Shownotes

The podcast delves into the intricate structure of astrological signs, illuminating the division of each sign into ten distinct degrees. This subdivision is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of astrological placements, as each degree imparts unique characteristics and influences to the celestial bodies situated therein. Throughout the discussion, the speaker emphasizes the importance of these degrees in personal astrology, positing that planets occupying specific degrees will embody the qualities associated with those degrees. For instance, an Aries rising with a planetary placement in the first ten degrees will exhibit certain traits that are characteristic of that segment. This nuanced approach to astrology encourages listeners to examine their own charts with greater scrutiny, unlocking deeper layers of interpretation and self-awareness. As the speaker articulates, understanding the interplay between planetary positions and the specific degrees they inhabit can significantly enhance one's astrological insight.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

We talk about each sign is broke up into 10 degrees.

Speaker A:

There's 30 degrees in every sign.

Speaker A:

10, 10 and 10.

Speaker A:

Well, if you look at page 80, you look at page 80, it goes.

Speaker A:

It has a description for each 10 degrees.

Speaker A:

So if you got planets in those 10 degrees, right?

Speaker A:

So it.

Speaker A:

And you're ascending and stuff like that.

Speaker A:

So for instance, if you're Aries rising in between 10, 0 to 10, you know, say your moon or Jupiter or something, or Venus is in this 10 degrees of this earth, that planet will take on some of the qualities of this 10 degrees.

Speaker A:

So that would be another layer that you would add to your onion of delineation trying to figure out what this actually means to you personally.

Speaker A:

I have placement in Gemini within 0 to 10 degrees.

Speaker A:

And in Isabel Hickey's a Cosmic signs, it says, most restless and diffused of the three deacons.

Speaker A:

Strong tie with family and cling to ancestral halls because of insecurity and decisiveness.

Speaker A:

Most talkative if Saturn is not strong, needs to learn to be quiet.

Speaker A:

And I have a planet there, actually it happens to be Saturn.

Speaker A:

And I did a podcast called Silent and Listen.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

And it just says if Saturn is not strong, needs to learn to be quiet.

Speaker A:

Anyone who has anything in Gemini from 0 to 10 degrees that applies to you, that planet or you know, if you have one of your angles, if you have like your.

Speaker A:

Your ascendant or MC or IC or MC is midheaven or your ic, which is the very bottom of your chart and the descendant which is opposite, very opposite of your ascendant in the seventh house.

Speaker A:

Mostly in the seventh house.

Speaker A:

Well, it's going to be in the seventh.

Speaker A:

Well, yeah, his whole sign is going to be in the seventh house.

Speaker A:

Placid is not so much.

Speaker A:

So if you have something in Gemini within those tender and from 0 to 10 degrees, and when it comes to that planet or that whatever planet it is or aspect that it placement that is, that is also going to apply to that planetary energy, right?

Speaker A:

So when it comes to your Jupiter, you say that your Jupiter falls there.

Speaker A:

All right, so now you have to look at to eat.

Speaker A:

To get even more detail.

Speaker A:

You look at the house that the Jupiter is in.

Speaker A:

Then you look at the two houses that Jupiter rule and the subjects and topics of those houses to see what type of Jupiter strong ties when it Jupiter strong ties with family that you cling to that brings insecurity and indecisiveness with those subjects of those topics of those houses.

Speaker A:

Gemini has to do with communication.

Speaker A:

And Jupiter is in detriment in Gemini.

Speaker A:

So what's that mean?

Speaker A:

There's a planet of growth and expansion in the sound of communication.

Speaker A:

It's in detriment and it controls fifth house topic and eighth house topics.

Speaker A:

So when it comes to fifth house topics and eighth house topics, how is your communication with inside those areas?

Speaker A:

Is it excellent?

Speaker A:

Is it a work in progress?

Speaker A:

Is it something you got to work on?

Speaker A:

This is.

Speaker A:

This is how you self study your own chart beside, you take this information and, and figure your stuff out.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

That's, that's.

Speaker A:

Yeah, but this is.

Speaker A:

You figure out that planetary energy.

Speaker A:

Jupiter.

Speaker A:

What's Jupiter about?

Speaker A:

Let's find out.

Speaker A:

How do you.

Speaker A:

So this is the way you would use this.

Speaker A:

All right, let me show you how to use this book.

Speaker A:

That's what y' all need.

Speaker A:

Y' all need a lesson on how to use this book, huh?

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So should you read it from COVID to cover?

Speaker A:

So if you look on page 35 says the symbol of Jupiter.

Speaker A:

Did you hear the book I'm talking about?

Speaker A:

It's called Isabel Hickey, A Cosmic Sign.

Speaker A:

And I'm looking at the PDF too, right now.

Speaker A:

since I want to say at least:

Speaker A:

About:

Speaker A:

When was Covid.

Speaker A:

2020.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Was:

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So I've been, I've been doing.

Speaker A:

h traditional astrology since:

Speaker A:

But you know, I had been in astrology years before that.

Speaker A:

I was doing modern.

Speaker A:

I was taking a modern, modern approach.

Speaker A:

And I also like to dabble with evolutionary astrology.

Speaker A:

Be honest with you.

Speaker A:

I'll be totally, totally honest with you.

Speaker A:

My entry door into astrology was at the evolutionary, kind of the evolutionary go away.

Speaker A:

Because the first astrology book I ever had was Jan Spillers.

Speaker A:

Jan Spillers.

Speaker A:

I think it's called Spiritual Astrology.

Speaker A:

I still got that mug.

Speaker A:

Don't it look like my very first astrology book?

Speaker A:

The book look like it been through it, huh?

Speaker A:

But yeah, this is my very first astrology book.

Speaker A:

Jan Spiller and Karen McCoy a spiritual astrology, A Path to Divine Awakening.

Speaker A:

So that was my very first astrology book.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And as you can see, it's a spiritual astrology.

Speaker A:

Spiritual astrology.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Which is.

Speaker A:

Yeah, so my, my, my, my entry door into astrology was on more on a spiritual thing.

Speaker A:

And then I went into modern astrology, which is more psychology based.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Because be honest with you, not everybody want to talk about that soul.

Speaker A:

Soul level.

Speaker A:

Shit.

Speaker A:

Hey, bro, I just wanted to.

Speaker A:

I just wanted to talk about if I'm gonna get.

Speaker A:

If I'm gonna find a lover.

Speaker A:

I ain't want to talk to you about my soul.

Speaker A:

You going too deep.

Speaker A:

I just wanted to know if I'm gonna get a job.

Speaker A:

Why are you talking to me about my soul?

Speaker A:

So, yeah, not everybody trying to get that deep in that spiritual.

Speaker A:

Hey, I'm.

Speaker A:

I'm just.

Speaker A:

I'm just trying to make it through the day.

Speaker A:

I'm not trying to work on nothing on the soul level.

Speaker A:

You ain't trying to work on nothing on a soul level.

Speaker A:

Huh?

Speaker A:

Am.

Speaker A:

Hey, am I Erykah Badu in my Erykah Badu voice?

Speaker A:

I guess I see you next lifetime.

Speaker A:

All right, so.

Speaker A:

But this 20.

Speaker A:

Damn.

Speaker A:

Damn.

Speaker A:

God damn.

Speaker A:

This is 20, 25.

Speaker A:

God damn.

Speaker A:

So I've been messing with traditional astrology for six.

Speaker A:

Going on for six years.

Speaker A:

God damn.

Speaker A:

Whoo.

Speaker A:

God damn.

Speaker A:

So, yeah, that's what I probably.

Speaker A:

It's been.

Speaker A:

Damn.

Speaker A:

Five years, Six years.

Speaker A:

Five years since I've really been in that modern astrology bag, like on a daily basis.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So when I was reading some of this.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So how would you use it?

Speaker A:

We at page 35, you know, I'm saying, looking at Jupiter says Jupiter.

Speaker A:

What is Jupiter?

Speaker A:

Jupiter represents the principle of expansion, aspiration and inspiration.

Speaker A:

Super conscious.

Speaker A:

Super conscious.

Speaker A:

Self understanding, prosperity and abundance, faith and optimism, religion and philosophy, friendliness.

Speaker A:

Jupiter's all that.

Speaker A:

Now that now then.

Speaker A:

All right, now you gotta look.

Speaker A:

Then you look at the sign, and then you gotta add that sign flavor to those keywords.

Speaker A:

So those keywords with whatever sign you got Jupiter in.

Speaker A:

So with this you could just.

Speaker A:

All right, you see what Jupiter.

Speaker A:

Then you would scroll down to.

Speaker A:

Then you scroll down Chapter 17, page 172, Jupiter and signs in house.

Speaker A:

And then you find the sign that your Jupiter is in.

Speaker A:

And you remember those keywords from them first keywords from Jupiter.

Speaker A:

And then you add what it says with this Jupiter.

Speaker A:

So you got Jupiter and Taurus.

Speaker A:

You got Jupiter in Gemini, you got Jupiter and Sag.

Speaker A:

That's Jupiter, Scorpio, wherever your Jupiter is.

Speaker A:

Then after that, you look at the house in which that Jupiter is in.

Speaker A:

If it's in.

Speaker A:

If it's in the third, that those Jupiter keywords.

Speaker A:

And that in that sign that applies to Jupiter is going to apply to the topics of that house in which Jupiter's in.

Speaker A:

But wait, that's not it.

Speaker A:

There's more.

Speaker A:

The show must go on then Jupiter, you know, in Life.

Speaker A:

You know what people like to run from?

Speaker A:

Responsibility, accountability.

Speaker A:

So guess what?

Speaker A:

In astrology the universe says, hey planet, I don't care what condition you're in, what environment you're in, what you got to deal with all these people coming, all these other planets coming around messing with you.

Speaker A:

I don't care.

Speaker A:

You still responsible for your rulership.

Speaker A:

You are still responsible for the affairs that go on in those respected houses.

Speaker A:

Because Jupiter for, so for Jupiter, Jupiter rules two houses, Sagittarius and Pisces.

Speaker A:

Now you take, now you take those Jupiter keywords and you take those Jupiter keywords and put it in that sign flavor sauce, you know, barbecue sauce, dipping sauce.

Speaker A:

Take that Jupiter and put it in that sign dipping sauce.

Speaker A:

Like a nugget or something and then a chicken tender.

Speaker A:

Too bad I don't have a paid endorsement.

Speaker A:

This would be a good chance to put in this, put in a shout out for one of those chicken tender places.

Speaker A:

Anyway.

Speaker A:

So yeah, you take the, you take it and you dip it in the flavor the sign dipping sauce and you, you look at it and before you eat it, you gotta make those other two houses take a bite.

Speaker A:

I go like a mama bird bringing, bringing food back to the baby birds.

Speaker A:

Two birds in the nerd, in the nest, chirping away, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp.

Speaker A:

And then the mama bird comes and regurgitates the food into the baby bear's mouth.

Speaker A:

Yeah, well that Jupiter who is in that house, in that sign, although it's doing this thing over there, it's still a mama bird and gotta go feed those two baby birds, Pisces and Sagittarius.

Speaker A:

And those baby birds don't want to hear, hey, ain't no food out there.

Speaker A:

Hey, I got beat up by another bird.

Speaker A:

I got robbed on the way back to the nest.

Speaker A:

They want they food.

Speaker A:

So when it comes to your Jupiter right in your Sagittarius and Pisces area, what kind, if it was a baby bird, what kind of food is your Jupiter regurgitating to those two areas?

Speaker A:

When it comes to topics, those topics, how would are those topics well fed or are they malnourished?

Speaker A:

You say malnourished?

Speaker A:

Well how can I tell if it's malnourished?

Speaker A:

Well that's what conditions are about, detriment.

Speaker A:

Like Jupiter's in detriment and Gemini and Virgo.

Speaker A:

That's what fall is about.

Speaker A:

You know, Jupiter's in fall and Capricorn, you know, that's what aspects about.

Speaker A:

Do you have stressful aspects, squares, oppositions, or do you have supporting aspects, sextiles trines, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

Do you have a blending of an energy with.

Speaker A:

Is this Jupiter near something?

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

What would that be like equivalent to y' all sitting down there and you got one plate of food and you gotta share with another planet.

Speaker A:

Is, is that planet friendly with Jupiter?

Speaker A:

Is Jupiter willingly sharing the food or begrudgingly sharing the food?

Speaker A:

Is he sharing the food with a enemy or is he sharing the food with a lover?

Speaker A:

An enemy, he might be just giving them bare minimum if it's a lover, you know, y' all might be sitting there eating spaghetti with one end on this end and y' all sucking it until y' all kiss each other.

Speaker A:

Is that your Jupiter with that planet?

Speaker A:

You know, you know, the long noodle.

Speaker A:

So not a book, it's just a grid.

Speaker A:

It's one grid, there's no book.

Speaker A:

Rulership is in a one grid about that big.

Speaker A:

There's no book.

Speaker A:

So that's how you can go about self studying, trying to figure out what the hell your Jupiter means for you and your chart.

Speaker A:

That's how you do it.

Speaker A:

Now the question is, do you want to take the time to sit there and go through every planning and all that stuff to figure that out, to figure you out.

Speaker A:

How important are you to you?

Speaker A:

I personally, I, you know, I think you're better reading you than somebody else would be.

Speaker A:

You can figure you out better than somebody else.

Speaker A:

All you need is the information, know how to use it.

Speaker A:

So I could, I could bring you to an area, I could bring you to an area and all of that and tell you.

Speaker A:

But you know, you going through the information, you sitting back reflecting, you doing that on your own, you'll get a whole lot deeper than you know.

Speaker A:

But that takes time.
