A Proper Perspective – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on
Day 1830 of our
trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.
Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy.
Proverbs 16:16 says,
"How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Janette Oke, and it is,
“A quiet morning with a loving God puts the events of the upcoming day into proper perspective.”
A Proper Perspective
How do you start your day? I realize that not everyone is a morning person, as I tend to be, so you may have to flip your schedule around. The key is to make sure you set aside time each day to invest with God through the reading of His Word and praying. Early morning works for me and certainly sets the tone for my entire day.
I get up at 5:00 am each weekday and listen to Scripture, devotionals, and uplifting podcasts while I exercise. I exercise for about 75 minutes, allowing for a significant amount of time to make sure that my mind is set correctly and that I build on a Biblical worldview. If I have the correct worldview, then I can filter the mass of information that I consume during the day based on God’s perspective instead of my inclinations.
So no matter what time you wake up each day, start it with God. We need a proper perspective of life, which will only happen when we filter it through God’s perspective.
Romans 12:2
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our
