest on me in such a way that my family changes, my future changes.

And people around me taste and see that the Lord is good.

I declare.

I will obey.

I will move, I will build.

I will become who you called me to be.

Be in Jesus name and all of God's people said amen.
