What if the change we're waiting for isn't coming for us?

What if it's coming through us?

We pulled this conversation from the I Ching Mashup vault, recorded back in January 2026—before this podcast had even officially become a podcast. And listening to it now feels a little... interesting.

At the time, Michele and Lisa were noticing something.

So many traditions, teachers, cycles and conversations seemed to be pointing toward change. Period 9. The Fire Horse. The Age of Aquarius. Ancient teachings showing up in surprisingly modern ways.

But we kept coming back to a bigger question:

Are we waiting for the world to change—or are we being asked to change the way we meet the world?

So we brought this to the I Ching:

What can we do to safely integrate, accept and allow the incoming energy and changes so that we can experience self-actualization rather than self-imposed purgatory? I Ching Mashup with Michele and…

Yes. We actually said self-imposed purgatory.

And then we pulled the cards.

We're going to leave the rest there.

Because listening to this conversation nine months later, knowing everything that has unfolded since we recorded it, is part of what makes this one so fascinating.

Maybe change isn't asking us to predict what's coming.

Maybe the more interesting question is:

Who will you be when it gets here?

Come into the vault and mash it up with us.

A Note From Lisa & Michele

This episode was originally recorded on January 7, 2026, before the official launch of I Ching Mashup. We're opening our vault from time to time to share conversations that feel especially relevant to where we are now.

Turns out... we had a lot to say before we knew we were making a podcast. 😉

We are grateful you joined us!
