Wirecast Go: YouTube Live from Mobile with Under 1,000 Subscribers -- FREE App.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GO LIVE FROM WIRECAST GO:
The following directions detail how I was able to go live from Wirecast Go. Please let me know if this works for you.
1) On your desktop or laptap computer, click the camera/plus button at the top right and select "Go Live." It will take you to a page with 3 options at the top middle: Webcam, Stream Beta, and Manage.
2) Click "Stream Beta." Then go to the bottom right of that page and click "Classic Live Streaming."
3) If you've live streamed before, there should be a title and description already loaded up in the page that clicking "Classic Live Streaming" takes you to. Whatever is in the title field should show up in your list of options in Wirecast Go (if you haven't gone live this way before, enter title, description and any other required info and you can create a new broadcast or change the info to fit your upcoming broadcast).
4) When you hit the red button in Wirecast Go, don't select "Start New Broadcast" under YouTube. That will deny you the ability to go live if your channel has fewer than 1k subscribers. Instead, select the video title (should be in a list above "Start New Broadcast") from your "Classic Live Streaming" page on the browser version of YouTube.
DESCRIPTION:
Ross Brand of Livestream Universe talks with Stephen Heywood of Telestream Wirecast about how to livestream to YouTube from mobile regardless of how many subscribers your channel has. To go live from Wirecast Go to YouTube, set up a livestreaming event if you haven't streamed live to YouTube before or change the title and descriptions of a past YouTube live video event to match the broadcast you are about to stream. Then choose that video title in Wirecast Go and you will be able to Go Live. Wirecast Go enables you to livestream to YouTube Live from a mobile device while also adding professional production elements to your broadcast. Telestream is the makers of Wirecast 12, the latest version of the award-winning livestreaming and video production software for desktop and labtop computers, and Screenflow, which was used to edit this video.
